Ways To Generate Multiple Streams Of Internet Income

Ways To Generate Multiple Streams Of Internet Income
Download Free Copy Of Create Multiple Streams Of Online Income
There are a number of ways to generate streams of internet income and we will discuss a few of them here. Your main product or service that you are offering should be your first stream of internet income. Some internet marketers will offer their own product that they have created themselves.

However, before you can do that you will need to get set up with your own online business in order to be able to effectively market multiple products on one website.

So your first step is to get a website of your own and start your own online business. You cannot expect to make good money online without one.

It just does not make sense not to have your own website and to waste time marketing five or six products separately when you could be marketing them altogether on one site. So, top priority is to get a website and domain of your own.

It certainly is possible to earn online income without a website, rather like it is possible to make money in the street without having a shop of your own. Auction sites would be an example of this. If you are serious about earning multiple streams of internet income then your own online business website would be the main channel through which the online income will flow.

Once you have setup your own online business website then your task is to spend most of your time consistently driving targeted traffic to your website.

When visitors arrive on your site offer them something for free in return for their email address. This enables you to build your list and keep in contact with them. The first email that goes out from your auto-responder, after they have signed up, would contain the link to the free offer you promised them and then return to the theme of the advertisement that first attracted them to your site, which will most likely be your primary service or product.

Offer your visitors valuable freebies and useful information rather than give them a sales pitch. Your goal is to develop a long term relationship with your visitors, so don't give the impression that you are desperate to sell something to them.

Now that your business is set up and running, you can add additional streams of internet income to your online business.

For your second stream of internet income you could choose products from one or two carefully chosen affiliate programs. Spend time finding the right affiliate programs as there are thousands out there. A two-tier affiliate program which is free for you to join, may appeal to you plus you may want to consider a network marketing program, which will require normally a monthly payment, but will offer a higher financial reward.

Once you are getting sufficient traffic to your website you may want to consider adding a third income stream in the form of posting adverts, such as Google Adsense or offering advertising space to other businesses.

As your experience and confidence grows so you could start offering your visitors the same internet tools that you use. Many hosting companies offer an affiliate program, so if yours does then recommend them and earn a residual income. You may have purchased a keyword or seo ebook that you found extremely useful, so sign up as an affiliate and offer them for sale too. You could add these to your website or offer them by email to your list of opt-in subscribers.

You could generate another stream of income by packaging your own personally written unique articles into an ebook and selling them on your site or offer the ebook to your subscribers.

Ultimately, to leverage your reach across the internet, the best idea is to develop an affiliate program of your own to boost sales of your own product and add yet another stream of internet income to your online business.

Build Your Online Business without Spending Money

Build Your Online Business without Spending Money
Download Free Copy Of Derek Gehl's Six Steps You Need To Follow To Guarantee The Success Of Your Online Business!
In internet marketing there are the "haves" and the "I don't really have the money right now" ends of the spectrum. Some affiliate marketers begin their business with a good asset base backing their efforts up. They have a storehouse of cash to spend on premium advertising. When it comes to a website all primed for e-commerce and optimized they have that as well. All the power to them, they have a head start on building their business, and that's a good thing.

However, many people begin affiliate marketing with nothing but an idea. They see the opportunity affiliate marketing affords them and select products to promote. They soon find they need platforms for promotion. In addition, they learn quickly that placing a link or banner on a blog alone is not going to make money pour in. A neophyte affiliate marketer then learns there are other ways to drive traffic to their site quicker. The thing is, many of these ways cost money; money they certainly do not have.

The situation many new Internet entrepreneurs face is how to build their business initially without spending. Many realize that at some point they will have to incur expenses to drive their business to new heights. Not being able to do so right away doesn't mean they cannot grow their business from day one. A new affiliate marketer does have options for building their business that don't cost a penny. It will probably take them longer to see healthy income streams, but they can take immediate action.

Patience is a virtue when you have no budget to promote your affiliate products. You can slowly begin to build your business with a time, not monetary investment. The following are a few ways to build your online business without spending money:

Write Articles

Do you want to get widespread distribution of your website or blog links? Article writing and then article marketing of that writing is a great tool. Writing quality articles on topics related to your affiliate products is a way to build credibility as an Internet marketer. Useful information presented to your niche market intelligently can earn you consistent click backs to your website.

You write articles and have them sent to publishers via a good article distribution service. At the end of each article posted is an "Authors Resource" box.

Here's where you have a line or two about who you are, and a link to where your website or blog resides. Of course, the link takes them to where you can begin to sell them on your affiliate products. If your article was helpful to the reader there's a good chance they will link back to learn more about what you have to offer.

Post in Social Forums

Again, you are investing time, but no dollars. Check out the myriad of forums on a host of topics on the Web today. There is no shortage of forums and they cover most niches. Choose a handful of forums that interest you and post to them regularly. This is a form of networking.

Businesses do this all the time in a face-to-face sense. They are always holding trade shows, social events, conventions, and get-togethers where people of similar interest meet to discuss issues. That's what you do in an online forum. You build relationships online and as is appropriate mention your business and what products or services you offer. It's all done in a casual, conversational, non sales-hype way.

Advertise on Free Classified Sites

Do you not have the budget to pay for premium online listings? No need to get down, there are several free classified sites where you can post your advertisements. Again, they may not drive traffic to you as fast as paid premium listings.

