How to Create Newsletters that Build Massive Subscriber Lists

How to Create Newsletters that Build Massive Subscriber Lists

Building a list is relatively easy, but building a quality list that people will eagerly subscribe to, and stay subscribed to, is something different. In order to keep your subscribers, you need to develop a newsletter or mailing format that offers readers real content and real value.

If your newsletter is something people would pay to receive, then they're sure to stick around for a while. They'll also be much more receptive to buying anything you recommend, and they'll even be willing to refer more subscribers to you.

It's vital that you give your subscribers quality content. So many people just blast out ad after ad to their list, with absolutely no regard for what their readers want. They don't have their readers' best interests at heart. This is not a wise path to tread as you will slowly kill your list both in terms of the number of subscribers and the overall responsiveness.

In order to make sure your newsletter is actually read, you need to provide quality content on a regular basis. This means sending out a newsletter fairly often - at least once a month.

The more often you provide great content, the more your name will stick in the minds of your readers. Once people realize the quality of the content you send, they'll start opening your emails more often. Of course, if you send messages out too often, people will unsubscribe. It's recommended that you not send out more than three to five messages per week, and that is an absolute maximum. Depending on the topic you are mailing about you could find that even three to five mailings a month is too much.

Of course, there are always exceptions. If you are offering a daily business newsletter then you would obviously have to mail daily, but anyone subscribing to a daily newsletter would expect to be receiving it each day and so wouldn't be annoyed and such a regular mailing schedule.

So, once you've got people to join your list how do you keep them interested so that you maximize the chance of your mails being opened and read, whilst at the same time minimizing the number of people who unsubscribe?

There's one technique that has been used incredibly effectively by many of the leading online marketers and that is ...

Get personal!

Build rapport with your readers by providing them with personal information and anecdotes. The more your readers feel like they know you personally, the more they'll trust your opinions, and the more likely they will be to respond to your offerings and recommendations.

But getting personal is much more than just telling them about what's happening in your life - much, much more. Although adding a personal touch to your mailings is a good thing, the truth is that unless you're a famous actor or rock star the chances are that your readers are much more interested in the meat of your newsletter. They might get a chuckle out of hearing about your latest funny encounter on the subway, but that isn't what they subscribed for. So, whenever you give them a personal story, try tying it in with some related content.

Nearly every story can be worded in such a way that it has a hook that relates to your subject in some way. Get creative! By tying in personal anecdotes to your content, you'll build a base of readers that not only love your content, but really like you.

When you're going to send an ad out to your list, you should consider offering some truly exceptional content that is related to the product. If you're promoting a product about using AdWords, why not provide your readers will several of your best AdWords tips in the same email? It's a case of give and take. If all you are doing is taking (i.e. expecting them to part with their hard earned money) then you need to be giving too. This can be in the form of quality content or well researched recommendations. If you're just recommending something so you can earn a quick buck, then think twice.

Getting personal is a two way street. It isn't all about you telling them about your life, it's about you going out of your way to meet the needs of the reader, not just once, but time and time again. If you can do that you will have a list of subscribers who are likely to be with you for many years to come.

Ludicrously Lucrative List Building

Lots of people put opt-in forms on their websites because they know that once you get people on your list, you will then be able to make more money with your business because you will have more opportunities to sell to people.

Once you sell a good product to someone and they are happy with the results they got from the product, then they will trust your advice and are more likely to buy again from you in the future.

But they have to know about these new products you will eventually offer before they can buy it. If they are regular visitors to your website then there isn't a problem but if they're not, then how will they know? Also, with the amount of websites that could be competing in your market, they may be distracted by other sites.

It's kind of like your favorite retail store. You love shopping there because of the great deals but you wont go there everyday to see if something new is on sale. Well at least most of us wont ;-) . You don't even think of it. But when your local paper comes to your door, the first thing you do is look for your favorite retail store's sales flyer.

This is the same thing with an opt-in list. Once you create a relationship with them, they will look forward to your emails and you have the ability to tell them about any new product offers you will have in the future.

Now you just can't go and throw an opt-in form on your site and expect people to give you their name and personal email address, you have to BRIBE them. Ya I said it... you have to bribe them!

You have to give them a darn good reason before they will give it to you. So put together a report or a series of reports in text, video, or audio format. Prepare anything that will be valuable information to your market that people will jump at the chance at getting in exchange for the email address.

Once on your list, then you can eventually start recommending products. But don't start promoting too soon, let your subscribers go through all of the great free content you just gave them first.

The backbone of the opt-in list is the auto-responder. Auto-responders allow you to send out a series of emails on different days. For example you could write a 7 day report and set up your auto-responder to send a different email everyday.

This is great because all you have to do is set it up once and it doesn't matter if someone opts in today or 4 months from now, each person will get the same 7 day report every day for 7 days. Without an auto-responder you would manually have to send the report each day whenever someone new signs up. Impossible.

Get started today with setting up your autoresponder and build your list!

3 Winning Strategies To Use For Building Your List

3 Winning Strategies To Use For Building Your List
Download Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips
My clients and regulars to my ezine have heard me say many times that the gold in your business starts with the list. Having a list of interested potential clients, who want to know more about you and your services, will provide you with a long-term, successful, business.

And guess what?

When you have a list in place of potential clients who are interested in you, your services and your products they come to you! You don't have to go out and find clients - they're right there!

And to achieve this you need to create a List Building System, so that you can continually add people to your list, and have a ready pool of clients who want to buy your products and services.

There are many different strategies that go towards creating your successful list building system, and today I'd like to share with you three free, and often overlooked, list building strategies. And they're all easy to implement too!

1. Leverage the power of Amazon. I bet you didn't realize you could use Amazon as a list building strategy! It's very easy to do. If you have an account there, simply click on Your Profile along the top, and update your profile. Include as much information as you can about you and your business, and include a link back to your website. Then set about:

* Writing book reviews. If you have favorite books that you've read and have found invaluable to you in your business, write a review about them. You don't need to have purchased your book from Amazon to write the review either. Simply find the listing for that book and write your review. The author will appreciate the positive comments, and your profile will be hyperlinked in the book review - giving readers the opportunity to find out more about you!

