Article Writing: How to Write Articles for Money

Article Writing: How to Write Articles for Money
Download Free Copy Of The Expert Guide To Article Marketing
Article writing can be very lucrative, and if you know how to write articles for money, you should be able to get through the current economic squeeze unscathed. This article will explain how you can learn to write articles in a form needed both for website content and for directory submission.

The economy at the moment is in such a state right now that all round the world many people are getting worried how to make ends meet. An equal number are starting new internet ventures and are seeking online content and articles for submission to article directories that can be used to advertise their websites, products and services.

This type of advertising is free, and one good article can attract a large number of people to a specific page on somebody's website. Not only do people read articles that are published on directories from the directory itself, but these articles are also listed on Google if they are sufficiently optimized to persuade Google to give them a high listing.

People are currently paying from $5 to $50 for good articles, and although you can't expect much for $5, the average is around $15-$20. This is cheap when compared to the cost of other forms of online advertising. For example an article can get at least 2,000 reads on a directory, which equates to 0.75 cents a click for an equivalent PPC ad. Even if you paid $20 for an article, you be paying only 1c a click for equivalent exposure on Google Adwords - the title of an article can attract prospects just as much as that of an advert.

Now consider you being the writer and not the user of the article. Even a slow writer can write three articles of 700 words in an hour, and if you charge $15 for each article, you could make $45 an hour, or $180 a day for just 4 hours work. That's $3,600 a month for only 20 days work, and you don't even have to give up the day job. Even at only 2 articles an hour that's $2,400 extra a month. Alternatively, if you are a bit short of ready cash for something specific, just write a few articles until you have what you need.

You could use that income to join one of the many lucrative money-making programs available online, or just spend it on whatever you like. However, there is more to writing articles than you think, and even if you are good at English you still have to learn how to write articles for money. Even English teachers have to be taught how to write articles that they would have otherwise been unable to write, because articles written for directories have to be written in a specific way while those for web content are written in a different way.

Not only that, but there is the effective use of keywords to consider, without overusing them. The vocabulary used in the article has be contextually related to the topic so that it supports the keyword, and makes the topic and the targeted keyword clear to search engine spiders without endless repetition. Writing articles for money also involves a specific approach to style, that for one topic might appropriately be friendly and directed personally to the reader, while for another topic might be of a more formal nature.

There are no article writing schools available as such, so you have to learn all of this in other ways. You also have to learn how to carry out keyword research because your customers will likely be relying upon you to choose the best keywords for their topic. Learning how to write articles for money is more than just learning how to use English grammar properly, and that, incidentally, is another important aspect of article writing. Your grammar must be as good as possible.

Some of the more common grammatical errors are excusable, such as improper use of semi colons and the difference between the way the Americans and British use punctuation and quotation marks: "like this," in the USA and "like this", in the UK. However some are not excusable, such as "the person what wrote this" should be punished for not being "the person who wrote this".

All of this apart, learning how to write articles for money is well worth the time and effort, and even the expense, if you are going to be earning upwards of $2,400 extra a month doing it. Some people will pay more than $20 for top class articles, and it is not unknown for over $100 to be paid for top-class work by the major players in the internet marketing game.

So, take your time and check out what is available online to help you to write articles properly, but make sure that your teacher is a practicing freelance writer of articles for online use because it is a specific skill of its own. A good newspaper or magazine writer will not necessarily make a good writer of internet marketing articles in which use of keywords, vocabulary and content are of the utmost importance.

If you want to make money online with article writing, you should learn how to write articles for money from somebody who is skilled and successful at doing so. It is a source of income not dependent on luck or how much traffic you drive to a website, but on your own skills, how well you have learned them and how well you apply them. Keep in mind that extra $2,400 - $3,600 a month you will have to spend, and you are sure to succeed.

Seven Tips for Making Your Web Content King

Seven Tips for Making Your Web Content King
Download Free Copy Of 30 Tips For Ebook Authors
If you want your own web site, here's something you need to know: Content is king!

Search engines love the stuff. People who visit your site are there because they want it. Even if your site doesn't have much of it, a good way to get people there for free is to generate article content for someone else's sites and attach your link to it.

Still, the devil's in the details. It's all well and good to say that 'content is king', but that fact isn't going to help you unless you know how to make the most of it. So, here are some tips for writing good web-based content that will shine on the Internet.

1.) Keep your articles short and focused. Lengths of 400-500 words are good. Only write about a single facet of your given topic and edit it so it's not a rambling, disordered mess.

2.) Writing articles well takes practice, so write at least daily and preferably more.

3.) Never publish a rough draft. When your creative juices are flowing, you think you can do no wrong. This is why you should let your articles sit for a few days before you edit them. That way, you buy yourself some objectivity by cooling off a bit, and can edit them into finished drafts effectively.

4.) Organize your content so that visitors and spiders can find it easily. Don't make your web site a big digital labyrinth.

5.) Use keywords in your article so that people using search engines can find your content. Keywords related to your article's topic can be found with free keyword tools on the Internet, though you'll find that some of those keywords don't make much sense and can't be used in a sentence. Just remember that you're not a slave to your keywords; they're tools for you.