They will get your message and links out, though, which is better than not advertising at all. If you consistently post ads on different free classified sites you will garner some traffic. Just make sure you post on the more popular ones that have an audience. Moreover, make sure you post to the appropriate categories that are suited to your affiliate product.

The above are a few things you can do today to build your online business without spending money. You will be spending your time, especially when it comes to article writing and forum posting. In the end, the time investment will pay dividends.

You will begin to see traffic come your way. You will start to earn commissions from sales. Then you can use that money to promote your business further and take it to the new levels of growth.

Ways Networking Will Benefit Your Online Home Business

Ways Networking Will Benefit Your Online Home Business
Download Free Copy Of Start Your Own Online Business
Due to the fact that the internet makes it easy to build an online home business we sometimes forget about the little things that really matter, like communicating or networking on a personal level with those who visit our websites.

Let's have a look at a few of the opportunities that you have to interact on a personal level with your website visitors and customers.

As Blogs are so popular you will find most people do have one but they fail to utilize them fully. For example are you inviting your readers to leave comments?

This is a popular internet marketing method so it is common practice to visit and leave comments on blogs. Have you ever taken the time to email those who post comments and thank them for their post or offer assistance to a query about your home business online?

This very often opens the doors for further communication as many people are often really surprised and touched to receive a personal email as they are so used to impersonal auto-responder messages.

Usually whenever anyone joins your online home business or purchases a product from you, you will be notified of their email address. By sending a thank you or welcome email gives you the opportunity to open up the communication channels and the exchange of ideas could be extremely valuable.

Come out from your website and stop hiding behind your auto-responder and put the "You" back into doing business online. It will have a huge impact on your home business.

By opening up these channels of communication you will be surprised at the value and benefits that you can provide each other. Just a simple email from a post on your blog could create a lucrative business relationship.

How frustrated do you get when you send an email and never receive a response? Replying to emails you receive, no matter how insignificant they may seem, is just common courtesy and certainly something that should never be overlooked.

If you invite people to email you from your website, an advert or an auto-responder email then at least take a few minutes to write a decent reply to them. Don't put you reputation at risk by writing short and abrupt emails. Where this simple task could lead you, you will never know.

A FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on your website will really help visitors, however, they may email you for more online home business information and this is where you need to offer honest advice and respond to the best of your ability.

Networking could certainly benefit your online home business in the future if you implement these ideas on how to communicate and network with your website visitors.

Start An Internet Business Selling Your Services Online: 3 Tips

Start An Internet Business Selling Your Services Online: 3 Tips
Download Free Copy Of Start Your Own Online Business
When it comes to selling your services online, there are many things you can do to help insure success. Keep in mind, your actual game plan will be dependent on the type of service you are marketing. Selling software programming services is different than selling graphic design services.

The following tips will help you start an Internet business selling your services online. The more time you can devote to actually promoting your services, the better your chances of acquiring new clients.

Tip number one. Create a squidoo page or hub page to demonstrate the quality of your skills. Both are free and both have the ability to host graphic images if you're a designer rather than writer. If your skills are video use youtube to show off your skills. Programmers who offer scripts and such most likely will have to have their own website to demonstrate their products.

If you're a writer, for example, create a series of squidoo or hubpages that show off the different kinds of writing you can do, then link them all together.

Tip number two. Don't be afraid to make your online presence known. Visit blogs that are relevant to the service you are offering. Leave interesting comments on each, along with a link to your site. Potential clients can then contact you, for further information. the key here is leave comments that have relevant content not just spam promoting your services.
Not only are you providing information, by making these comments, you are also creating back links for your own blog. These back links are instrumental in helping achieve you higher search engine ranking.

Twitter seems to be an upcoming way to market services. The downside is that your twitter messages are limited to only 140 characters.

Tip number three. Offer some type of discount. Potential clients will appreciate this gesture and be more willing to utilize your services. It can be a onetime 'deep discount' or a smaller discount over a specified period of time. Offering a new customer discount works as well, just don't be surprised if your current clients want to take you up on the discount too.

Along the same lines, you can also offer a discount for referrals. This will help to build your client base, simply by taking advantage of word-of-mouth advertising which continues to be one of the most successful types of marketing today.

Word-of-mouth advertising has been around for decades. As the old saying goes, 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'! Only these days when it happens on the Internet it's called viral marketing.

Auto-responders For A Legitimate Online Business

Auto-responders For A Legitimate Online Business
Download Free Copy Of Start Your Own Online Business
If you have just started a legitimate online business, you will need to think about using an auto-responder email service to build a relationship with visitors to your website. You will want to keep in touch with visitors who request more information so that you can inform them about your products and services to improve ways to make extra money.

The best way to do that is by sending out an auto-responder email newsletter to your mailing list. Surf a few successful business websites and you will notice that in almost every case they include some kind of form which you can fill in to receive some kind of benefit.

It may be more information in the form of a free newsletter, report or ebook, or perhaps some kind of software download. When you fill in the form you will be required to give your email address so the information can be sent to you. When you supply your details they are added to the mailing list and you will start receiving regular messages in your inbox.

Does your website have a lead capture form on it which visitors can fill in and subscribe to your newsletter? You can easily set one up by subscribing to a service such as Aweber.com or GetResponse.com.

Auto-responders are e-mail marketing tools which can be used to sign up subscribers and send them your messages at preset time intervals, track your subscribers and sales which will eventually improve your ways to make extra money.

It will also provide you with a block HTML code that you can simply cut and paste onto your legitimate online business website to create a lead capture form.

