How To Get Traffic Like The Pros

How To Get Traffic Like The Pros

Download Free Copy Of 7 Totally Free Ways To Get More Traffic!
Are you struggling to make money online? Are you constantly working your butt off writing content each and every day but are still not getting much traffic?

If you want to make money online, you must put out content. The more content you put out, the more chances you will have to make sales. But what good is putting out content if nobody ever sees it?

It doesn't matter if you are the greatest writer in the world... if nobody sees it, you can't make sales. In fact, you can be a terrible writer but as long as you have traffic... you will make more sales than the person who is the best writer in the world and has no traffic.

Ok ok... so I have stressed the fact that traffic is important if you want to make money online. So what is one of the best ways to get a large amount of traffic to your site quickly?

Using Social Media Marketing!

Social Media Marketing is the use of Social Media sites (of course) such as FaceBook, Twitter and MySpace, to send traffic to your sites. You can get a lot of traffic very quickly with these types of sites and the best part is it's FREE!

But you must be very careful when using these sites because they are all more like little communities who are very protective. You must provide them with great quality content or they will bury you. But we all create great quality content all the time anyways right?

Also, did I mention that they hate Marketers?

Don't be scared though because if you don't spam them, you will be fine. This is a good thing because we all know what a pain spammers can be. So as long as you write good content that provides good information and not all "salesy", you'll be fine.

Another thing you should do before you start submitting content to these sites is to participate in these communities and get a feel for what is expected. After you have explored these sites and have joined in on all of the fun (ex. commenting on FaceBook and MySpace pages, sending out helpful Tweets, giving a thumbs up or down on sites), then after you have done this for awhile you can start to submit your own content slowly.

You should also only submit a small percentage of your content compared to commenting on other peoples submissions.

To begin with you can sign into these social sites and fill out the profiles. Filling out the profiles completely is a must. There are many 'how to' guides on the best procedures when filling out social media profiles.

Moreover, there are videos that show you step-by-step how to set up your FaceBook, MySpace and Twitter profiles the RIGHT way as well as giving excellent tips on how to get traffic from these sites without coming across as a spammer and eventually getting kicked out of the community.

I wish you well with your social media marketing. It really is a great way to get FREE traffic and mix with the members. Give it a try and see for yourself.

10 Secrets to Using Twitter to Attract More Followers and Get More Clients

10 Secrets to Using Twitter to Attract More Followers and Get More Clients

I do wonder at times if some Twitter users have any time to get any work done. Several of the more prolific ones that I follow swear they spend no more than 30 minutes a day on Twitter, but I really find that hard to believe. Many times it seems they are twittering just to say something, like "Good morning Twitterverse" when they begin their day, give more details than I want to know about what they had for lunch, what their children said to them, or when they take a nap.

I realize that this is part of the "like, know, and trust" process that enables people to get to know each other, but sometimes it's simply too much information..LOL. I'm Twittering primarily to market my business. Consequently, I try and limit my personal twitters to no more than 2 per day. My clients, who create Twitter accounts for marketing, as well, tell me, "I'm signed up. Now what in the world do I Twitter about? How do I market my business with this tool?"

Here are 10 strategies that I use regularly to marketing my business and my expertise via Twitter. Remember, you have only 140 characters for your tweet (Twitter post).

1. How you're helping clients. Talk about specific ways that your business helps clients and use their Twitter ID if you have their permission, i.e. "Just finished @clientname brainstorm great Internet marketing plan for 2009" or "Finally finished setting up Quickbooks for local hardware store -- now they can invoice their clients"

2. What you're doing in your own business. This is a perfect time to tell others when you're blogging, writing an article, creating your weekly ezine, recording your podcast, i.e. "Had great interview with Jane Smith today on speaking to grow your biz. Great ideas! Subscribe to podcast & listen here "

3. Useful tool or resource you've found. I run across these all the time in my daily activities, and Twitter is a perfect place to share,. i.e. "Found great new Firefox plug-in to monitor & check multiple Gmail accounts at same time at " or "Read great blog post on working at home with kids under 5 at (URL here)"

4. Ask a question. Need some ideas or some quick brainstorming? Twitter is an ideal place to gather opinions, i.e. "Help! Desperately seeking new laser printer. Recommendations?" or "How do I find training organizations online?"

5. Conduct a survey. What do your Tweeps think about a particular issue? Ask them via Twitter, i.e. "Quick poll: Do you get more clients from Facebook or Twitter? Respond at (URL here)"

6. Report on live events. The latest Twitter trend seems to be tweeting what's happening at conferences or workshops. In order for Twitter users to follow a particular event, it's usually referred to by a name preceded by a # sign, as in #JVAlert, for example, to make it simpler for people who want to follow those posts. So, if you were at an event, you might tweet "#JVAlert John Smith speaking on affiliate programs. Just got great idea on training affiliate managers!" Just don't get so wrapped up in tweeting that you ignore the content delivered in the conference!