6.) Use META tags for your articles. These are placed between the HEAD tags of an HTML page and tell the people reading their search results what your article is about at a glance. They also make your content more search-engine friendly, which is good for you.

7.) Remember the white space. Articles don't look good as giant globs of unbroken paragraphs, and will repel readers if they're published that way. Keep your points as short as possible and space between them.

Keep these tips in mind, and you can make your web content king.

How to Make Money Online Writing Articles

How to Make Money Online Writing Articles
Get Free Copy of Derek Gehl's Six Steps You Need To Follow To Guarantee The Success Of Your Online Business! & Affiliate Marketer's Handbook
Few know how to make money online writing articles in spite of the number that profess to be able to write them. Articles can be used in two very fundamental ways: on your website or on the web pages of others. Since the purpose of writing articles is to have them read, then they will be read either on one of your own pages or that of an article directory, ezine or another website.

What is wrong with that paragraph? Did you spot the deliberate mistake? NO? Then read it again and see if you can find the false statement. It might not be too obvious, but it should become so if you consider the reason that the vast majority of people have a website. It's not to have it admired for the fabulous design, the graphics and the masterful writing. It's not even to attract massive amounts of traffic to your website. It's none of these things. Got it yet?

It's to make money! There's no point in all these beautiful graphics and intelligent search engine optimization if you aren't making money. So what's the purpose of writing articles? To make money of course, and that is why you need the resources of article directories and ezines to help you. The fact is that the vast majority of people that try to make money online have no idea how to do it. They don't know how to advertise a product - if they have a product, that is. Most have no product and rely on other people to provide one.

There's nothing wrong with that, because practically all offline stores sell products made or produced by other people. However, if you want to sell something online you have to know how to promote it, and that is where articles can come into the equation. The proper use of article marketing using well written articles that not only attract interest, but also persuade readers to visit your chosen web page, can make the difference between success and failure (that web page need not be yours!).

Given all of that, how do you use articles to make money? Very few people are trying to find out, because if you do a keyword search using the terms 'article' and 'money' you get next to nothing. Similarly with 'articles' and 'cash'. However, a lot more are seeking information on article marketing, since 'article marketing' offers 27,000 results on the Google keyword tool, and 'marketing articles' almost twice that number. That is using Google's keyword tool based upon searches for these keywords, not the number of web pages providing the information.

There are a number of ways in which writing articles can be used online to make money, the most lucrative being getting your articles listed on Page 1 of Google for its keyword, or even its title if that has a good number of searches going for it. Don't be fooled by the number of other sites on Google providing the same information, since the search engine appears to give a higher weighting to content on article directories than that on ordinary web pages.

They might deny it, but that's the way it seems to me and others, and why we write so many articles. I get better traffic results by submitting an article to the top 20 directories than I do publishing it on my own website. So why bother with a website? A good question, although there are reasons and this is not the place to discuss them.

There are places where the proper answers to these questions are provided, and the purpose of this article is to point out that many people have the wrong outlook on articles and why they are written. They are written to make money, and to achieve that you not only need content and readers, but you need these readers to be in a continual supply: such as you will get on a search engine.

So if your article is listed on a search engine, with no other competition on the page, you will be onto a winner. Guess what? That's what you get when your article is published on an article directory, and that page is listed on a search engine. No competition: just your article and your resource sending readers to your chosen web page. Writing articles can be used to make money, but only if you understand article marketing, and the right way to go about marketing articles for profit.

Fewer people understand how to make money online writing articles than you would believe, but if you can understand how to achieve it then you have cracked two of the major problems involved in making money online: marketing and publicity.

Pete knows a lot about marketing articles properly, and his book Article Czar provides you with all the information you need to make full use of articles to make money. How To Boost Your Credibility With Your Articles To Get a Greater Response

How To Boost Your Credibility With Your Articles To Get a Greater Response
Download Free Copy Of An Obvious Truth By Armand Morin
It is important when you are writing articles to get a response from them, because after all, isn't the whole point of going through all of that effort to get someone to take an action after reading your article? There are things that you can do that will increase the response rate to your article so you can get targeted traffic to your web site. One of the ways to get very targeted and responsive traffic to your website is by building credibility into the articles you write.

The reason why you want to establish credibility with your readers is because they will be more likely to listen to you and follow your advice. It is something that definitely adds to the effectiveness of your article marketing if you use it as an element to your powerful marketing machine. Fortunately, it is not as difficult as you might think to establish this valuable credibility with your readers.

The first thing that increases your credibility is writing a quality article that either solves a problem, or shares a new way of looking at an issue. When you are writing an article that solves a problem, the more difficult the problem is you are solving, the more you boost your credibility. For articles of the typical length of 500 words or so, you may need to break your article up into a series of smaller articles because sometimes solving a difficult question can be quite long and your article can easily end up being 1500 to 2500 words long.

Sharing a new way of looking at an old problem or concept is a powerful way of establishing credibility, as long as your article is not based on untrue or inaccurate information. Establishing credibility in this way really helps you to stand out from the crowd because now it looks like you have more knowledge or experience in the subject you are writing about. This method of establishing credibility can also generate a lot of traffic in comments and emails especially if your way of looking at things is controversial. In order to build up credibility, you would need to know how to handle the controversial angle. If you know how to do it well, this method could pay off quite well in terms of getting traffic to your web site.