* Building a Listmania. A listmania is simply a collection of books/audio products that you have found useful and you've pulled them altogether in one place, so that anyone looking for books/products on a particular topic can view your listmania to see what you recommend. It saves them having to trawl through the website researching the information themselves!

2. Trade 'Thank You' page space. When someone signs up for your newsletter, what does your Thank You page say? I'll bet it says something like, 'Thank you for signing up to my newsletter' - not very inspiring! Instead, use this space to recommend colleague's newsletters. You could add, 'Here's a list of newsletter I find invaluable and I'd like to recommend them to you too'. And better still, ask those colleagues whose newsletter you're referring to do the same for you! This is known as co-registration (or trading 'Thank You' page space), and is a wonderful way to build your list quickly.

3. Use the power of Email Signatures. This is a very simple way to build your list. At the bottom of every email you send out make sure you include a link to your newsletter sign-up page and a snippet of what your free taste is about. The beauty of this strategy is that you never know who your email will get forwarded to, and who will read your email signature and sign up to your list.

Now that I've shared with you three simple list building strategies, pick one of them and implement it TODAY! Don't waste any more time in building your list.

List Building with Articles

List Building with Articles
Download Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips
You can build your list simply by writing articles, whether you have thought of it or not.

Quite simply, you write and submit your articles on your topic of expertise or business nature to popular article directories where eZine publishers and readers are looking for the information you provide.

Leveraging your viral marketing efforts on article writing can be rewarding, if done right. In the real sense, you are actually proving your worth and demonstrating your expertise about your business through the articles you write.

So, how can this method in effect build your mailing list? The answer: the resource box you attach to your articles. In your resource box (also known as bio box), you include a brief detail about yourself and your business site together with its URL.

It is strongly suggested that your resource box URL links to your mailing list's landing page where you can get your visitor's name and email address, which will in turn help you build your mailing list at no cost.

If your articles are found worth sharing, eZine publishers will republish your articles together with your resource box for their readers and subscribers. The wonderful result: viral marketing without effort on your part!

Trying to Convert every visitor into a Subscriber can be hard.If a person visits your website and leaves, chances are that he or she will not come back, especially if there are no compelling reasons to do so. After all, we all behave rather impulsively on the Internet, so much so that we can easily forget where we were 10 web pages ago.

But the bottom line is that your visitor may not come back to your website again. If 1,000 visitors visit your website, leave and never come back again, you can imagine the amount of potential revenue lost, simply because they do not come back. You could have converted a fraction of the visitors into your customers.

Some may say that creating unique content can keep some of the visitors coming back, but very often, unique content is not the solution. The real, long-term solution lies in converting your visitors into subscribers of your mailing list.

Before your visitor leaves your website, you want to convert him or her into your subscriber via a simple opt-in to your mailing list. You do this by asking for your visitor's name and email address through your opt-in form.

And if your visitor signs up to be on your mailing list, you can still follow up with him via email. You can get your subscriber to consider your offer, or endorse another offer to him or her.

All in all, you want to convert as many visitors into subscribers as possible and obtain the potential revenue you rightfully deserve - the easy, wise way.

You can start by writing and submitting your articles to trusted article submitter sites such as http://www.articlemarketer.com/ and begin your article marketing journey today.

To Your Success,

What is a Landing Page and Why use One?

What is a Landing Page and Why use One?
Download Free Copy Of Landing Page Success Guide
You have probably heard of a "landing page", but you may have asked yourself: What in the heck is a landing page and what is it for?

In a nutshell, a landing page is the "holy grail", the real insider secret of selling any product on the internet.

Here's what a landing page is, and what it is for:

A "landing page" is the page where you send ALL of your "visitors". Not buyers, not members, and not subscribers, but Visitors. It the the first place a new visitor should see on your site.

The landing page should list all of the benefits that your site offers - but briefly. And when I say a list, I mean list BENEFITS - not features. Tell the visitor why they will benefit, what they will gain, how they will make money, save money, lose weight, be happier, and on and on.

Let them know the YOUR site has the solution to all of their problems. Of course, the benefits should pertain to your site content.

If your site is about skydiving, then you could list things like "learn the 3 things that will keep you alive every time you jump". In other words, the content on your landing page needs to read like HEADLINES for your website. The headlines will be the benefits that your site offers to a prospective customer.

And then here is the key, the very most important thing that you will ever do: Tell the prospect that they can get all of the information instantly if they will just give you their name and email address.

That's the "holy grail" of internet marketing. A mailing list of people who are interested in the topic or the items you are catering to.

You will need a sign-up form that is "hooked up" to an autoresponder. An autoresponder is an automatic marketing machine that you set up in advance to deliver about 50 email messages to the customer. These email messages direct the customer back to your site to discover something new and amazing each time they visit. A very good autoresponder, and one that I use is Aweber.com.

It has super tutorials that guide you through setting everything up. Aweber also has great reporting functions and you can actually see which of your prospects is clicking and coming back to your site.

The big picture looks like this: You advertise via pay-per-click or via articles or links and you direct the visitors to your landing page. If your offer sounds interesting and exciting enough, they will sign up on this page. The email confirmation process will take them to your real site and then, over time, they will receive your future emails directing them to interesting and exciting features of your site. Eventually, they will become customers.

All of them? Nope. But a good percentage of them. AND - you will make a profit.

I have over 2200 people on one of my lists for a smaller niche that I market to but it generates about 4 sales a day resulting in $91 in income per day - from just ONE of the niches I market to. Depending on the niche, or market, that you are trying to sell to, you could make hundreds of sales per day using this method.