7. Product or service launch. If you're about to launch a new product or introduce a new product, let your Twitter followers know, i.e. "Pre-launch pricing for new DVD set about how baby boomers can start an online biz. Get $100 early bird discount at (URL here)"

8. Responding to others with advice or answers. The way to build professional relationships on Twitter is to help your tweeps. So, if someone asks a question, comments about something to which you have a response or an idea, or you want to ask a followup question, this is the perfect place to do so.

9. Acknowledging new followers. I've noticed a recent trend of acknowledging people who've decided to follow a Twitter user in the past day or so. I initially thought that others were doing this as a measure of popularity, but what I've come to realize that it's actually helping out the new followers because it exposes their Twitter profiles to others who may have never heard of them and who might like to follow them. So, to thank your followers, you'd tweet, "Welcome new followers @twittername, @twittername, etc."

10. Automate your tweets. Many of my tweets have been automated and connected to other things I do. TwitterFeed turns all of my blog posts into tweets. aWeber turns each ezine issue into a tweet. EzineArticles.com tweets my followers every time I publish an article through their service. Typically all that's involved here is connecting the particular service to my Twitter account. Once all the services are connected, I get free and automated Twitter posts with no additional effort on my part.

Twitter can be a great time-waster or a wonderful way to market your business and leverage your expertise online. Follow these 10 strategies and you'll begin to attract more followers and get more clients through social networking.

Here's your best chance to get them to buy from your website. It's Social Media Marketing

Here's your best chance to get them to buy from your website. It's Social Media Marketing

We're going to share your best chance of people visiting your site and eventually buying from you. What do think the chances are that people that click off your site will return at all...let alone make a purchase? Not good at all.

This is true of all websites out there. The only semi-sure way to get people to come back to your site is to have their email address so that you can keep the lines of communications going and invite (coerce?) them to come back and visit, maybe even buy something.

"How can I get their email address", you ask? Easy, make them an offer they can't refuse—literally! This is what industry insiders call a compelling offer. Yes, you could just ASK for the email. If you provide an excellent service, and you have prospects that are also adoring fans, they may give you the email address with nothing in exchange expected. Good luck with that.

We non-guru powers have to give them something of value in exchange, of course. People like keeping their info private and they are uncomfortable with giving that personal info to others...especially if they don't yet know, like, nor trust you.

Before you can give them a compelling offer, you need to have something to capture their information with. You can call this a capture form. A capture form is 2 or 3 three lines (depending on whether you're confident enough to ask for their phone number). This form is obtained from an auto responder service that usually cost about $20 per month. There are free services out there, but they usually require that you purchase leads from them as a package deal.

HOLD IT! What the heck is this auto responder thing you keep talking about?

Well, we're getting to that. Basically, it's a premade set of email messages that you write and set up in advance to end up in your prospect's email box at certain intervals. I don't know if that definition will help the newbies out there. Just understand that's it can be an internet marketer's best friend. By the time I'm done explaining it, hopefully it will be clear. Be patient.

First you need a capture page:

A capture/landing page is a website usually with only 1 page designed specifically to convince someone that it's a good idea to put their email address, name, and even phone number into the slot in exchange for a compelling offer—a free report, eBook, video tutorial, etc. Something that's of value to the prospect.

Your landing page conversions will increase once you answer three of the most common questions asked by visitors who receive your invitation to visit their website.

(By the way, I have a favorite service for as many capture pages and different auto responders as you need. I'll provide the info in the author box below.)

Question #1 Am I at the correct place?

The info you give out on your communication (video, blog post, etc) piece needs to match what you sell on the landing page. Visually, this means that if you feature a photo of an iPod on your video you should feature that same photo on your landing page. If your compelling offer is for an interest rate of prime plus 1.8 percent, then your landing page needs to match that.

Question #2 Where is the one thing I'm looking for?

Your landing page is not so much a webpage as a response device. So if you have invited your article reader to download a funky new cell phone ringtone from your site, make that ringtone simple to find on your page and easy to download.

If you're offering a free white paper, show a picture of it and instructions on how to get it.

If you're offering a discount that visitors receive by entering a discount code found on your info communication, make the place where they enter that code on your landing page impossible to miss.

Question #3 Can I trust these people?

Trust is the deal breaker online (and offline). Buyers who decide they cannot trust you won't buy. So if your information wins their trust but your landing page loses it, you lose the sale - and the customer. Which means you must avoid the things that create suspicion, and employ the tactics that increase trust online.

Avoid landing page mistakes that arouse suspicion:

1. No office address

2. No phone number

3. Testimonials by people who only have initials

4. Extravagant claims

Use landing page elements that create trust:

1. Better Business Bureau logo and link to the online profile of the BBB member

2. eTrust logo

3. Name, address, phone number and email address of principals in the company

4. Toll-free customer service phone number

5. Endorsements from trusted third parties, such as The Wall Street Journal or Lloyds of London. Even a RAG is better than nothing...