When your article provides a solution or solves a problem, you can indirectly explain why your product or service is the solution to their problem. The reason why you want to do indirectly discuss your product or service, is because if your article looks like a sales letter or a promotion letter, you will instantly erase any credibility that you may have built up, not to mention an increased rejection rate by publishers if your article looks like a sales letter. You would use your resource box to tell the reader that your product or service will keep the reader from having the problem discussed in the article and to go to your website to find out the complete solution.

Another way to boost your credibility is to give examples of how using your solution has made a difference. What benefits were received by using your solution? More income? Less pain? Easier outcomes? The more specific and detailed you get with the examples, the more it raises your credibility. Make sure your examples aren't full of hype or they don't create a sales pitch because that will lower your credibility with the reader.

Having a high credibility in your reader's eye definitely increases their willingness to form some kind of relationship with you, whether it be a client/customer, or a member of your mailing list. It doesn't take much to raise your credibility in your articles, however it also doesn't take much to lower it either. If you follow this simple strategy, you can be sure you will improve your credibility through your articles over time.

Article Writing

A few weeks ago I placed a small ad in a national magazine promoting my website on making money online. I received 1 order. Stumped? Well, yeah. A month later a submitted an article to the very same magazine and guess what? Yep hundreds of sales followed. Why you ask? The answer is simple. Think of how you feel when you read an advertisement. You think somebody is selling something right? Of course they are! Maybe it’s something you want, maybe its not. However when you are reading an article in a publication, it appears that the publication itself is actually endorsing your website therefore providing you with instant credibility. Let's explore the 9 steps to successful article marketing that when implemented can make you very successful making money online.

1- Identify the publication most suitable for your article. If you are writing about making money online, these may include Entrepreneur or Inc magazines. A simple Google search can help you here.

2- Review the magazine and read the articles already there. Are they funny? Are they serious? Mimicking the tone of previous articles increases the likelihood that they will print yours.

3- Review the content of many similar publications. This will give you an indication of what people are interested in reading about. If you are writing about making money online, then cater to those publications only.

4- Write! Don’t be afraid. Remember your high school English class? Decide on a topic, write an introductory paragraph and outline the points you wish to make in the remainder of the article. Remember your closing paragraph should be a synopsis of the entire article.

5- Supposing your article is on making money online. Submit your article to every publication and article service you can find that has content already about the subject of making money online

6- Add a byline or resource area where you talk a little about who you are and what you do. People want to know who is speaking to them. This is also an opportunity to provide a link to your website or 800 numbers.

7- Along the same lines of number 6, many publications and websites will allow you to submit a head shot of yourself. This lets people put an image to you words and also provides credibility.

8- Provide an opportunity for people to follow up with you. You can include an email address, phone number, website address or all three. If people are truly interested in making money online, then you must give them a way to obtain more information.

9- Lastly, DON’T GIVE UP! Many people fear writing like they fear public speaking. They feel they don’t know what to say. Writing gets easier with time. The more you do it, the better you become. Good luck!

How Article Writing and Article Marketing can Make You Money Online

How Article Writing and Article Marketing can Make You Money Online
Download Free Copy Of Article Marketing
Article writing and article marketing can make you money online: in fact they can make you a lot of money if you use article marketing properly, and your article writing is of a good standard.

There are several ways in which writing articles can make you money, although by far the most immediately effective are not the backlinks to your website from the URL in your 'author's resource', but those that actually read the articles. Too many people write about the importance of these links back from the article directories, and too few about the listings that your articles can get in Google and the other search engines.

Were readers not important, your standard of writing would be of less importance than keeping the Google LSI algorithm happy, and grammar would be relatively meaningless. However, for my own part, I get a lot more exposure from Google listings of my articles than from improved web page listings due to Google PageRank. I also get good exposure through visitors to article directories reading my articles.

So what is this exposure in numerical terms? I can't put a figure to the number of visitors through articles being listed on Page 1 of Google for their keywords, but I know that I get several hundred to over a thousand readers of each article I have published on many of the more popular article directories. It is that which provides you with immediate traffic to your website, and nothing else related to article writing or article marketing.

So, how would I rank each of the ways that article marketing can help you to make money? I am not suggesting that this is definitive, and I am certain that others would disagree with me, but this is my opinion based upon results of my articles:

1. Article directory readers clicking through to my website.

My reason for placing this as the #1 benefit is that every time I publish an article on the 100 or so directories that I commonly use, and on the various ezines to which my articles are also offered for publication, I get a good surge in sales of the products I am promoting. This benefits both me and those that purchase my products.

2. Exposure of my articles on Google and the other search engines.

This is a benefit that many are unaware of. Each of your articles that are accepted by an article directory is given its own page within the directory. Article directory pages are the same as any other web page in that they can be listed on search engines. That is why so many people are now turning to article marketing and writing articles for directory publication: if they are written well and the SEO is good, then they will be listed on Google and the rest.