Making Money With An Opt-In Box

Making Money With An Opt-In Box
Download Free Copy Of Landing Page Success Guide
If you have been in the home business opportunity industry for any length of time then you have heard it stated over and over the money is in the list. The almighty list; everyone needs one, but who other than the big boys really has one?

Well if you don't have a good buying list then you might be wondering just how you acquire that almighty list especially when you're new to the game of internet marketing! Well first let me say that acquiring a list really isn't that hard. Shop around on the internet and you'll find literally a gazillion ads that promise you guaranteed traffic, or visitors they all use different verbiage but they are selling the same thing, a click to your website. Great! Wrong! So what?

What you need is targeted traffic that will buy from you. The almighty list is a list of buying customers. Now that is harder to get.

So if you haven't already figured this out, you need your very own squeeze page or website. Again, not hard to do, go to Wordpress.org or Blogger.com and setup a page you can direct prospects to. The big deal here is you need to be able to control the site. As a home business owner you need to be able manage the sight yourself. That's why I like using these two products; you don't have to be a web designer to make these products work for you. Next you need to have reason for a prospect to want to get to know you better. That can be in the form of a newsletter, some sort of training camp, e-book anything like that. You can create this, have a ghost writer do it for you or purchase PLR rights. And now here you go, you need an opt-in form.
What's an Opt-In Form?

A form that captures prospects information, that coveted information know as "The List". The prospect provides their information to you so you can begin to build your relationship and eventually a sale. Every business opportunity needs to capture this information and will have it in some form on their squeeze page or sales page.

But lately there has been a lot of talk about what should go on an opt-in list. Most big marketers want ALL your information: name, address, city, zip, phone, email, and if they could they'd take your first born. I have found that most people when asked to give away this much privacy for a free e-book will not likely give you good data.

So I like what many of the smart marketers are doing. Asking for just a little, name and email, get you on their list and then offer to send you their free CD so now if you want it you need to give them all the other info.

This works because by then your prospect trusts you and is willing to provide this data. Good tactic for all home business owners to understand and practice.

How to Grow Your List

How to Grow Your List
Download Free Copy Of Landing Page Success Guide
What is so important about growing your list? Your list is the secret to website marketing profits.

People will come to your website. They may like your content, but if they don't bookmark your site, you probably won't see them again. You have lost an opportunity to market to them.

If you convince them to opt-in to your list, you will have the chance to send them more of your great content. More importantly, you will be able to send them money making offers. People don't often buy the first time they see one of your offers. They don't trust you yet. It takes time and repetitions. They only way to do this is by drip-marketing to them.

Make sure that your opt-in or sign up form is prominently displayed close to the top of your page so that it can't be missed. Entice them to sign up by describing the free goodies you are offering. You should only ask for the first name and their email address. When they sign up, send them immediately to your "thank you" page. Deliver the goods you promised to them on that page. By the way, you can put a couple of other offers there on the "thank you" page, too. Sometimes, when people are really in the buying or joining mood, they will investigate your other offers.

Create a squeeze page. Spend some time on this page to get it right. A squeeze page, sometimes called a fly-catcher page, is a page designed to convince them to opt-in to your list. It will have a catchy title, a bullet pointed list of about 5 to 7 different benefits to joining and, of course, the opt-in form. Make sure they see the opt-in form. Put your opt-in form in a Johnson box with highlighted borders and draw arrows to it if you must. You have to tell people what you want them to do. Don't assume that they know.

Put an auto starting video on your squeeze page. Make sure that its duration is short. The video can go over the benefits of joining, but don't overdo it. Using video or at least, audio on your squeeze page will increase your success rate by about three times.

Summary: One of the keys to success in internet marketing is to grow your list. You need to market to the subscribers on the list.

* Make sure the opt-in form is prominently displayed right at the top of your landing page.

* Give your readers enticements to join your list -- free articles, reports, products, whatever you think will get them to sign up.

* In your article marketing, pay per click, and other marketing efforts, send people to your squeeze page.

* Add video or audio to your squeeze page. You will probably increase your opt-in rate by about three times.

How To Build A Fast Opt-in List In 7 Steps

How To Build A Fast Opt-in List In 7 Steps
Download Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips
If you have been in internet marketing for long, you should know that one of the essentials to success is building your own list. Whether you are selling your own products, selling on eBay, affiliate marketing, network marketing, or anything else online, you must have your own list.

Why? Just as in the offline world, people buy based on relationships. They buy online at a specific store or have their haircut by a specific stylist because of the relationship. The relationship contains a certain amount of trust which helps people feel comfortable purchasing.

Unless your customer is simply desperate or you have written the best sales letter in the whole world, you will not sell most visitors on their first visit to your web site. But once they get to know you, and they have seen your web site a few times, and they have read a few letters from you, they may buy from you.

As they are exposed to you and your name and your product several times, their trust level goes up. Once it is high enough for them to buy from you, you must be able to communicate with them again. Without a list, it is hit-or-miss. They might click on your PPC link again, but then you pay for it again. But if they are on your list, you can email them once a week or once a month, so they don't forget who you are when they are ready to buy.

So what are the seven steps to building a list online fast?

Step 1: You must create a landing page or squeeze page on your web site where they can send you their contact information. Make this form really easy to use, and give them some incentive to use it. For example, offer them a free newsletter, ecourse, ebook, or sample if they opt-in to your list.

Step 2: You must subscribe to an auto responder service so you can send them automated responses and follow-up letters. You may think you can do it easily enough, but once you have a few hundred names on your list, it will become a nightmare. A good auto responder service can be purchased for about 20 dollars a month, and it is well worth it.

Step 3: You must drive traffic to your web site. It should be good, quality traffic that has the same general demographic as your typical customer. PPC is good for this, just be sure you choose your keywords carefully. If you are selling specialized ammo, you don't want to pay for all types of clicks in the ammunition arena--bid on specialized words. Write articles about your area of expertise and the subject of your web site and submit them to the online article directories. Partner with non competing businesses that sell to a similar clientele. For example, if you are a dog trainer, you might partner with a veterinarian. You are not competing with them directly, but you can both benefit by getting to know the others' customers.