Place the form in a prominent place on your website where people will see it as soon as they arrive. Offer them a big free incentive to sign up. When people fill in the form their details are automatically added to the auto-responder.

Next, the subscriber is sent an email thanking them for signing up and inviting them to "opt-in" to the mailing list in order to receive your messages. This "double opt-in" procedure ensures that you build a permission-based mailing list and protects you against accusations of spamming.

The subscriber clicks a link in the email message to opt in to the service for your legitimate online business. When that step has been taken the subscriber will begin to receive your messages and set it to mail them out at pre-determined intervals.

That way, each new subscriber receives a similar series of messages from you at similar intervals for as long as the subscription remains active or the last newsletter has been mailed. You can continue to expand your newsletter series by loading new articles or messages onto the end of your mailing series.

Auto-responders are powerful tools for Internet marketers. You do not have to limit yourself to just one newsletter. You can build a separate mailing list within your auto-responder for each product you sell and follow up with email messages that focus on that product or market niche to enhance various ways to make extra money.

You can also use your auto-responder to broadcast an email to all your subscriber lists in one shot, which is great for sending out time-limited special offers, or timely advice.

As you can see, by subscribing to an auto-responder email service and writing a newsletter you will have put in place a powerful resource to turn targeted traffic into subscribers and subscribers into customers to build your legitimate online business.

Like many other people, Francina Smit realizes that the Internet is an unbelievable opportunity for starting a legitimate online Business. Visit her website http://www.InHouseDollars.com for ideas and opportunities of proven systems that may be your gateway to financial freedom like it has been for thousands of people worldwide searching for ways to make extra money.

The Essential Marketing Element of a Successful Online Business

The Essential Marketing Element of a Successful Online Business
Download Free Copy Of Derek Gehl's Six Steps You Need To Follow To Guarantee The Success Of Your Online Business!
The most essential marketing component that every business should focus on is their customer value proposition. Just what is a customer value proposition? It is actually consisted of the total benefits which a merchant or his business offers to his clients or customers. It is usually a combination of the benefits that is inherent in the products or services and the additional or unique service or attribute offered by the merchant or company.

Being able to deliver these elements in one compact statement is what makes a value proposition effective in motivating people to buy. Web users visit your site either because they are interested in your product and have the intention of buying or they are actually looking for a product or company which they can rely on. And thus, you need to give them the exact motivation to buy from you.

In creating a value proposition for your business, you should not look at your product or market your product from the inside outwards. Meaning, try not to create a proposition based on your perspective as a merchant but create a proposition based on the needs, wants, and concerns of your prospect buyers. This way, you would know exactly how appeal to their purchasing mood.

Preferably, your proposition must fit in only a few words or sentences and must convey the unique qualities of your company and the products or services it offers. The other pages of the website will then support your value proposition and the various key elements present in your homepage.

Thus, in every online business it is important to first identify the value proposition, one that is effective enough to draw in customers. Next, the value proposition must be delivered clearly within the homepage and possibly in every web page and landing page.

In order to determine the effectiveness of the propositions, each must be used and analyzed. This may probably sound time consuming and not to mention laborious, but if you really want your online business to prosper, then hard work is absolutely required.

With the changing or developing marketing trends, you always have to stay ahead of the game and keep in tip top shape. And despite the many tools that may arise, one thing still remains important- what your company, products, or services uniquely provides, which makes your offer more interesting and worth the time and money spent. It's what makes people want to buy from your company.

You have to use motivating factors that are inherent in your products or services. If there is none yet, then create one. Surely there is something your company can offer to consumers. Offer incentives or use promotional tactics unique to your company. Of course, employ the ones that are actually beneficial or perhaps something that will keep customers hooked to your site and purchase.

Tips On How To Use Video Branding To Help You Succeed online

Tips On How To Use Video Branding To Help You Succeed online
Download Free Copy Of Derek Gehl's Six Steps You Need To Follow To Guarantee The Success Of Your Online Business!
There are many ways and means at your disposal to help you succeed online. Today I am going to talk about video marketing. Video marketing is a very powerful tool in your quest to succeed in any online based home business.

There are a few reasons why this is; number one is that people just love to watch video. Studies have shown that websites with video on them have more sticking power, in other words people stop on them longer. The use of video as a marketing tool is quite a new concept but just because it is new does not mean that it is not a proven technique.

Number two reason is video is viral in nature, by this I mean when you download your videos to a video downloading service it is built into the system that people can share your videos with anyone. This means just like a virus it can spread hence the term viral marketing. There are several video downloading services available and if used right will get your videos on the organic searches on Google. This is a huge advantage because people will put a search in for a given term and as long as you have put the right research into your keywords, then your video will appear on the organic searches. This very powerful indeed and it will get you so many free leads to your internet business.

Number three reason why using video to market your business is very powerful is that it is free. This is personally my favourite reason. All you have to do to start making videos is buy a cheap camcorder or webcam and just put yourself in front of it and be yourself. People will be drawn to you because of who you are and what you have to say. The people that are not drawn to you are people that are not right for your business.

This means that when the phone rings with potential customers they alreadyhave a good idea what you are all about which makes it easier to get them to join your company or buy your products. Only a few years ago it would have cost you a fortune to advertise yourself in this way but thanks to video websites and similar entities it is free to get your message across. So just go out and do it and watch your business grow.