Many of my articles hold four or more listings on the first page of Google, and this also gets me good exposure to visitors and more sales. However, the important factor here is the SEO and the LSI approach that caters to the spider's needs - Google's in particular - regarding web page content without repetition of keywords. It is a skill, and one that I have frequently written about, although latent semantic indexing is much misunderstood.

3. Copying of my articles to other websites.

This is a good way of getting exposure on other websites, although the person copying your article must also keep your Author's Resource Box intact, whether it is present as a separate box or simply added to the end of the article. Otherwise it is breach of copyright, and I always follow through any such breaches I find out about.

4. Google PageRank (correct spelling).

Google provides you with PageRank points for each web page that has a link back to a page on your own website. The points are given to the page linked to, not the entire domain. The points depend on the PageRank of the page providing the link and the number of other links leaving that page. The more points, the higher your Google PageRank, shown on the Google toolbar as a green line, but with a numerical rating of from 0 - 10. Nobody knows how many links you need to move from one number to the next.

Your PageRank is a factor taken into account in Google's search engine results positions. You generally need a lot of back links to make a great deal of difference, but article writing can help you to get a lot of links in a short period of time. This is a longer term benefit, and unless you are clever, your PR will drop over time due to the duplication of your articles over a large number of directories.

These are the four major ways in which article writing and using them in article marketing can make you money. There is a lot more to it than just throwing up a few articles, however, and it is the content, the way they are written and the way that articles are promoted that will bring you success. In spite of what many write and say, good grammar and spelling are important in retaining a reader's interest, and persuading them that you can help them to sell products and make money.

How To Write An Small Business Ideas Article

How To Write An Small Business Ideas Article
Download Free Copy Of Article Marketing
We are all in the know when it comes to the utter power and efficacy of article marketing. All of us can even say that article marketing is the most powerful and cost-effective online advertising technique that has been invented since the creation of the digital world.

The fact minus the fluff, if you're operating an online Small Business Ideas venture, you have to use article marketing.

Despite this maxim, one of the most asked questions I get is this: how can I write an article?

This reveals that though most online businessmen realize that they have to use article marketing, not all of them are capable enough to write an internet-ready piece of informative work.

Hence, I have enumerated some easy-to-follow steps on how you can create the most suitable article for online marketing purposes.

1. Know the topic you want to discuss with your article.

2. Don't settle for a general topic. Break it down to a more specific subject that people will be interested in. Just to illustrate, don't settle for the broad subject of "dogs." Try to determine a sub-topic that will capture the interest of the market you will be targeting. As is often the case, this sub-topic refers to a specific demand, like "dog training" for dog owners who are experiencing difficulty when it comes to living with their unruly canine companions, or "dog grooming" for cleanliness-compulsive dog owners who can't live with the smell of their untidy canine friends. You have to find a sub-topic that will click. This is critical. A lot of articles fail because they don't serve a more tangible matter.

3. Because the sub-topic should indicate a need, your article should share a solution. However, depending on the usage of your article, the answer you will discuss will vary. To illustrate, if you're going to use the article to market a Small Business Ideas, practice restraint on the answer you will share. Your aim, in such a case, is to provide the impression that you are an expert in the field, and entice your readers to consider what you have to offer. Keep this in mind as you craft your piece.

4. Formulate a catchy title that is immediately understandable but nevertheless exciting. Internet users will visit your article if they will be hooked by its title. Otherwise, no one will view what you have written.

5. Remember that each article has 3 fundamental parts: the opening, the body, and the conclusion. The introduction will state to your audience what your article is all about. You can deliver a surprising fact, a gut-wrenching statistic, or a humorous anecdote to shake your readers into knowing that yes, the author is the a true expert in the field. The body will explore the message you wish to share, of course. And the conclusion will review the problem, the given solution, as well as interject some calls to action (i.e. click my link) if applicable.

6. What is the right length for articles of this nature? I'd say that 300 to 750 words would be perfect. This will allow you to get your Small Business Ideas message out.

How to Write An Article That Promotes Your Product or Service Without Violating The Submission Terms

How to Write An Article That Promotes Your Product or Service Without Violating The Submission Terms
Download Free Copy Of Article Marketing
The benefit of writing an article is to create an interest in your product or service. This form of article marketing is best when your article is in as many places on the Internet as possible, and that usually includes article directories or published in other people's newsletters. In order for your article to appear in these places, your article must pass certain requirements these directories and e-zines set.

Most, if not all, article directories and newsletter publishers will not accept glorified sales letters as submissions and they may or may not tell you if your article has been rejected. Many article directories will have submission requirements that don't allow links in the article body, don't allow you to promote your product or service directly in the article, don't accept press releases, or don't allow affiliate links in the resource box.

With all of these submission guidelines, how does one bring attention to their product, service or website? The answer lies in thoughtful article planning. The first step is to create a title that gets people interested in reading the rest of the article. If possible, your title should include a point that showcases your product or service.

The next step is to write a first paragraph that excites the reader while the rest of the article carries them through to the resource box. The rest of the article should get them very interested in, and wanting more of what your article was about.

The last step is guiding the reader to quench their interest. This is done through a call to action in your resource box. Usually this call to action is to have them go to your website to get more information, or to find the complete answer to the question that was answered in the article.

