Here's a second example using professional organizers:

Most of their potential clients share many similar feelings, regardless of what their specific problem is (i.e. messy office, not paying bills because they can't find them, cluttered garage). The emotional outcomes resulting from their problems are pretty much the same: stress, anxiety, feeling out of control, unhappy, inefficient, feeling bad about themselves, ineffectual and so on.

So the solution may be to set up an electronic and hard copy filing system. The benefits to the customer are not only a usable, efficient filing system but also:

* less stress and anxiety

* feel happy they can find things quickly and easily

* feel confident they won't lose paperwork anymore

* will feel in control of their time and their space

2. Set your personal work schedule. A home business office may seem easy to step in and out of to work at you leisure but it rarely works that way. There are far too many other things in the home that need to be done everyday. These things can suck up your valuable time leaving you with very little time to build your business.

For some setting aside up to 8 hours a day is possible but for most of us we do not have that much time available. There are many things to consider.

You may have toddlers in your home or even a newborn. They will require a lot of your time. Other things such as your significant other, household chores and bills all require your time.

You must set a specific time period each day around all these things that allows When you are first starting a home business you will need to give as much focused time to it as you possibly can. As your business grows and gains momentum you can begin to automate many of your daily tasks.

Then you will be able to do what a home based business is all about, spend more time with your family and less time working.

3. Make your office off limits. There is nothing worse than spending an hour looking for a piece of paper with details on it or your stapler or any other tool you have to have because someone borrowed it.

Children seem to need your supplies and office tools more than you do. It is important they know your office is off limits and it is just as important they understand why.

Your family and friends all need to understand this is your office. It is where you make your money to support your family with and pay your bills. It's not where you store your Golf bags or hobby stuff, it's not the toy room, it is your personal business office.

This will give you a sense of purpose and security. You will know when you sit down at your desk that everything is in its place and ready for you to give your business all of your attention.

A small business home office really isn't difficult to setup and maintain. By applying the ideas above you can set your home office apart so it is the place you can go to and build your business.

Wordpress is free to use content management software that publishes your content in blog form. A blog does not have a static homepage like conventional web sites, instead all new content appears on the homepage and then finds it way in to folders and archives as more new content is published.

There are two big benefits to publishing with Wordpress:

Wordpress is open source software, which means it's free to use. When you choose a hosting account, try and choose one that uses a control panel called "CPanel", because installing Wordpress becomes as easy as clicking a handful of icons, it really is simple!

So you've bought a domain name, found a hosting company with CPanel and installed Wordpress on your new domain! In theory you're ready to make your first post! But before you do, read on!
Before you post, you need to configure your blog and optimise it for the search engines, doing this before you post makes life a lot easier for the future.

As Wordpress is open source, developers around the world have written literally hundreds of plugins that enhance the functionality of your blog, and again the majority are free to install. Take a look at Wordpress.org where you'll find hundreds of free plugins. Ones I recommend are:

- Installer (install this one first, simplifies plugin installations)

- All In One SEO Pack (optimises your posts)

- Adsense Manager (adds Adsense blocks to your posts)

- Google XML Site Maps (creates a site map for your blog)

- Ultimate Tag Warrior (essential plugin for managing tags)

- Sociable (assists with social bookmarking)

Next, within your dashboard, select Options in the menu and then Permalinks. You need to modify the settings on this page to improve the seo of the url's Wordpress produces so that your keywords appear. In the Custom Options box, type and save the following:

/%category%/%postname%/

Typing this will optimise your posts, but you must be careful only to ever select one category per post in the future, and not change a post's category after you've published it!

When you post with Wordpress, it automatically notifies (known as pinging) blog directories of your new content, they index it based on the tags you assign. The search engine robots regularly visit these directories, and as a result your new post will be indexed by them very quickly. Rapid indexing is one of the huge advantages of blogging!

Within your blog set up, you need to add a bunch of directory sites to "ping" to in addition to the default. Simply search on the web for "ping list".

Finally, you need to optimise the appearance of your site. You don't want to use the basic template that comes with Wordpress. There are lots of free themes available on the web for download, take a look at Wordpress.org again in their themes directory. Whilst there are hundreds of free themes around, I never seem to find one that perfectly meets my needs, so I often end up buying one!

The same goes for newsletters. If you can't find this info for the directory you like, sticking between 500 and 1,000 words is usually a safe bet and usually up to 1,250 is OK. If you have more to say, consider splitting it into multiple articles that deal with one specific topic each.

5.) Be brief in your bio section. If your article is well written and contains similar words to the keywords you want to be found for, 350 characters (or about 40 words) should be more than enough to tell a little about yourself, your services with one or two relevant keywords properly placed. Just be sure to use those keywords as anchor text when linking to the page that covers that keyword's topic on your site. Many directories will let you have two links in the bio section and all allow at least one.

6.) And I saved the big one for last. Provide unique content to each article directory. Nobody wants to post duplicate content so carefully reword at least one third of the article so it is unique. This will help both the publisher and the quality of your resulting inbound your links.