How Building Trust Builds Your Online Business

How Building Trust Builds Your Online Business
Download Free Copy Of Small Business Success Secrets
In business, whether bricks and mortar or online, there are always the fly-by-nighters. You know the type, out for a quick buck by any means. To these kinds of operators, the customer is the last thing on their mind. Their modus operandi is to get a sale at any cost. What happens is the consumer bears the brunt of the cost without any quality return on investment.

That is why consumers today are wary of doing business online with unknown-to-them enterprises. That's why it is so important to build trust before you can really build your affiliate business. When you take the time to build a trusting relationship with people you sow the seeds for long-term business activity.

How do you let your niche market know they can trust you? You do it by promising certain things than delivering on them. You never want to appear as the aforementioned fly-by-nighters enterprises. They are those who promise one thing and deliver another, or deliver nothing at all.

Here are a few ways you can build that trusting relationship with consumers:

Tell It like It Is

This is the no-bull, straight shooter approach, albeit it in a respectful dignified way. Don't engage in article writing or sales pitches that bend the truth or represent things as more than they really are. Speak about your affiliate products and services truthfully and honestly.
If you write a product comparison article tell it like it is. Trumpet the best features of your and your competitors affiliate products. Talk about the disadvantages of each one as well. When your article readers see you clearly and honestly speak of products in your niche they will trust you.

They will see you as a knowledgeable affiliate marketer looking out for their best interests. They will see you as someone who can aid them in making informed purchase decisions. In short, they trust you as an information provider. Whose Website do you think they will check out when it comes time to purchase? The odds are very good they will check yours out.

Perform It Like You Promised

This is simply doing what you said you would do when you said you would do it. Did you promise a visitor to your affiliate site a free product sample? Did you tell them when they could expect it? If so, then make sure you have enough samples on hand. In addition, ensure that you have delivery mechanisms in place so they receive samples on time.

Maybe you promised regular customers an informative e-book title four times a year. Did you deliver four at regularly scheduled intervals? Were they truly informative books or marketing fluff designed to "sell" them not "help" them? You build trust with customers when you deliver the value you promised when you promised it.

Show Them The Person Behind The Product

You build trust quickly with potential customers when you let them see the person behind the business "persona." As an affiliate marketer have an "About Us" page. Have your e-mail address and telephone number or address displayed as well. Don't have your customers thinking, "Who was that masked man or woman." In other words, don't hide yourself from your purchasing public. People want to know whom they're dealing with most of the time.

Even the big online marketers let people know who and where they are. They make it easy for their customers to contact them for help. They do not hide, and hope that they can sell online without revealing their identity.

Quality, Quality, Quality

Another key to building trust and long-term relationships is by providing quality always. The affiliate product you are passionate about must deliver as promised all the time. Customers don't like surprises. They want that software program you're trumpeting to perform as you promised. They want it to have all the functions you spoke about in your product comparison article. They want it free from bugs that hinder performance.

Consider quality customer service. Do you offer exemplary customer service consistently? Is it a notch above what your competitors offer? Do you strive to continually analyze and upgrade the service you offer affiliate customers? When you do, people will choose you the next time they buy. They trust you will stand behind what you sell to ensure their satisfaction.

Building trust with your clientele is basic business acumen. When people see you as a trustworthy affiliate, they will be open to your marketing message. Why wouldn't they be, you're going to give them what you promised, and what they need.

If you are reasonably aware of what other sites in your niche are doing, you will see that there has been a real explosion of video on the sites over the last few years. Some site prefer to keep it quite simple and use the video as supplemental material, while others prefer to make it the main selling point of the site and choose to use video to get the point across to the audience. The truth of the matter is that putting video on a website is getting easier and easier, if only you can find the right program, so take some time and check out the main three reasons why you should do this.

1. Make a connection. If you know anything about marketing online, you know that you need to make a connection with the person who might be inspecting your site and you have to do it fast. 2. Fast information transfer. When you are looking at making sure that you are getting point across to your audience in a clear and succinct way, you will find that video is a great way to make sure you are giving them everything that they want. There is some evidence that the attention spans that we are dealing with now are even shorter than they were a few years ago, especially when it comes to looking at something new and that is unfamiliar to them. Take some time and make sure that you are getting the information that you want them to know across to them in the most practical way possible.

3. Its easy! The truth of the matter is that putting video on a website is no where near as difficult as you might be afraid of. At the end of the day, it is a very minor investment in money and effort for something that can do your site a whole world of good. There are software programs out there that can have video on your website, in the precise way that you want it. You can have programs that will put video on your website with the click of a button, and you will also find that you can put it into a player format that is pleasing to you and that will give your audience a lot of choices in how to view it.

Take some time to think about putting video on a website. There are at least three good major reasons to do it, and plenty of great small ones as well. Think about the advantages that come with it, and find a program that will help you accomplish this today!

Start Your Own Internet Business In Just Seven Steps

Start Your Own Internet Business In Just Seven Steps
Download Free Copy Of Start Your Own Online Business
The decision to start your own Internet business requires motivation, an open mind, and a desire to better yourself. So if you've already arrived at the decision to move forward with the idea, congratulations!

This brief article will give you an overview of how to start your own Internet business. It is then recommended that you check out the resource box for more specific information pertaining to your exact business blueprint.

- Start Your Own Internet Business: Step 1 -

The first thing you'll need to do is define your core objectives. Do you want to generate x amount of extra cash flow per month, offset your vehicle payments, or quit your day job?