Step 4: You must send the subscribers strong, informative, useful emails. They will not open your emails for long if they are not getting value from them. Do not be afraid to give away good stuff in your emails. You may be thinking that you usually charge for what you are giving away for free, but if it brings you new business online, it is well worth it.

Step 5: Make sure that every contact you have online with a potential customer gives them an opportunity to opt-in to your list. Your web site, all your emails, anything you mail out via the postal service, should all have a way for them to get on your list.

Step 6: Mail regularly---at least once per month, or twice per month. Always use the same return address or "from" name. Spam is such a nuisance these days, so people must recognize you to open your mail. And by the way, never, ever send your list junk. If it has no immediate value to them in your area of expertise, do not send it.

Step 7: Keep the big picture in mind. You are not building the list for the sake of building a huge list. You are building a list with the ultimate purpose of making new relationships online that may translate into business on down the road. It is far better to grow a small list and develop a strong relationship with the people on it, than to grow a big list with no relationship.

Discover 2 List Building and Money Making Secrets

Discover 2 List Building and Money Making Secrets
Download Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips
You hear a lot about the importance of building your own list when it comes to making money on the Internet. In this article we want to talk about two important things that you must do if you want to make more money on the Internet and build the list.

1. The first thing you must do is get a system in place to build your list. This seems so basic, yet it is amazing how many websites you go to that have no way to build their list.

What we are talking about is having a lead capture form on every page that your website or blog has on it. You will not need a lot of information from your prospect to follow up with them.

You really want to keep it simple, because the easier you make it for your prospect to subscribe to your list, the more of them that will do it. Therefore you really only need their first name and email address to start following up with them.

Therefore every sign up form should contain a short piece of information telling them exactly what you're going to give them in exchange for them giving you their first name and e-mail address. This should be something of value that would make a person want to subscribe to your list.

The other part of this system is to use a quality auto responder and follow up with it. You should have a way to deliver your information to your prospect on a consistent basis and already have a preset series of e-mail messages ready to go.

This allows you to really automate your business which is one of the secrets to making money online today.

Another part of this system is to build various landing or splash pages. You really only need one, but the benefit of promoting more than one music gives you an opportunity to test which one is working the best.

2. Once you have your system in place the most important thing that you can do now is to drive traffic to your website or landing pages. Initially you need to master one form of getting traffic to your site.

This may take you several hundred hours to learn how to do properly, but you must be committed to this if you want to build a list and make more money in the future. You can combine paid advertising with free or nearly free advertising to get the same results.

This is 2 list building and money making secrets that will definitely help you build a profitable business and a long term one as well.

5 Squeeze Page Errors You Must Avoid!

5 Squeeze Page Errors You Must Avoid!
Download Free Copy Of Landing Page Success Guide
The design of your squeeze page is a really critical element of the list building process. The conversion rate of your squeeze page will have a huge effect on how rapidly your list grows.

So it's really important to optimize your squeeze page in order to collect as many new opt-in subscribers as you can from your traffic.

Therefore you must make sure that you don't make the following 5 common mistakes that a lot of other marketers do:

1. Only One Opt-In Box On The Page

A lot of marketers only include one opt-in box on their squeeze page. Use two! One under your headline and one at the end of your page. The second box gives your readers a second chance to subscribe! With only one box at the beginning you'll lose a lot of potential subscribers! The more opportunities to subscribe you offer your visitor, the more chances you have of capturing their details!

2. External Links

Your squeeze page has one purpose, to capture your visitors details. Therefore don't go including a bunch of links to other pages on your squeeze page, that just gives them the option to leave without subscribing. Minimise any links, to possibly just your home page link at the very bottom of the page.

3. No Fear Or Urgency In The Headline

Your headline needs to make your visitor feel compelled to join your list. Make them feel as though they simply can't afford to leave your page without signing up for your offer.

Introduce urgency by limiting the offer in terms of subscribers or time available.

You can also introduce fear into your headline, for exampl, "Can You Afford Not To" or "Failing To Read This Could Lose You Millions". Fear is an uncomfortable feeling for the human mind, including it in your headlines will compel your readers to opt-in to remove the fear.

Other great words to include in your headlines are "Discover", "Revealed", "Uncovered" and "Secrets". All four words induce curiosity in the mind, and the curiosity can only be cured by subscribing!

4. No Privacy Policy or Contact Details

This is an important point not to get wrong. Your conversion rates will be influenced big time by not having a privacy statement and your contact details displayed on your squeeze page. Always include a privacy statement to reassure your visitor that you won't share their details or spam them, and let them see that you are willing to share your contact details to give them confidence and trust.

5. No Graphic With The Opt-In Box

Don't include an opt-in box without a graphic above it. The graphic will draw the eyes of the visitor to the opt-in box. It also allows them to visualize what you are offering in return for subscription. Images are more powerful than words. Always use professional looking graphics to impress. If you can, get hold of a graphical opt-in box, you can buy packs of squeeze page templates for less than $10!

And finally, just one more important tip ... Test, Test , and Test again! I really suggest that you split test continually, each time changing just one element of the squeeze page and then measure its conversion rate against the unaltered version. Once one of the pages shows a significant improvement, adopt it as the standard and split test it against another variant.

Why Build An Opt-In List?

Why Build An Opt-In List?
Download Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips
Why should you build an opt-in list? Here are two huge reasons:

Firstly, because your list belongs to you once you've built it. It gives you security. Regardless of what changes the search engines make to their algorithms, you'll always have a source of really targeted traffic.

Secondly, having your own subscriber list gives you the opportunity to expose your visitors to your offers multiple times. Very few visitors will buy from you on their first visit to your site, so the more times you can advertise to them, the higher your chances of making a sale.

Basically the larger your list the more you'll make over a longer period of time.