You as the author will need to write an enticing article that promotes your product or service and still stays within the submission terms of most article directories. The best, and easiest way to do this is to answer a question or solve a problem that is common in your area of expertise. You would need to pick a question or solve a problem that really showcases your knowledge, or product in an indirect way. If you focus on a question or problem that specifically relates to your product or service, you can write the article based indirectly on what your product or service can do. This is done by providing the solution to a common problem, or answering a popular question, and then leaving the reader hanging in your concluding paragraph. You would then use your resource box as the follow-up to the last paragraph. It is in your resource box that you would provide the reader with where they can receive more of the solution to their problem. It is important that you send them to a website that is related to the article, and not use the links in your resource box for some random link popularity scheme.

It is relatively easy to write articles that promote your product and service and still keep within the submission terms of the article directories and newsletter publishers. When you learn how to write powerful titles, enticing article bodies, and powerful call-to-action resource boxes, you will have a continuous traffic machine. If you don't feel you do that now, your next step should be to beef up your article title writing skills and your resource box calls to action.

Write a Feature Article To Get More Exposure To Your Website

Write a Feature Article To Get More Exposure To Your Website
Download Free Copy Of The Expert Guide To Article Marketing
Article writing is a great way to showcase your talents and expertise. If you want to make a name for yourself and brand yourself as an expert in your niche, then articles are a great way to allow the reader to see just how much you know about your niche. Writing an article can get you some credibility, but writing a feature article puts you a bit higher on the credibility scale.

A feature article is an article that is showcased in a newsletter or on a website. It is an article that is considered valuable to it's readers and goes into a bit more depth that a typical 450 to 500 word article. Featured articles can be anywhere from 650 to 1000 words long and are definitely high quality. Featured articles aren't sales letters, or a spammy keyword-stuffed stream of consciousness to get better search engine rankings. Featured articles solve a problem common in your niche, answer frequently asked questions, or provide a different way of looking at the something in your target niche.

The best way to write one of these articles is to see what are some of the common questions people have in your target niche. You can find these questions from going to a forum in your niche, one of the groups in Yahoo or Google, or you could even put up a survey form on your site and see what kinds of questions visitors leave on your site. The last way of getting questions is the most powerful because you can really target your feature article to your site in the resource box of the article ("for more answers to questions like these go to mysite.com").

Once you have your article, you will want to get it featured in some sort of online publication. You have a choice of having it featured on a website, or in a newsletter. If you want your article featured in a newsletter, you will have a better chance approaching the publisher of the newsletter that is targeted to the audience in your niche. You can go to many of the newsletter directories and see which ones take article submissions and then approach them. You will increase your chances if you sign up for their newsletter first so you can get a good understanding of how their newsletter is structured, and what kind of articles they publish in their newsletter. It will also give you something to talk to the publisher about in regards to their newsletter. What did you like about the article? What didn't you like? This will prove you are there for more than just a "what can you give me" mentality. If you have some other articles that have been published in other newsletters, you can share this information with the publisher as well.

If you are looking to have your article featured on a website in your niche, a good way to find websites is to do a search for them in the search engines. Doing the following search string will give you a list of websites that publish featured articles: "<>" +"featured articles". You can then go to the websites and see if they publish articles from other authors. Once you find a website, you can take a similar approach of the Webmaster that you did with the publisher. You would share with them what you liked about their website and ask them if they would like to publish any of your articles. If you present your request in a way that will show the webmaster the benefit they will get out of publishing your article on their website, you will increase your chances of having your article published.

Having your articles featured on a website or in a newsletter, you give you additional credibility in your niche. Featured articles should be high quality and provide value to the visitor of the website or subscriber of the newsletter. The style of approach you take with the Webmaster or publisher also makes a difference in whether or not you can get your articles featured.

Learn how to write powerful articles that will generate traffic to your website and will also generate revenue for your business. It's easier than you might think when you have a system to write articles that generate revenue.

Top Home Businesses: More Handy Tips About Writing Articles

Top Home Businesses: More Handy Tips About Writing Articles
Download Free Copy Of The Expert Guide To Article Marketing
We've discussed some of the very sound reasons why you should learn to write articles, in order to grow your online business into one of the top home businesses. It's been established that this is an extremely effective means of drawing traffic to your website, and you'll be surprised how easily the words will flow, once you get rolling.

Firstly, format your articles to comply with the standards required by the Directories:

1. Use a very simple, plain font, such as Arial and use about size 12. The editors will not be impressed by a fancy font, which may interfere with the conversion into a text format.

2. Format your lines to about 50 characters per line, including spaces. This fits the most common line sizes used by the Article Directories.

3. Plan your article to be between about 450 and 600 words long. Remember that your readers are looking for clear, concise information. Anything too long may discourage them from reading the whole article, yet it must be long enough to cover your subject matter.

4. Use simple, plain language that's easy to read and to understand. You'll not win any points for flowery language, and complicated sentence structures. As a golden rule, keep paragraphs quite short; no more than about three sentences.

5. If you use numbers or bullet points for a list of items, separate items by using line spaces, as has been done in this article. This is to handle the auto-format function used by some directories. The auto-format box should then be un-checked.

