Increase Website Profit Online with Online SEO and Marketing Content
Download Free Copy Of The Butterfly Marketing Manuscript-The Leaked Chapter
You can easily increase you website profit online if you have the right marketing content and use good online SEO to promote it. The benefit of good online search engine optimization is that it can earn you an avalanche of free traffic through high search engine listings, while at the same time pointing prospects to some good online content.
The question is what is that content, and what online SEO should you be using? The answer to the first part of that question is obvious: the content you use must relate to the topic of your web page, and each web page must be optimized for one keyword, and one keyword only. Where most people fail with their online marketing is that they try to be all things to all people, and are not specific enough in targeting prospects to the right website pages.
To increase web profit online, it is essential that your marketing content is highly focused to the topic or product in hand, and that your online SEO is spot on, missing none of the elementary aspects of SEO, while taking advantage of the more advanced search engine optimization techniques that the vast majority either ignore or are unaware of. You can't do much about other people's ignorance, but you can sure take advantage of it!
Doing so, however, might take some specialized information on online SEO techniques and how to apply them to your advantage. You will no doubt be aware of the simple Meta tag rules, and how to use heading tags in your body content, but how are you with internal linking strategies, or being able to lead spiders by the nose around your whole website exactly as you want them to visit each page? No? Then you have a lot to learn.
Intimate knowledge and understanding of search engine optimization techniques such as the correct use of the 'nofollow' and 'noindex' tags can be critical to your success. The same is true of an understanding of latent semantic analysis and how Google is applying it to the Bigdaddy algorithm. How about the correct use of images, video and Flash? Are you fully conversant of how Google looks upon these? Probably not, because it might surprise you to know that Flash is not what is used to be in the eyes of Google spiders, and that the vast majority still does not know how to properly use images to their maximum benefit.
Marketing content is also very important, and writing articles is an excellent way to generate content both for your web pages and to use on article directories to advertise them. You will sell nothing if your web pages get no visitors, and two of the best ways to achieve that are to get a good listing on search engines for your main keyword and to publish articles that contain an advert for the relevant web pages in the author's resource.
Marketing content can also be in the form of well written and SEO optimized articles, and in order to increase web profit online you must have good search engine optimized marketing content. Without that you are dead in the water, because your web pages will never be listed on Google, which is the most important of the search engines.
So, focus on your online SEO and your marketing content and you will increase your web profit online as a result of that. It is not as simple as you might have been led to believe, but if you can find the right mentor then you should find it a fairly simple task as long as you have a reasonable product and know how to market it online.
For precise details on how to increase web profit online by the use of good online SEO and marketing content, check out Pete's book SEOcious on http://www.improved-search-engine-rank.com where you will also find other information that will help you to succeed.

Is MSN Better for Business than Google?
Is MSN Better for Business than Google?
Download Free Copy Of Internet Business For Newbies
Most search engine comparison tables will show you usage statistics that are something like this:
64% Google
14% Yahoo
14% MSN
08% AOL, All the Web, and all others combined
Those are simple search engine usage statistics. While they might be accurate as far as how much a search engine is used there is a much bigger picture to consider, especially if you own a business Website.
Let me give you an example. I just met with a local florist last month to help him figure out why his pay-per-click numbers seemed so skewed. Although 70% of his visits came from Google Adsense, only 30% of his sales came from those leads. While MSN only supplied 28% of his traffic, it generated 64% of his sales. That's almost exactly opposite what you would assume. Why is this?
There are a number of reasons but here are the main ones...
1) MSN is the default search engine on any new Windows installation. With more people aged 55 plus getting new computers, they generally stick with the default home page of MSN.com.
2) MSN is often the preferred choice for many small business owners and working professionals due to the information available at a glance on the MSN.com home page, such as stock info, breaking news, and anything else you want to customize.
3) MSN has a higher number of users in the age specific financial sweet zones of 34 to 54 and 55 plus than Yahoo or Google. MSN also has more income earners between $30K and $100K than Google or Yahoo.
And a bit more generally, Google seems to be the cool place where kids, teens and tweens go for info. That's perfect if your business caters to this market but if you're looking for the credit card holder who has better stuff to do than surf the Web and wants to make the purchase and move on, then MSN is a good bet.
So how can you start to benefit in time for the holidays? (And yes. I know Thanksgiving is this week.) Here are your best two bets:
The Pay Per Click Method
You can setup an adCenter account at https://adcenter.microsoft.com/ and start getting targeted traffic right away. The drawback of course, is that you are paying for leads. The upside is that the chances of having kids click on your links just out of curiosity are pretty slim.
Organic Search Engine Optimization
MSN is the easiest search engine of all to get natural search engine ranking on and one of the more famous SEO experts, Dave Kelly, even developed a method specifically to get on top of MSN quickly, called Search Engine Loophole http://www.SELoophole.com ($67.) BTW, I found it also works on Yahoo for quick top 3 results.
So, to summarize, it's worth it to take a closer look at MSN. While it might not be the most popular in the world, chances are it is popular with those who want to buy what you are selling.