Having your own large list of subscribers also gives you a competitive advantage over would be competitors. New entrants to your niche will find it hard to attract free traffic in the volumes your list will bring you. Visitors will therefore cost you less than your competition and this competitive advantage will make it harder for new entrants to establish themselves.

All serious online marketers should be focused on building a targeted opt-in list of their own. It gives you the foundation for longer term success. With a targeted list your sales should increase as you repeatedly pitch to targeted contacts.

Well written, regular emails should yield regular sales and profits, the majority of which wouldn't have happened without a list. Your list allows you to convert visitors who weren't going to make a purchase into sales. The majority of the traffic you generate to your web pages will visit once and never return, unless you get them to join your list. Most webmasters concentrate on generating new traffic and not on building their list which is crazy! They should be concentrating on converting visitors into list members.

Another huge benefit of having your own subscriber lists is that you will find it much easier to find joint venture partners. Joint ventures can be hugely beneficial. If you partner with someone who has a huge list of their own, you can promote each others products at no extra cost, literally overnight your product can be promoted to thousands of potential buyers! The bigger your own list, the more attractive a joint venture will be to the other party.

So how do you build a huge list?

Firstly you need an opt-in box on your web pages with a compelling reason for your visitors to subscribe. A compelling reason usually takes the form of information critical to your visitors, that they can only get hold of via your opt-in box.

Secondly you need traffic. For list building you need to encourage traffic virally. Basically viral traffic is generated by your visitors telling others about your offers for you. You provide an incentive for each new subscriber to tell others. A good incentive will snowball the growth of your list.

Building a huge list will guarantee you make money online, both in the short and longer term.

YOUR Secret Weapon --- A Dynamic Capture Page

YOUR Secret Weapon --- A Dynamic Capture Page
Download Free Copy Of Landing Page Success Guide & Opt-In List Building
Most of you with a home-based business probably have a data capture page, landing or splash page. If you don't, you may change your mind after reading this article.

A data capture page is meant to personalize your product. It's designed to help people trust you and to also give you that personal touch. The purpose of your capture page is to get your prospects information (name, email, phone number). So don't give away the farm on the first page. Your secrets can be divulged on the second page.

You have to entice them in some way to give up their information so they can go to your second page. Offer a FREE report or ebook of some sort.

That being said, the first thing that a prospect sees when they view your capture page is the title. This is the most important part of your page. Ninety percent of prospects decide whether they will continue reading the rest of your page after they read the title. So make it stand out! Using a bold font and larger text size can help achieve this.

A picture of you is also a very important component. Prospects need to see you. It doesn't matter that you think you look goofy or otherwise. They care that you are a real person. Seeing your photo establishes trust with them.

Along the same line, you can also have a link (i.e. Meet Mree Vu) that showcases you with your family. You can have your bio written here as well as have a slideshow of your family. Pick your photos with care. Show the ones where you are having fun and loving life!

A short video can also be inserted on your front page. Don't make it too long. You don't want to lose your prospect's attention. Your one or two minute video can welcome them to your website or page and should direct them to what YOU want them to focus on or do on your page. Give them some direction.

When you are designing your capture page, make sure that you are dividing your page up with personal information, excitement and your product highlights. Again, entice them without giving away all your secrets. Your second page will serve the purpose of revealing more detail about your product, compensation plan, and training. And remember that you should deliver what you promised your prospect on the first page. If you don't come through with the necessary information, you'll have lost their trust and won't hear from them.

Also, don't make the mistake of putting how much you make on your capture page. That doesn't mean that you can't mention the earning potential of your product or business. For example, "How would you like to make $1000 a Day?" or "$250K potential" is a dynamic statement without giving away your personal income.

So how do you know when to send a prospect to your data capture page or your company website? You can send a prospect to YOUR capture page if you feel you need to make a connection with them. If you got your lead from an ad or a leads list, sending them to your page will let them get to know you.

If your company has a corporate website, it's probably more polished and very professional. You can your prospect there after they have visited your capture page and you have gotten to know them.

Most prospects will decide if they want to go forward in buying your product or joining your team after they have visited your data capture page. In the fast-paced world of internet marketing, getting a prospect to know you and trust is top priority.

Having a capture page with all of the above components is your secret weapon!

Free Email Leads Where To Get Them...

Free Email Leads Where To Get Them...
Download Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips
Getting leads is nothing new to online business's. But you have a few choices in how you can go about getting them.

In this article I am going to share with you 5 ways on how to get leads for your business for free. The best thing about it is once you set these strategies in motion you will to continue to get sign ups, even when your not doing anything... That is the power of automation.

So lets dive into some great strategies on how you can build free email leads for your business.

Step 1. Use high traffic sites to build your list in this example I am going to use yahoo answers as a example.

How to use yahoo answers? Finding your niche is easy just scroll down to your area of expertise and look for related questions that you can answer and as the source show them an article you have on your website or that you wrote on the subject.

By giving them a link to your article you will take them to your website. Hopefully you have set up a lead capture form on your site so they can sign up to your newsletter. Do you see how simple that is...

Answer 5 questions a day and you have 25 back links to your website in one week for 20 minutes of work that you can do in the morning.

Step 2. Using classified ads to build opt in leads? Now this can be done... But you have to do it right. When posting to most classified sites you're not allowed to directly link to the url or website so this is what your going to do.

Create an email address and forward it to your email host (whoever sends mail for you) say in the ad that if they want your free report send a blank email to freereport@yourdomain.com also tell the person in the ad that they are going to have to confirm there email address to receive the report.

Put follow ups in your email list host and there you go,you are now added subscribers to your list. Word of caution: Always read classified ads policies before posting your ad...

Step 3. Use Web 2.0. Every time you post to your blog send your post to all the social book marking websites. If you put an opt in box on your website you should start building subscribers at a stead pace as more traffic comes to your blog.

Step 4. Implement forum posting into your daily duties to get free email leads. Quick tip: do not sell anything ever. Simple help people and ask questions. After you have answered and asked some question's put your signature at the bottom of every post again read the forum rules before posting.