A suggested plan is to jot down a brief framework for your article, starting with a title which clearly covers your subject matter. Remember that your potential readers are looking for useful information about something, so your title should be clear, eye-catching and should aptly summarize the content. They'll ask themselves,"Do I want to read this?" The answer is more likely to be affirmative if the title is eye-catching, and if it implies that the content will be useful to the reader.

You'll need to start off with an introductory paragraph, which briefly indicates the subject matter or content of your article. The introduction can also be used where there's a need for a brief summary of the article, as required by some directories.

Proofread your article several times before submission, checking especially for spelling and grammatical errors. You have the assistance of the spell-check and word count to assist you through the process .You'll not have your article published if it's littered with spelling errors and poor grammar or punctuation.

Your final paragraph should be some form of conclusion, and may include a final point of information or advice.

In conclusion, proofread once more! You'll want to be recognized for the quality of your articles, and become known by the directories. This won't happen if components of your work are sub-standard, or if your articles don't adhere to the standards laid down by the main directories.

I trust that this information will be useful to you in starting off in this all-important aspect of promoting your business.

In the busy world of the home business owner it is easy to become over whelmed with all the day to day tasks. Each morning as you get ready for the day you realize you have to create an article, update your blogs, post content to you social networking sites and it all seems to be too much. You wonder how you're going to get all this work done.

Answer, Hire A Ghost Writer.

There are many professional well qualified ghost writers you can contact all over the internet. You can start by posting a project with Elance.com or Guru.com. You can post a job request with Craigslist, or go to Warrior Forum they have a whole section devoted to copywriting where you can create a post for what you're looking for.

If you're not familiar with these outsourcing services they are very simple to use. With Elance.com and Guru.com you post a project defining what you're looking for and there are providers who search the database daily looking for work. These online services are nice because they allow you to see reviews from other people on who have used his provider's service and gives you feed back on their work.

On Craigslist and Warrior Forum just simply put out a request in the form of a job you need completed and you will have responses almost immediately.

It is always important to be clear in what you are hiring for. In other words when defining the project or job make sure the requirements are clear. Below is a good list to follow when establishing your project.

Determine the length, in number of words or pages you are requesting to be written for you.

Define clearly the content and purpose of your project, i.e.. web content, search engine optimized web content, online article, how-to report, ebook, or white paper. By clarifying your home business opportunity and document needs insures you will get the right type of writer biding the project.

Define format delivery requirements. Are you looking for a website, MS Word document, pdf format, html.

Be very clear on the deadline. If you have an exact date by which you need your project state that. This will save you a great deal of stress in the future and it allows the provided to know if they can fit the project in their schedule.

You will soon begin receiving bids. Review those bids to see if they can meet your needs. Caution here, the lowest bidder does not always mean the best deal. As my dad use to say "you get what you pay for".

A good service provider will tell you in their bid exactly what services they will provide and how much money and within what time frame. If those key items are not contained in the bid, move on.

As soon as you have accepted a bid, then leave them to do there job. Check in periodically for status, but relax and feel the stress of these day to day tasks being lifted off your shoulders. Now work on things that make real profits for your home based business.

How To Drive Traffic

How To Drive Traffic
Download Free Copy Of 7 Totally Free Ways To Get More Traffic
Are you having difficulty getting noticed online? Does your bank account reflect this? Do you feel like you have tried everything? Are you at your wits end? If you are, you're not alone. Many thousands of marketers experience the same frustrations every day. Online marketing is not easy!

If you're looking for a constant easy way to bring in traffic have you ever thought about article marketing?

Article marketing is a great way to attract prospects to your online business. Once you apply this strategy and after a little practice it's not difficult to get people interested in your product knocking at your door or in this case your web site or blog. One of my favorite things about article marketing is that I can upload it and forget it! Once your article is written and published correctly it will bring you traffic for a long time.

An example of this was back in January of this year when I wrote an article on golf. Now January is probably not the best time to write an article on golf because if your golf course is like mine, it's usually covered in snow. However it does not cost anything to write an article online so even though I had fun writing it in January my golf article drew very little attention. Until Now! Now as I write this it's June and much to my surprise my article is very popular. All anyone interested in golf has to do is put the key word which in this case is golf into their browser and regardless of how long ago the article was written it will still appear.

Article marketing has been around a long time and has now found its way online because it's always a win - win situation. It's also very useful in search engine optimization for your online site. As a side benefit online articles make great link backs!

You begin by writing the article and then having the article directory publish the article which is either at little or no cost. By finding a keyword geared towards your niche and targeting your audience, your content will get noticed. Your name will be seen and you will look like the expert in whatever niche that you are in. From a publishers point of view it's also a great idea because they get free content.

Keep your articles short and to the point. You do not want to lose the reader's interest. One technique that works well is to pinpoint a problem that your reader is having within your article. What you're looking to do is get your reader compelled and to the point of shaking his or her head in agreement by asking leading questions. Once you have them realizing that something in their life is not quite right, you supply the solution by taking them to your resource box.

Besides writing strong content, the key thing in getting an article to work for you is by having a strong resource box. A resource box comes at the end of an article, gives some information about the author and most importantly directs the reader in what to do next. The resource box also may include a sales pitch, an offer and your web site or blog.