Decide exactly why you want to start your own Internet business in the first place and write this down. You may even want to display your core objective in a prominent place in your home office so you can refer back to it if the going gets tough.

- Start Your Own Internet Business: Step 2 -

The second step is to determine realistically how much time and money you can allot to launching and maintaining your business. Can you devote two hours per day, 40 hours each week, or weekends only? And are you prepared to invest $50 per month, $200 one-time, or $500 now and $100 per month thereafter? Whatever you can/will afford in terms of time and money should be noted in the beginning.

The figures above are totally hypothetical. There are no clear right and wrong time and money requirements, although the more you are willing and able to invest the more likely you will be to succeed.

- Start Your Own Internet Business: Step 3 -

Your third step is to decide whether you'll get help or go it alone. Is there another person you'd like to partner with? Are you willing to invest in a home study course or hire a mentor? Or are you willing to research your own study material and run the whole show yourself? This is totally your decision to make, and should be based on your personal preference and objectives.

- Start Your Own Internet Business: Step 4 -

Your fourth step is to decide what kind of business you'll launch. This might take some time to figure out.

You can start by making a list of your skills and interests. Then come up with a few possible business ideas for each listed item.

At this time all you need is a general idea or two. You'll prove or disprove the worth of each idea in the next step.

- Start Your Own Internet Business: Step 5 -

Your fifth step is to research the validity of your idea(s). You'll want to find out if there is a real market for your new business idea, i.e. whether or not there are people willing and able to spend money for products and services related to your idea.

You can use a keyword research tool to find out if people are online seeking products and services like yours. These utilities are not perfect, but they give you a great starting point.

And of course you can have a look at what existing businesses are doing, relative to your ideas. If you can spot a few good-looking sites already selling products and services along the lines of what you'd like to do, this means a paying market already exists; congratulations.

- Start Your Own Internet Business: Step 6 -

Your sixth step is to decide how much of the work you'll tackle yourself, and what you will outsource to professionals. Will you build your own Website, or hire a pro to do this for you? Will you write your own ads and sales letters or commission a copywriter for these tasks. Will you handle customer support or get a help team to take care of this for you? You may want to do everything yourself at first, but you should look into getting some help as soon as possible.

- Start Your Own Internet Business: Step 7 -

Your seventh and final step is to roll up your sleeves and get to work! This is where most people fail. Planning and talking about your venture is one thing, but whether or not you're ready for real action will determine your ultimate success or failure.

Just remember being an entrepreneur is about always learning and growing. So get out there and start moving the ball forward, but know you can always ask for help or invest in new education along the way.

Website Not Performing As It Should? Ask These 7 Questions To Find Out Why

Website Not Performing As It Should? Ask These 7 Questions To Find Out Why
Download Free Copy Of 30 Day Blueprint For Success
In preparing to design and write my new website, I visited hundreds of other sites to get a feel for what I did/did not want.

For example, "squeeze pages" are all the rage these days. You know, those pages which require you to enter your name and email just to get a peek at the actual website (or you can check the always-too-tiny "enter site" button to skip the squeeze page).

I've decided, at least for now, not to have a squeeze page, but fully understand why you would want one (it strongly encourages, we won't say "forces", people to get on your mailing list in order to see your website).

Regardless of whether or not you choose to incorporate a squeeze page on your site, here's a list of the top 7 questions you need to ask your website in order to determine if it's performing as well as it could.

1. What problem(s) do you solve and what result (s) can I expect?

Your website must focus on the results, not the benefits that you offer -- your prospects want to know how you can help them solve their problems. Include results-based testimonials sprinkled throughout your site if possible.

2. Do you offer an email newsletter or "tip-zine"?

If you offer an email newsletter, be sure to have your sign-up box with privacy policy on every page and on the "top" screen (in the event your readers need to scroll down to read your full page).

3. Is your site "clean"?

By "clean", I mean is the text easy to read without TOO much formatting? Do all your links work? Are your navigation buttons easy to find and understandable? Is your site free of typos?

4. Is your contact information easy to find?

I recommend putting your contact information on the bottom of every page -- you want it to be easy for your readers to find you if they have a question. Do this even if you have a "Contact Us" page.

5. Is your domain name intuitive?

When it comes to domain names (your URL, what people type when going to your site), it's more important to be intuitive than to be cute. You could have the cutest name in the world and it means nothing if people don't "get it" and visit your site. Keep it simple.

6. WIIFM

In addition to your email newsletter or tip-zine, what do you offer your readers? What's In It For Me (WIIFM) as a reader of your site? Do you share a no cost special report, audio tips, e-course? Give your readers the chance to get to know you through your giveaway item.

Note: You should still get your email newsletter up and running even if you don't currently have a giveaway item -- you can add that afterwards.

7. Do you have a picture?

If you are a solopreneur (single, small business owner) and you want to generate leads or sell products through the internet, it helps to have your picture either on your site or in your email newsletter/tip-zine.

When working "virtually", your readers will come to know and trust you through the words that you write. It helps for them to have a picture to connect to -- as people, we like to do business with people, not with faceless companies.

These are just a few strategies to insure that you have a client attractive website which enhances your online presence.

An Assignment For You. . .

Your assignment for this week is to take a hard look at your website and see if it measures up. Forget all the work you've put into it, forget that your best friend helped you put it together and look at it as a prospective client who wants to know more about your business would.