The idea is to be a useful person in the niche community not a drain. So just be a good person and never sell anything and you should be fine.

Step 5. Article Marketing is still a good and effective way to build a business as long as you give good tips that educate people on subjects you should be fine again. Don't sell anything in your article. Just use your bio box at the bottom of your article.

There you have it, 5 tips to getting free email leads to your business.

Write Articles To Help Build Your Business By Building Your List

Write Articles To Help Build Your Business By Building Your List
Download Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips
I know you've heard many times that to be successful at Internet Marketing you have to have a list. You can build your list in many ways but the quickest and most effective way is by writing articles.

Many ezine publishers and website owners are constantly looking for new and up to date information for their publications and web pages. Article writing is the perfect way to provide that information and build an opt-in list.

A lot of new and some experienced Internet Marketers get confused about the obvious use of the opt-in list. The main objective is not just to build a list of names and email addresses. Its purpose is to help you build your business by providing you with a valuable list of names and email addresses that are of good quality.

Millions of people search the internet daily for numerous reasons. The majority of them are usually looking for information on one or a variety of subjects that they just want to know more about.

Here are a few things that you should consider when writing articles to build your business:

1. Find out what type of information people are looking for and provide it for them. This can be done easily by asking the members who are currently on you list what they want.

If you don't currently have a list you can always visit different forums to find out what people are asking for.

2. Keep in contact with the members on your opt-in list and get to know them. Obviously, if they are subscribing to your list, and staying around, they are interested in what you have to say and you have something in common.

You can ask them to recommend you to their friends, family or co-workers who have the same interests that you have and they can help you build your business.

3. Be careful not to frustrate the members on your list by constantly providing too much information by email too frequently. Though they may like to get email, try not to send too many emails too often.

You can provide the best quality information there is but if you over do it some of your members will opt-out and leave you because of information overload.

When you write articles and submit them to article directories in most cases it is free. It is one of the easiest ways to drive traffic to your website, get free advertising and build your opt-in list all at the same time.

Make your articles key-word rich about your website topic and strive to keep the word count between 400 and 600 words long.

There are times that they will be longer but make sure you check the article directories rules as different article directories have different rules about article length.

Always include a resource box at the bottom of your article with a little bit of information about yourself and include a link to your website.

You will soon build credibility and draw more targeted traffic to your website as your articles are read by others and they begin to click on the link to your website and opt-in to your list.

You will also start to get noticed by search engines and get established as other website owners begin to publish your articles in their ezines, to their list and on their websites.

So, to build your opt-in list quickly and drive traffic to your website, write good quality articles and submit them to the article directories often.

The Golden Rules Of Selling To Your Opt-in List

The Golden Rules Of Selling To Your Opt-in List
Download Free Copy Of The Money Really is in The List
You've got your internet business and you have created an opt-in list. Now what?

Well, you have to encourage your list to buy from you. This is a lot harder than you may first imagine. There are series of books written on this subject and it really is an art. Many people have studied for years to perfect this, however I'm going to go through some very important rules to follow when you start selling to your list. Email is the preferred method to contact your list as its free and very effective.

Always remember the vast majority of people base their decision to buy on EMOTION. They then justify their purchase through LOGIC.

When selling to your list you must address both these factors in order to maximise the sales from your list. Over the last five years I have been involved in various internet businesses and I have found the following rules to be most effective.

Get your customers begging for more information:

You have to grab the attention of your list, you must create enough interest so that your list is begging for more information on your products.

Carry out some market research for yourself, register with various companies and see how they sell, see how they make their products "sizzle", this is sometimes referred to as "selling the sizzle" and can be very effective.

There are many ways to present your products and many promotional styles and methods. You have to grab your customers attention and get them to visit your site for more information and therefore buy your product. Content and creativity are the keys here, you are trying to lock in your customer to your marketing and therefore your products.

a) Keep your message simple, light and creative. Your customer does not want a long winded email with loads of facts and figure about your products and their performance. Keep it light hearted, your objective is to get your customer to read the email. We all live in a serious world, add a bit of humour or fun and it can pay off.

b) Add photos and splash some colour into your emails. Send out newsletters previewing your products, make them interesting, light hearted and eye catching. Grab your customers interest.

c) You must have good content and articles about your products. This will build trust between you and your customers. If necessary get a professional copy writer to do this for you in a style that is informative and light hearted, not stuffy. Outline the benefits of your products to your customers - do not talk about features - only benefits. Try not to be too keen here, people don't like products being forced upon them, hold back a little, this often works.

d) A picture is worth a thousand words. If you do have clear and concise pictures of your products then use them! This coupled with clear concise benefits can work wonders.

Grab Your Readers Attention With Your Subject:

This is sometimes overlooked by new internet business owners. They don't realise that just sending an email is not enough. In this day and age there are literally thousands of companies who market their products through opt-in lists via email. You have to realise that you are just one of the many companies vying for your customers attention.

Therefore it is imperative that you actually get your customer to open your email. To some this may sound rather a basic point. But do you realise that on average every 100 emails sent to an opt-in list, the average number of emails that are actually read is approx 30-40.

THE major factor in your customer opening your email is the subject heading in your email - that is why it is so important to get this right.

a) Try and keep the subject short and concise, it should ideally provide a summary of the content of your email. You need to grab the attention of your customer so that they are intrigued to open your email and read further. Tickle your customers curiosity, use emotion and selling words. Remember you only have a few seconds to grab your customers attention before they skip or delete your email.

b) A popular method is to indicate that your email will give your customer some sort of training or tips on certain subjects. You can do this by using such phrases such as "Guide To ..." or "How To ..." or "Tips for ...". These are known to work well but your email content must reflect your subject heading.

c) Asking a question in the subject heading can also work well. Again you have to get emotional buy in, even from the subject heading. So questions like "Are you looking for financial freedom?" or "Have you had enough of working for someone?". These types of subject heading get your customers thinking straight away and are known to work well. Again always ensure your email content gives an answer to the question stated in the subject of your email.

d) New product announcements. This is perfect when previewing new products you are about to launch or make available to your customers. Headings like "Announcing great new ..." or "2 weeks before launch of ...". Again can be very effective given the product you are selling.

e) Issuing a command or directive. Statements such as "Act now ..." or "Limited opportunity apply now ..." or "Triple your income, find out how ...". Again you are emphasising the benefits of your products to your customers.