One thing that I also find very helpful is within your resource box to offer something for free. An e-book or report usually works well. At this point you are beginning to build a relationship with your reader. People don't like to be sold, but eventually they will buy from a friend.

When used consistently and directed at the right audience article marketing can be very beneficial, not only to the publisher of the article, but to you the business owner as well.

Article writing is the best way to promote your website and products. As an added bonus, this method can boost your sales without having to spend a cent. It is one of the easiest methods to generate traffic, potentially doubling or even tripling your income.

But how does this work? Write original, content rich articles that relate to your website and submit them to article directories. Each one of your articles will have a link to your site in the author's resource box. This will boost your traffic flow in a number of ways:

- If the people who read your articles enjoy what they are reading, then they will be intrigued enough to click on your link to see what your site has to offer.

- Other webmasters can re-publish your articles to add fresh content to their websites. This will not only better their search engine ranking, but it will do the same for you.

- Each time your articles are republished, with more and more of them appearing on various websites, the number of links to your site increases too. Search engines place a lot of significance on incoming links. The more links your site has, the more importance search engines attach to it. This in turn means your website will achieve a higher placement in the search results.

- Search engines not only index websites, they also index published articles. When someone types in a search for a specific keyword, the search engines display all sites and articles containing that particular phrase. This is great, especially for the new online business owner as your website may not rank high enough to be noticed, but more than likely many of your articles will.

With an increasing number of people taking their buying needs online, having your site seen through articles is the best way of showing web browsers what you have to offer.

Visitors that come across your articles may just be stopping by for a browse, but if they like your products then potentially they may become customers in the future.

On the other hand there are those who are specific about what product they are after, but with so many choices online, are yet undecided. If your articles can grab the attention of the reader, then most likely they will be interested enough to visit your site and be enticed by the products or services you are offering.

You have nothing to lose, other than maybe half an hour of your time to write and submit an article, but the benefits will prove to be amazing. Before you know it, your site will be receiving more visitors than it's ever had. No wonder so many webmasters are taking the time to submit their articles - because article writing is the best way to promote your website.

How To Book Huge Profits With Revenue Sharing Sites

There are people who want to become rich overnight using the internet.

They do become rich too, in some of the cases. Some of them are satisfied with making a little extra money every month. If you happen to be one of them, you’ve come to the right place. Not all people are willing to have their own websites to subscribe articles to. So, why not subscribe to revenue sharing sites which are willing to pay you that extra sum of money they make. In other words, why not book huge profits with revenue sharing sites!

If you can write articles with 250-500 words and submit them every month to revenue sharing sites, you may not become rich but you will get that extra sum of money every month.

Revenue Sharing Site vis-à-vis Traditional Article Directory Site

Traditional article directory sites post their ads along with articles the people submit. So, each time a visitor clicks on an ad, the sites make money. They also post ads along with the articles that people submit, but they share the income that arises from advertisements.

So, you can submit articles to both the traditional sites and revenue sharing sites like I do.

If you wish to earn the maximum amount of money that you can with the revenue sharing sites, just submit the maximum number of articles that you can. There is no limit to the maximum number of articles that you can submit. I try to post an article at least every day and make at least $20 a month.

The only requirement for posting your articles to these revenue sharing sites is to have an AdSense account for these websites. In case you have not registered for one of these sites, there are some links that allow you to register for AdSense.

Making Money Online Without A Website

There are some people who send mails to me saying that they would like to make some extra money each month without paying for a website. If you are one of those people, then you have come to the right place.

A revenue sharing site looks almost similar as a traditional article directory. A traditional article directory is a site where people post their articles. Visitors then access these articles. The site does not charge for the articles that people submit and does the visitor pay anything to these sites. People search these articles for research, information or content on these websites. The directories make money by posting advertisements along with these articles and keep all of the money that the advertisements bring in.

Book Huge Profits With Revenue Sharing Sites

A revenue sharing site is almost similar to a traditional article directory except with one major difference. Here too, the visitor accesses the articles that people posts on their sites. The site does not charge anything for the article from the people nor does the visitor pay anything for these sites. The directory makes money by posting advertisements along with these articles but instead of keeping the money from these advertisements all to itself; it shares either 100% or 80% of these depending upon its policies.

In order to make more money rather than just keeping a few cents, it makes sense to keep posting the articles on a regular basis to several different sites. So, why not book huge profits with revenue sharing sites by registering with AdSense, and submitting them to several different revenue sharing sites.

Article Writing – Can It Generate Traffic?

Get Free Copy of Derek Gehl's Six Steps You Need To Follow To Guarantee The Success Of Your Online Business! & Affiliate Marketer's Handbook
Traffic And Profits Are Directly Proportional

The intention of anyone who starts an online business is to bring in enough traffic that will convert into sales. There are various strategies that can be used to reach these people so that they are aware that their requirements can be fulfilled by this business. One of the simplest ways to do this is by writing articles and posting them at appropriate locations across the web and submitting them at niche article directories. This is also called article marketing since it provides information to people about niche topics that they are especially interested in, in addition to being relevant to the product or service on offer. Articles cultivate trust in their readers, increasing their chances of visiting the website.