Big Tip: Writing dozens or even hundreds of article variations to eliminate duplicate content can take a great deal of time. Then manually submitting them to hundreds of directories takes even longer. A nice solution is using an article distribution service that allows you to enter slight variations to specific sections of your article and then combines them in unique ways to provide unique content for the search engines and readers. I am NOT talking about a system that creates robotic substitutions based on replacing similar words from a thesaurus. That produces junk. I'm talking about a system that allows you to submit your own text with alternate sentences or even whole paragraphs. This works amazingly well and can easily create over one thousand article variations based on about twenty extra minutes of your time when you submit your article. And of course, write as many variations of your bio as you can too.

They do it to help protect their own reputation as well but the benefits to you are immeasurable.

Google SEO Linking Strategy Three: Use a three way linking system.

Google has discounted the use of straight reciprocal links to the point that many people feel they are not worth the time and effort to obtain. I still use them sparingly but I avoid reciprocal linking systems like the plague. Google hates them and they are so easy to detect that you might as well put a banner on your site saying "Hey Google, I use a link farm!"

Three way linking, however, is another story. Reciprocal linking is very easy to detect but 3 way links are altogether different. It works like this... Site 1 links to Site 2 and then Site 2 links to Site 3. And finally Site 3 links to Site 1, or even to another site in the chain. In short; every link is a true and verifiable one way inbound link.

If you are part of a group of similar sites, this is well worth doing. But if you need to build links quickly or don't have the time to set this up yourself, you can use a service like 3 Way Linker (http://www.3WayLinker.com). When I started my business four years ago, I had enthusiasm and passion for my work, but a very small marketing budget. I also lacked a marketing plan for getting my message out to my target customer. I have learned a lot along the way and hope to impart what I've learned onto you. Whether you have just started your small business or are in your tenth year, there are some simple, affordable ways to keep your name in front of prospective clients and customers.

News releases. I recommend to clients that they distribute three to four news releases (better known as press releases) each year. This gives clients an opportunity to shout news out to the world about new products, services or partnerships; key hires; industry awards and certifications; new locations; events and more. News releases should be distributed on a timely basis to local media, trade publications and online. In addition, a well-crafted news release makes a great direct mail piece or a nice addition to your sales or media kit. Depending on whether you do the writing and distribution yourself, costs are variable. Distribution costs will also vary. Distribution via e-mail or fax is virtually nothing. Online distribution varies. Many news distribution sites are free, but I like to include a contribution to PRWeb.com to guarantee inclusion in popular search engines.

Online forums and networking sites. As social media continues to grow, relevant online forums and networking groups (Linked In, Connexions, Konnects) are a great way to interact with professionals and prospective clients. By actively participating in Q&A forums, you expand your reach. To take full advantage of these free opportunities, make sure you complete your online bio; include your contact information and web address; and participate regularly. Such participation can also help to position you as an industry expert.

Referral program. About half of my business comes from client referrals. To let clients know I appreciate their referrals and to encourage them to keep sending them to me, I include my referral program in my business agreement. In exchange for a prospect who does business with me, I offer the referring client two complimentary hours of writing, editing or marketing services. Aside from my time, this costs me nothing and benefits both my clients and my business.

Newsletter. There are so many affordable e-mail services these days that sending an e-newsletter to prospective clients is a no brainer. The service I use costs about $5 per month, and it not only maintains my e-mail lists for me, but it provides templates and tracks reader stats. Clients can opt-in, unsubscribe or change their e-mail address at any time. This is an inexpensive way to stay in touch with clients and prospects.

The next question, of course, is how and when to implement the above. I recommend pulling out your calendar and scheduling time for marketing and business development. Schedule a news release for each quarter, or at least three times a year. For online forums and networking sites, set aside a certain amount of time each week to participate. A referral program requires a little bit of set-up time and a notification to clients of the new program, but aside from that, it doesn't require much time. For your newsletter, I recommend sending them to clients at regular intervals. If you can't manage biweekly or monthly, at least put together a newsletter on a quarterly basis. Save ideas in a folder so they are all in one spot when you're ready to get started.

Try these ideas for at least six months and watch your business grow and, if you find that one method works better than the others, focus your efforts in that category. Enjoy your new affordable marketing solutions!

Introduce urgency by limiting the offer in terms of subscribers or time available.

You can also introduce fear into your headline, for exampl, "Can You Afford Not To" or "Failing To Read This Could Lose You Millions". Fear is an uncomfortable feeling for the human mind, including it in your headlines will compel your readers to opt-in to remove the fear.

Other great words to include in your headlines are "Discover", "Revealed", "Uncovered" and "Secrets". All four words induce curiosity in the mind, and the curiosity can only be cured by subscribing!

4. No Privacy Policy or Contact Details

This is an important point not to get wrong. Your conversion rates will be influenced big time by not having a privacy statement and your contact details displayed on your squeeze page. Always include a privacy statement to reassure your visitor that you won't share their details or spam them, and let them see that you are willing to share your contact details to give them confidence and trust.

5. No Graphic With The Opt-In Box

Don't include an opt-in box without a graphic above it. The graphic will draw the eyes of the visitor to the opt-in box. It also allows them to visualize what you are offering in return for subscription. Images are more powerful than words. Always use professional looking graphics to impress. If you can, get hold of a graphical opt-in box, you can buy packs of squeeze page templates for less than $10!

And finally, just one more important tip ... Test, Test , and Test again! I really suggest that you split test continually, each time changing just one element of the squeeze page and then measure its conversion rate against the unaltered version.