Remember that your landing page is part-two of your direct sales pitch. You'll convert more visitors into buyers when you give them what they expect to find, make the process easy and quick, and avoid the tactics used by spammers and scammers.

Of course, you don't have to use a capture page if you already have a website of your own. You can just copy the code from your auto responder service for the capture form and embed it into your website code. But remember! A capture page is for those of you that have a replicated site that is used by a lot of other people in order to differentiate yourself from the others.

Why Social Media Marketing Trends are Important

Why Social Media Marketing Trends are Important
Download Free Copy Of Web 2.0-The Latest Internet Wave
People have finally started to recognize how valuable social media marketing can be. Recently one of my health related clients' book publisher was talking about the importance of social media to the traditional publishing industry. She said they now strategize books that have websites for reference materials and more information, and places where people can host e-books and bookmarked pages from new book releases.

Just like any marketing campaign, Social Media Marketing (SMM) takes hard work, tracking, which the Internet makes easy, as well as maintenance. And we can easily blend traditional campaign tactics with SMM, including direct-response, branding, or radio spots. It's all about the objective for the campaign, then fine tuning the right strategy. The Web provides the ideal method for measurement and retuirn on investment(SOI).

Many organizations are allowing employees to use social networks for business purposes today; it has increased dramatically to 69% in 2008 from 37% last year. More than six in 10 companies are using social media to build and promote their brands, improve communication and increase consumer engagement. There's been a fivefold increase in the percentage of employees who are using popular social networking sites like Facebook and LinkedIn for business purposes, from 15% in 2007 to 75% this year. About 37% of organizations plan to focus communities on specialty areas where they can provide focused business value. More than 40% of respondents report using one or more of the following tools: user groups, tags, communities, blogs, social networking and videos. What are the most popular internal tools? Social networks, blogs and wikis, with adoption rates of between 50% and 55%.

What is the future of Social Media Marketing? Just imagine the magnitude of virtual classrooms! Even futurists like James Canton, the author of "The Extreme Future," has already said that one of the top ten industries of the innovation economy is, education and learning.

In an article written by a professor of computer science at Colorado Technical University named Cynthia M. Calonge, she notes, "the benefits outweigh the risks associated with venturing into a virtual world educational platform. For me, the virtual world is my preferred learning and teaching environment."

We will all be seeing more and more people setting up social media networks to engage with customers and students, basically to start conversations and share knowledge. This means that websites need to be filled with content to educate people about what they do. The sites must also be optimized properly with the search engines so that they will come up first on the search engines. And blogs are becomming a way of life. Self publishing will win out in the long run.

The reality is, that the creation of immediate, portable, transferable, on-demand knowledge sources is way bigger than we can even begin to imagine.

The Value Of Creating A Social Media Marketing Strategy

The Value Of Creating A Social Media Marketing Strategy
Download Free Copy Of Web 2.0-The Latest Internet Wave
In this article I want to talk about creating a social media marketing strategy for your business. This is very easy to do and can be a tremendous source of traffic for your Internet business as well as developing relationships with potential customers.

Social Media refers to activities that integrate technology, social interaction, and the construction of words, pictures, videos and audio. The internet is perfect for this as the various ways you communicate online today have gone far beyond emailing or having a website.

Doug Firebaugh is someone I remember from a few years back as being a tremendous mlm trainer and teacher. He wrote an article I saw in The American Chronicles titled "Social Media Marketing Success- Three Steps on How To Maximize Your Efforts" which I really enjoyed!

http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/77603

It did a very good job of encouraging anyone regardless of their skill level right now to get involved in social media! There is going to be a small learning curve to this, but it is well worth the effort to do so.

Examples of social media today include blogging, social bookmarking, social networking, videos, podcasts, webinars, audio, and much more. Websites like Twitter, Stumbleupon, Propeller, OnlyWire, Facebook, YouTube, WordPress, and countless others are fast becoming the leaders in social media marketing.

Creating a social media marketing strategy does not have to be difficult either. For example, you could blog and social bookmark your blog post. One way to do that would be to bookmark to multiple directories using Onlywire.com, and then individually bookmark to Digg, Stumbleupon, Propeller, Technorati, Google Bookmarks, Yahoo Bookmarks, and Windows Live.

Then create a shortened URL for your blog posts at TinyURL.com. Create a Twitter.com account and post your Tinyurl as an update, so that people who follow you can see you have made an update and check it out.

Because a blog articles only needs to be in the 250 to 300 word range, you can write an article and do this whole bookmarking process in less than 30 minutes.

The advantages to creating a marketing strategy using social media in this manner includes getting traffic from the various social directories, as well as search engine bait, which can lead to long term traffic from search engines.

My suggestion is you find something that appeals to you in the social media marketing arena and give it a try. Eventually you will settle into what works well for you, and then you can increase your Internet business from the benefits of having a social media marketing strategy.