Article Writing As An Advertising Method

Articles are generally regarded as chunks of information. What turns them into highly effective advertising tools is the author’s bio or the resource box at the end of the article. This is the section of the article which has details about the writer of the article, their occupation and a link to the original website so that visitors can click it to go there. Article writing is a great way to generate quality targeted traffic to a website especially if the reader finds the information valuable.

How To Write A Good Article?

Article writing is not the most difficult task in the world. However, it does require some thought and planning. The main points to consider are:

Choice of topic – article writing requires some research to get the facts right. Specific topics pertaining to the website’s theme make more sense since they will reach the niche market being targeted. Research will reveal what kind of information the target market is seeking.

Length of article – in general articles that are too long can make the reader lose interest after the initial enthusiasm. So it is best to stick with articles that are not more than 500-600 words length. Alternately, articles that are too short can also be frustrating to the reader and they might leave in a hurry to look elsewhere for the information.

Original content – though it is possible to buy existing articles, it is always recommended to publish original content because duplicate content can get the marketer into trouble with the search engines. Visitors also get bored looking at the same stuff in different places. Original content always works.

Incorporating relevant keywords – articles are an appropriate location for keywords related to the product because it is through these that the visitors actually land at the website.

Style of writing – must be natural and appealing to the readers. The language must be understood with ease. Using complex jargon can be irritating, as everyone does not have the same level of aptitude for the language. Short simple sentences that convey the meaning clearly are in order. In fact, it is advisable to use the kind of phraseology that the niche market is familiar with. This creates a connection between the author and the reader, building credibility, trust and bring traffic to the website, so that the marketer can make money online.

This one goes without saying – using spell check and grammar check. Not surprisingly, people do not trust a site that is full of errors in spelling and grammar because it looks like the owner did not pay enough attention.

Finally a good attention-grabbing headline that will encourage readers to continue reading is a must. Plenty of bulleted points also make it easy to read.

Benefits Of Article Writing

The obvious benefit of article writing is the targeted traffic to the website. Apart from this, it establishes the writer as a credible expert in the field, so that trust is built gradually. Good articles increase the rank of the website with visitors wanting to come back frequently. Another great use of articles is back links. Probably the only hassle with article writing is that it consumes time and effort. But this can be easily overcome by outsourcing. Several guides on how to make money online devote a large section to the importance of article writing, and not without good reason. Articles are an excellent way to promote a website and profit from it.

Why Content Has Been Crowned As The King?

Search Engines Love Unique Content

Website positioning has always been a prime concern of Internet marketing. To get the search engines to even notice a website, content is the main factor to pay attention to. There are many websites that try to get by with minimal content with the hope that the visitors will flow in automatically. But that is not how it happens. In many cases, the lack of quality content only serves to lose search engine rankings and more crucially, prospective customers in the form of targeted traffic. The best thing about using quality content to market a website and to bring in the profits is that it is easy and inexpensive, and easily accessible. Quality content can be written in-house or outsourced to professionals.

The Importance Of Good Website Content

Quality content is an inexpensive advertising strategy for websites. It is an integral part of the website itself. For an Internet advertising campaign to be fruitful, keyword research is essential, along with links, competitor knowledge and optimized content. Though there are several other factors that play a part in the success of a website, content is the leading factor. The advantage with quality content is – it can make a big difference between success and failure.

When a website has specific content focused at its niche market, search engines find it easy to bring it up as relevant to the search results. Even though it is important to have a website that is search engine friendly, it is even more important to have content that targets at customers. Some ways to do this is through article writing, blog postings, comments at forums, ebooks, etc.

What Constitutes Good Content?

Some points to bear in mind to ensure that the website content is good:

The content must relate to the website’s products or services. Care must be taken to see that too many products are not highlighted on the same page. This not only creates a clutter on the web page, but also defeats the purpose of writing keyword rich content. Therefore, content with the right keyword density preferably with one web page per product is best. This will also help in getting good search engine rankings.

All through the website, the main keywords must be incorporated at the right density. Getting the right keywords requires some research.

Good content must always persuade visitors into taking some form of action. This could be to know more about a product or service or to go to the next level so that they are closer to buying than before. The message, however, must be relevant.

In order to make money online, there must be adequate information about the product for the visitor to see. Here, it is always better to summarize at the beginning what the page is all about so that those who are in a hurry will still absorb the purpose of the content in the same way as those who read the entire page. Another idea is to have a web page where short summaries are provided with links to the detailed information. There is nothing worse than information overload for a visitor, driving them away from the site forever.

By including fresh content in the form of how-to articles, tips etc. at frequent intervals it will ensure that visitors come back often for more, along with the search engines. This content must preferably be relevant to the website’s theme, its products or services. Adding information that relates to the theme also adds value for the visitor.

Even if a visitor does not instantly result in a sale, if they are attracted enough by the content on the site, there’s a good chance they will come back to the website to buy and also recommend it to others. Experts advise that some change to the content on the website on a daily basis can help in a big way.

Most products that focus on how to make money online lay a lot of emphasis on quality content with the relevant keywords both for the purpose of attracting visitors, as well as the search engines. Content that is outdated must be removed or at least archived. Fresh content that is original is the best.