For the past 5 years, Sandra Martini has been showing self-employed business owners how to get more clients consistently by implementing processes and systems to put their marketing on autopilot. Are Your Online Marketing Methods Boring? Try Twitter!

Are Your Online Marketing Methods Boring? Try Twitter!
Download Free Copy Of How To BookMark For Free Traffic!
The most Internet marketing fun you will ever have!

I have to admit there are many parts of Internet marketing which are downright boring for me. Rewriting articles into original content, submitting links to directories, the record keeping involved...these are all important, but they are not my most enjoyable tasks.

Therefore, I am very excited when something comes along which not only works well, but I can have fun with too! Twitter is my cool new Internet marketing tool I have been using lately. I can honestly say it is probably the most fun I have had with any marketing method!

I had my account for a while before I took Twitter serious. Sure it was fun. But was it really worth my time? When I kept seeing many of the top Internet marketing gurus using Twitter, I decided to take a closer look. After all, those top marketers probably weren't spending their time with Twitter unless it was producing results for them.

I decided to give Twitter a closer look. I dug into it to find out exactly how marketers like John Reese and Willie Crawford were using it. It amazed me how much time they were devoting to this new marketing method! My methods were hit and miss at first, but thanks to a few Twitter mentors I was able to craft a system which is working very well for building a large following. At the time of this writing, I am consistently adding more than 50 new followers a day!

Imagine! 50 new leads a day which cost me virtually NOTHING but a small amount of "fun time" on Twitter. Also, the best part about my methods is that the new followers I get are targeted. It really does no good for me to get leads who are not interested in Internet marketing. For example, those tweeting about "gardening" or "coin collecting" really won't do many any good as followers.

Although there are large amounts of Twitter users in the area of Internet marketing, Twitter is also used by followers in many other niches. Once you learn the process of "Twittering" and how to attract targeted followers for your niche, the sky really is the limit! Best of all, unlike many other marketing methods, Twittering is an absolute blast of fun!

Here are a few hints for Twittering success:

- Always have a descriptive bio of yourself and include a great landing page. You are allowed one active link in your bio. You can include other URL's in your description, but they will not be active.

- Make sure you take advantage of the reply and direct message features. These two features are the real "meat and potatoes" of Twitter. Using them will result in strong (and profitable) relationships with other users.

- Use a link shortening tool like TinyURL to shorten links to deal with the 140 character limit for each tweet.

- There are some cool third part tools which I use to ramp up Twitter's marketing potential. Be sure to see my Twitter bio for more information about this.

Give Twitter a try for a few weeks and watch the results!

Graphic Sources for Online Marketers

Graphic Sources for Online Marketers
Copyright © 2008 Paul Smithson
Download Free Copy Of 14 Point Web Copy Analysis
Finding good stock photos and graphics for use in your marketing can be a real chore and expensive if you don't know where to look. There are hundreds of stock photo agencies, and each one has a different selection, pricing model and rules about the use of their photos.

You need to be very careful when reading the license for any photos you intend to purchase. Some photos may have very strict usage requirements that might prohibit the use you have in mind.

There are actually very few stock photo agencies that are friendly for Internet marketers. Of the major photo agencies, there are really only about three that are practical for use by Internet marketers.

The others are all either too restrictive, don't have enough of a selection, or are far too expensive. Corbis, for example, is far too expensive for the average Internet marketer. Corbis sometimes charges several hundred dollars just for ONE image that can be used only once! This might be fine if you're putting together a print brochure that has a long print-run, but it's just not practical when an image is for general purpose use on a web site.

Here are a few options that might be more appropriate.

IStockPhoto is a very well-known stock photo agency. They have thousands of photographers that contribute to their catalog of images, and their prices are very reasonable.

The quality of the images can vary, but there are plenty of very good quality photos available. Their license can be fairly restrictive, but it will allow most of the uses that Internet marketers would typically have.

BigStockPhoto is another popular agency. Not only do they have a large catalog of photos at very competitive prices, but they also have the most liberal license of any major stock photo agency. They are the only major photo supplier that will allow their images to be used in templates made for distribution. Other agencies don't allow their photos to be used in templates, but BigStockPhotos's liberal license that allows template use, has allowed them to capture a fairly large market share.

Another very useful stock photo resource is PhotoObjects. This site actually provides images that are already removed from their backgrounds for use in designs. This is a big time saver for designers. Cutting images out of their background is very time-consuming, and having it already done is an unbelievable help. PhotoObjects offers memberships at fairly reasonable prices. They claim to be unlimited, but they actually do limit the number of pictures you can download each day. The number is large, so you would probably never go over the limit, but it's worth noting.

If you want more than just photos then clipart.com might be worth looking at. Don't let the name put you off as clipart.com has a lot more than just clipart. You'll find literally hundreds of thousands of photos, illustrations, icons, backgrounds, and plenty more besides. Subscriptions are available lasting from as little as a week up to a whole year. If you need a lot of images a subscription can prove excellent value for money, but if you are just after a handful of images then some of the other options mentioned here might be a better alternative.

If you'd prefer to have your images locally, rather than having to access the Internet every time you need something, then you might want to consider purchasing a CD of images. Hemera has a line of CDs that can be purchased at places like Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples, and other similar stores. They have thousands of photos on them, and they can work out extremely inexpensive if your image needs are extensive. However, the quality of the images is generally quite mediocre and many of the photos look about a decade out of date. Still, if you need a very large number of lower resolution pictures of things like flowers and dogs, it can be a good deal.