Things To Avoid When Emailing Your List:

Online and email marketing is very common and your customers will be bombarded with many internet companies vying for their money. It is important for you to avoid getting into problems with the law or your ISP or with spamming. However, if you have created your own opt-in list then you should be o.k. and not have to worry from these problems. However there are still some things to avoid.

Remember it can takes years to gain a good reputation and only a few minutes to destroy it.

a) Analyse your email broadcasts, take note of those that bounce, i.e. that are undeliverable. Also get some information on how many were opened. Erase all bounced email addresses. Some autoresponders such as Aweber do this for you. Manually check the email address for common mistakes, it may be that it is a simple spelling mistake which you can correct.

b) Always but always provide an unsubscribe option at the bottom of your emails. Aweber automatically does this as do most autoresponders. It may be that someone used another persons email address so you need to give them an easy option to stop receiving your emails.

c) Do not send shocking or disturbing pictures or video, absolutely no pornographic content should be sent. You cannot be certain of the age of the person who has opted in to your list, therefore always keep your content respectable and above board. Always stick to the content of your site or your products.

Follow the above golden rules and you should be successful at marketing your products to your list and getting a favourable response. Remember, cultivating the relationship between yourself and your customers is key in establishing trust and thereby getting your customers to purchase from you.

I have been involved in Internet Businesses for the past 5 years and have gained some valuable experience, sometimes bitter, sometimes with fantastic results. I hope my experiences can help others become successful Internet Business owners.

How To Make Money Using Only Your Opt-in List

How To Make Money Using Only Your Opt-in List
Download Free Copy Of The Money Really is in The List
An opt-in mailing list is usually THE essential component when it comes to recording and converting prospects who have expressed an interest in your products. Without an opt-in list any internet business will struggle to fully convert all the prospects that may buy its products.

Therefore the first part in creating a successful internet business is to create your opt-in list - we will not be dealing with that subject in this article. This subject is dealt with in my article "How To Build Your Business with An Opt-In List That Works" - if you would like me to send you this article then please email me.

This article deals with how you can use your opt-in list to make money and up sell higher ticket items to your prospects and customers.

An opt-in list is crucial to 99% of internet businesses, even for small or new sites the opt-in list can make a highly significant difference to the sites income. Use the opt-in properly and it will pay you handsomely.

The opt-in list allows you to establish and maintain communication with your prospects or customers. One point to make here is that a prospect is someone who has enquired about your products without actually purchasing them. Once the prospect has purchased a product from you then they become a customer.

You can use your opt-in list to send information about your products, special offers, newsletters, whatever you think your prospects or customers want and need. Remember your objective here is to get emotional buy in for your products or services. By providing them information, for example via newsletters, you are building up your companies trust and the more your prospect trusts you the more likely they are to purchase from you.

The whole point of an opt-in list is that your prospect has given you permission to send them information on your company and products. This effectively means you have been invited by the prospect to tell them about your products as they have already expressed an interest in what you have to offer. Therefore you cannot be accused of spam mail.

Newsletters are a great way to keep contact with your list and provide useful and informative information to your prospects. They also encourage your list to visit your site regularly and check for new content. As we all know content is king, if your prospects like your content then you are already more then half way to converting them to customers. Newsletters are also a great way to build your list.

The most effective and easiest way to contact your list via email is through the use of an autoresponder. There are many on the market today, most internet businesses use Aweber as do I and I recommend it.

You can set up your autoresponder to send messages to your prospects that have enquired about your products, its very simple to do. Your objective here is to appeal to your prospects emotions as we all know that when making a decision to purchase it is usually driven by emotion first and then justified by logic later.

I would recommend if you are new to internet businesses and to email follow-up messages then you get an experienced sales copy professional to help you compose these messages. It is well known that a prospect needs to be contacted at least 7 times before they will buy - so follow-up is key and the easiest way is through using your autoresponder.

Typically, most internet businesses try and get their prospects to buy something that is relatively cheap, lets say under $40. For most prospects this should not be a problem. Once the prospect has bought from you they become your customer and are now very valuable to you.

They have proved they are willing to get their credit card out and purchase from you. This differentiates them from prospects in a real way - You can now try and up sell your customers higher ticket items. This is where most internet companies make most of their money so you can see how important it is to know who your customers are and what they are interested in purchasing.

Once your list has grown you can make extra money not only by selling your own products and services but by using the following methods, obviously the larger your list the more money you can make:

a) Create and maintain affiliations with other companies that are involved in the same industry or sector as yourself. These other companies provide links on their products and services that you can add onto your site or newsletter. Every click made on the affiliates link will mean money for you.

b) Again by establishing affiliate deals you can ask for a percentage of sales made by your list purchasing products from your affiliates. Once a member on your list clicks through to the affiliates website and purchases goods, this is recorded and you get a percentage of the value of the purchase.

c) Sell advertising space. Many companies will be prepared to pay for banners and other similar adverts on your newsletters or even your website. The amount you can charge will vary on the size of the advert and how many unique users visit your website or how big your opt-in list is. I would strongly advise against selling or renting out your list - it will damage your reputation with your customers and lead to a long term loss in sales and will result in a shorter list.

d) You can sell information products in the form of e-books or even articles that you have written. There is great demand for information products on the internet, many people are willing to pay to gain knowledge. With the trust you created with your list, they will be much more likely to buy from you than someone they have not dealt with.

e) Use your list to its full potential - get your list to recommend you to their friends, family and business associates. You could use recommend-a-friend and offer some sort of free gift for doing so. An increase in your opt-in list will pay handsome dividends now and in the future.