Whether it's an amazing one off photograph you want for your web site or a huge collection of images for multiple sites, you are sure to find something that will suit your needs at the sites mentioned above, but remember to read the terms and conditions carefully to make sure that it is okay to use the images for the purpose you require

10 Costly Search Engine Mistakes to Avoid

10 Costly Search Engine Mistakes to Avoid
Get Free Copy of Derek Gehl's Six Steps You Need To Follow To Guarantee The Success Of Your Online Business!
If you have a website then you already know the importance of traffic. Traffic is to Internet marketing as location is to real estate. It's the only thing that really matters. If you cannot generate targeted visitors to your site, you will not make any sales.

Usually the owner or designer of the website is the person designated to drive traffic to the site. The chief ingredient in generating traffic is the search engine. Of coarse, you can use advertising, but it's going to cost you. Using the search engines to generate targeted (interested in your product) traffic is the least expensive method known.

Unfortunately, many website owners do not understand the importance of search engine visibility, which leads to traffic. They place more importance on producing a "pretty" website. Not that this is bad, but it is really secondary to search engine placement. Hopefully, the following list of common mistakes, made by many website owners, will help you generate more targeted traffic to your site...after all, isn't that what you want.

1. Not using keywords effectively.

This is probably one of the most critical area of site design. Choose the right keywords and potential customers will find your site. Use the wrong ones and your site will see little, if any, traffic.

2. Repeating the same keywords.

When you use the same keywords over and over again (called keyword stacking) the search engines may downgrade (or skip) the page or site.

3. Robbing pages from other websites.

How many times have you heard or read that "this is the Internet and it's ok" to steal icons and text from websites to use on your site. Don't do it. Its one thing to learn from others who have been there and another to outright copy their work. The search engines are very smart and usually detect page duplication. They may even prevent you from ever being listed by them.

4. Using keywords that are not related to your website.

Many unethical website owners try to gain search engine visibility by using keywords that have nothing at all to do with their website. They place unrelated keywords in a page (such as "sex", the name of a known celebrity, the hot search topic of the day, etc.) inside a meta tag for a page. The keyword doesn't have anything to do with the page topic. However, since the keyword is popular, they think this will boost their visibility. This technique is considered spam by the search engines and may cause the page (or sometimes the whole site) to be removed from the search engine listing.

5. Keyword stuffing.

Somewhat like keyword stacking listed above, this means to assign multiple keywords to the description of a graphic or layer that appears on your website by using the "alt=" HTML parameter. If the search engines find that this text does not really describe the graphic or layer it will be considered spam.

6. Relying on hidden text.

You might be inclined to think that if you cannot see it, it doesn't hurt. Wrong.... Do not try to hide your keywords or keyword phrases by making them invisible. For example, some unethical designers my set the keywords to the same color as the background of the web page; thereby, making it invisible.

7. Relying on tiny text.

This is another version of the item above (relying on hidden text). Do not try to hide your keywords or keyword phrases by making them tiny. Setting the text size of the keywords so small that it can barely be seen does this.

8. Assuming all search engines are the same.

Many people assume that each search engine plays by the same rules. This is not so. Each has their own rule base and is subject to change anytime they so desire. Make it a point to learn what each major search engine requires for high visibility.

9. Using free web hosting.

Do not use free web hosting if you are really serious about increasing site traffic via search engine visibility. Many times the search engines will eliminate content from these free hosts.

10. Forgetting to check for missing web page elements.

Make sure to check every page in your website for completeness, like missing links, graphics, etc. There are sites on the web that will do this for free.

This is just a few of the methods and techniques that you should avoid. Do not give in to the temptation that these methods will work for you. They will do more harm than good for your website.

Not only will you spend weeks of wasted effort, you may have your site banned from the search engines forever. Invest a little time to learn the proper techniques for increasing search engine visibility and your net traffic will increase.

5 Surefire Ways to Increase Sales

5 Surefire Ways to Increase Sales
Download Free Copy Of An Obvious Truth By Armand Morin
The Internet has changed how people do their business. Even small business owners are able to reach global market inexpensively nowadays, selling anything from apparel, collectibles, to computer software, service and coaching.
The core of every business is sales. Many of the strategies to increase sales offline are applicable online, but not all of them. On the Internet, everybody can effort to fail fast and learn from it. Better still, after years of testing and tracking what works online, people can just learn from other people's experience and cut the learning curve tremendously.

Here are 5 of the surefire ways to increase sales:

1. Establish a sound affiliate program

If it is just another affiliate program, then don't expect to have different results. Focus on building a sound affiliate program, with the tools and materials to support affiliates to promote a program easily. After all, affiliates work like clockwork and should be seen as a team. Provide them with the right promotion tools and they will more likely promote the program.

Give the customers an option to join the affiliate program after purchase. Satisfied customers are one of the best marketing for any business. Spread the good words through word of mouth. Best of all, they are paid just for doing that.

2. Follow-up after first purchase

The hardest task in any business is acquiring the first sale. Make sure that capturing customers' name and email addresses are the least information gathered from a sale. With that information in hand, follow-up with existing customers, probably through an automated mechanism like timely autoresponder.

This effort has been proven to decrease refund on products and increase customers' satisfaction. Every once in a while, mention a related product that might be of interest to the customers. Write a review and provide real results. Such promotion is extremely inexpensive, but very effective in practice. The product can be anything, including an affiliate program.

3. Use up-sell technique

Just before a customer check out to the payment gateway, prompt for optional upgrade to the better, bigger, or nicer product for a fairly steep discount, preferably not available elsewhere.

A certain number of customers will choose the option, which translates into additional sales, almost without additional effort.

4. Provide discount coupons

Coupons urge customers to come back and shop. Promotional coupons work for both advertising and some forms of joint venture. Customers love to know that they get lower price for what they buy. Coupons make it so real and tangible.

5. Cross-promote with other related products

There is no limit as to how this could be accomplished. Joint venture with other business or even competitors is feasible as long as it brings a win-win situation.

One example would be to give away sample of other product or service as part of the whole package. As long as the sample is relevant to the customer, this promotion could only be seen as an added value instead of pure advertising.

There are many other tactics to increase sales but above tips have been proven to work again and again. Choose one at a time and take action. Good luck.

4 Things To Look At Prior To Joining An Online Business Program

4 Things To Look At Prior To Joining An Online Business Program
Download Free Copy Of Start Your Own Online Business
Prior to joining an online business program, there are a few things you are going to want to look into. With so many programs on the internet, it can be difficult deciphering one from the next. With these four tips, you will be able to join a safe and reliable program to get started online with.

1. Startup fee

Typically the reason you find a job is to make money, not spend it. Unfortunately, a number of online businesses do have a startup fee of some sort. While some are fairly cheap, there are others that are hundreds of dollars. For this very reason, you want to take the time to look into all of the startup costs you will be responsible. This can be a determinant of whether you can even afford to join that particular program.

2. Training and software

One of the top reasons so many people fail with their online business venture is because of a lack of training. It can be difficult getting into a brand new business and not understanding how to succeed. This is the responsibility of the leader to provide you with the proper training and guidance.

In addition to supplying you with training materials, it is also essential you find a leader who will provide you with software and marketing tools. It can be difficult generating traffic to your web site if you do not have the proper tools. With some banners and text links, you can be on your way to generating traffic from your online target market.

3. Research

To learn more about a particular online business program, you want to take the time to look at additional research. Posting in forums and asking people who have been involved with the program can give you just the information you need. Do not be afraid to ask the leader of the program questions and details either. The more information you know, the easier it will be to decide whether it is worth joining or not.

4. What if you do not like the program?

The last thing you want to look into is what kind of commitment is required. The great thing about most online business programs is that there is no commitment whatsoever. Aside from the startup cost, you have no obligation to stick with the program. However, sometimes the startup cost and the time you spend waiting to succeed is enough to ruin the program.

There are some tremendous online business opportunities to look into on the internet. To avoid wasting your time on a program you have no interest in or have no potential, take the time to look into the four facets listed in this article.

How To Boost Your Credibility With Your Articles To Get a Greater Response

How To Boost Your Credibility With Your Articles To Get a Greater Response
Download Free Copy Of An Obvious Truth By Armand Morin
It is important when you are writing articles to get a response from them, because after all, isn't the whole point of going through all of that effort to get someone to take an action after reading your article? There are things that you can do that will increase the response rate to your article so you can get targeted traffic to your web site. One of the ways to get very targeted and responsive traffic to your website is by building credibility into the articles you write.

The reason why you want to establish credibility with your readers is because they will be more likely to listen to you and follow your advice. It is something that definitely adds to the effectiveness of your article marketing if you use it as an element to your powerful marketing machine. Fortunately, it is not as difficult as you might think to establish this valuable credibility with your readers.

The first thing that increases your credibility is writing a quality article that either solves a problem, or shares a new way of looking at an issue. When you are writing an article that solves a problem, the more difficult the problem is you are solving, the more you boost your credibility. For articles of the typical length of 500 words or so, you may need to break your article up into a series of smaller articles because sometimes solving a difficult question can be quite long and your article can easily end up being 1500 to 2500 words long.

Sharing a new way of looking at an old problem or concept is a powerful way of establishing credibility, as long as your article is not based on untrue or inaccurate information. Establishing credibility in this way really helps you to stand out from the crowd because now it looks like you have more knowledge or experience in the subject you are writing about. This method of establishing credibility can also generate a lot of traffic in comments and emails especially if your way of looking at things is controversial. In order to build up credibility, you would need to know how to handle the controversial angle. If you know how to do it well, this method could pay off quite well in terms of getting traffic to your web site.

When your article provides a solution or solves a problem, you can indirectly explain why your product or service is the solution to their problem. The reason why you want to do indirectly discuss your product or service, is because if your article looks like a sales letter or a promotion letter, you will instantly erase any credibility that you may have built up, not to mention an increased rejection rate by publishers if your article looks like a sales letter. You would use your resource box to tell the reader that your product or service will keep the reader from having the problem discussed in the article and to go to your website to find out the complete solution.

Another way to boost your credibility is to give examples of how using your solution has made a difference. What benefits were received by using your solution? More income? Less pain? Easier outcomes? The more specific and detailed you get with the examples, the more it raises your credibility. Make sure your examples aren't full of hype or they don't create a sales pitch because that will lower your credibility with the reader.

Having a high credibility in your reader's eye definitely increases their willingness to form some kind of relationship with you, whether it be a client/customer, or a member of your mailing list. It doesn't take much to raise your credibility in your articles, however it also doesn't take much to lower it either. If you follow this simple strategy, you can be sure you will improve your credibility through your articles over time.