Remember your list is the life blood of your business - look after it, take care of it, nurture it, make it grow and it will reward you handsomely.

I have been involved in Internet Businesses for the past 5 years and have gained some valuable experience, sometimes bitter, sometimes with fantastic results. I hope my experiences can help others become successful Internet Business owners.

Using JV Giveaways To Build Your List

Using JV Giveaways To Build Your List
by Chris Simpson
Download Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips
No doubt you have heard many times that it is important to build a list to ensure your success in Internet Marketing. The big question many people have, however, is just how do you get started with list building?

An excellent way to start building your list is to contribute a free gift to a JV giveaway event. In these events many different marketers submit a free gift which could be a free report or ebook, a software application or even access to a private membership website.

If you don't currently have anything to give away just search for some Private Label Rights products that you are free to give away. You may be able to get a PLR product for free or other times you may have to pay a small fee for it.

After you have decided on the product that you will be giving away you then need to build a squeeze page that will explain to visitors what your free product is and some of the benefits of downloading it. Your squeeze page should also have a form asking for your visitors name and email address in exchange for your gift. This form will be linked to your autoresponder so that you can automatically email out the download link when the form has been filled in.

Once you have your squeeze page up and running and delivering your gift you can then add your gift to a JV giveaway event. The giveaway will usually be open to the public for a limited number of days and people visiting the giveaway site can look through all of the gifts that have been contributed and download the ones that interest them. If anybody wants to download the gift that you have contributed they will be taken to your squeeze page and fill out the form which means you have just got another subscriber on your list.

When you first sign up as a contributor to a JV giveaway site you may be offered the opportunity to upgrade to a premium account so that your gift will be listed in a more prominent position. If you can afford it then this is worthwhile doing since this will give your gift more exposure and should result in you getting more new subscribers on your list.

There are new JV giveaway sites opening up all the time so you should be looking out for new ones to participate in all the time. The more sites that you add your gift to the more exposure your squeeze page will get which means more new subscribers on your list.

Being a contributor in JV giveaway events is a simple but very effective way of getting visitors to your squeeze page and on your list. If you have never contributed a gift to a giveaway before why not start right now?

The Biggest Enemy Of Your Online Business Is Your Failure To Focus On The Right Thing!

The Biggest Enemy Of Your Online Business Is Your Failure To Focus On The Right Thing!
Free Copy Of List Building Super Tips

You've just set up an Internet marketing business and you are feeling excited. But after a while there are no sales from your site and nothing seems to be happening.

Then one of the Internet Marketing Big Shots puts out a $144 Internet Marketing For Newbies course that promises to lead you to success - so although you flinch at the price you jump at the offer.

You and 1,999 other newbie marketers who are all in the same boat as you!

Half the people who buy the product never get around to downloading the materials.

Half the people who download the materials never get beyond the first couple of lessons.

Half of those who actually finish the course don't apply any of the stuff to their own online businesses.

Of the 250 people who complete the course and begin to apply the lessons to their own businesses, half get tired of the work involved and go back to what they were doing before.

The rest begin to see some improvement to their business, but have not yet made any money at it.

Then, another Internet Marketing Big Shot brings out a course all about "Internet Marketing For Newbies" and word spreads that it also has a good affiliate program. Most of the people who'd completed the first "Internet Marketing For Newbies" course promptly buy the second... and the process starts all over again!!

The problem does not lie with the nature of the materials they purchased, nor with the willingness of this group of newbie marketers to put in the hours working.

No, it is a question of focus and leverage. Or rather, it is a question of focusing on the wrong thing - website development, clicking for traffic, chatting in forums, searching for new affiliate programs... buying new "Internet Marketing For Newbies" courses.

These are all the wrong things to be focusing on - and focusing on the wrong things is almost as bad as not focusing at all!

Okay, so what should you be focusing on?

Well, there are a series of steps that each requires your attention.

First you need to focus on finding a lucrative market.

Second, you need to focus on finding a range of products to sell to the market.

Third, you need to focus all your efforts on building a list of people in that market niche to whom you will sell your products.

The third step is the one that requires most focus and attention. In fact, once you have found a lucrative market you should start list building even before you have found or developed a range of products to sell to the list. Obviously, without a list to sell to, no amount of good products will be of any use to you.

The question of How To Build A List will be dealt with in my next article, "Focus On Building Yourself A Qualified List Of Customers Who Are Eager To Hear From You And Buy Your Products".

Can You Really Build Your List By Using Articles?

Can You Really Build Your List By Using Articles?

You build an awesome website showing off your products, add a google adsense to generate more income and maybe even add some affiliate marketing to enhance your income. Where are the customers? Why are you not getting visitors? Getting customers to your site should always be ranked as high as the quality of the product and the services you provide for obvious reasons. They should go hand in hand providing your customers the satisfaction they get in exchange for the money they have paid for them. Customer service should be as fantastic so that the customers are provided with the same satisfaction.

There are several ways you can combine marketing and customer service but opt-in marketing with an optin list gives you the opportunity to introduce your site and products on a good time basis. Opt-in marketing strategy is a marketing strategy that is virtually low cost and not time consuming. Here, you get the consent of your website visitors to subscribe to your newsletters and other promotional materials such as catalogs and free promotions. Time to start building your luckylist.

Opt-in marketing uses your list of subscribers to send e-mail to. These e-mails will contain the materials you will send to your subscribers. It is essential that you present your promotional items in a manner that will catch the interest and the eye of your subscribers to keep them wanting for more. The best way to do this is to provide fun, entertaining and informational articles. By mixing up emails using both txt and html format. Now with the compressed video format this will also inform your list of subscribers. But remember not everyone has the latest computer, with the fast processors and huge memory. It is best to offer both txt and other format (html and video) and let your list of subscribers choose which format they prefer.