Search Engine Optimization for Your Capture Page
Search Engine Optimization for Your Capture Page

Everyone in direct sales that has a replicated website must have a capture page for differentiation purposes. Whether you're in real estate, insurance, network marketing, or any other direct selling field, you probably know the importance of branding yourself to keep yourself apart from others. It's also a great tool to build a prospecting list. Here's how to use simple search engine optimization to get your landing page to the top of Google, Yahoo, MSN, or any of the others.
I should first apologize to those more advanced web page designers and internet marketers that have gotten into this article accidently from my slick headline. This article is about basic webpage optimization. I will hope for your forgiveness also for this second transgression: I'm showing newbies just how easy it is to build a webpage for practically any product, service, or other endeavor. This means you can't charge them thousands of dollars anymore unless they are just completely overwhelmed in the time schedules.
In general, the major search engines function in the same way. They look for these things to identify the theme of a web page:
URL: The URL is the web address of a web page. Including relevant keywords in the page URL can help your rankings, so work with your webmaster (if you still have one after reading this) to create static URLs with keywords included. Don't get crazy, though - don't try to have 10 different keywords in a URL.
Page Title: The page title is the text that appears in the blue bar at the top of your browser. A search engine uses the page title (also called the title tag) to identify pages and show users the relevance of the page. The page title also shows up as the link when a search result is returned. Keep title tags short and precise, between 8-9 words. Every page should have a unique and relevant page title.
Metadata: Okay, you should know that meta tags aren't as important as they used to be. But including your main keywords in your page metadata can help Google differentiate between different pages. Make sure your metadata is specific to each individual page and that it doesn't include any words that are not related to the text of that page.
Text: The content of the page should be relevant to the topic mentioned in your title tag, metadata and URL. Make sure you mention your keywords as well as other words that relate to the basic theme of the page. The main idea is to have each page stay in its own theme.
Lots of people focus on things like keyword density (the number of times the keyword is mentioned) and keyword patterns (where the keyword is found, like in the first paragraph, first sentence, last sentence, etc.). Google algorithms continue to become more intelligent, and in my opinion, your best strategy (especially for the long term) is to write your content with the user in mind. Write for your visitors and you will almost always create content that Google "likes" too.
Think of it this way: Being number one in the search rankings is important, but if you're number two and you've optimized your content for the user, you'll probably get more repeat visitors and sales than if you create pages focusing exclusively on getting better search rankings. Website visitors can see right through these techniques.
If you currently operate a website, your webmaster can help you with each of the items above.
If you're developing a new site, be sure your site is set up properly from the beginning, or from the ground up. Make sure you can create title tags for each page, name each page with a separate URL, and include page specific metadata. The last thing you'll want to do is to go back later and correct any basic site structure problems that you could have done right the first time (That last sentence should not be restricted to SEO, but applied to other areas of life and work!).If all this just seems like too much work, here's a great service that does most of the work for you without costing you an arm and a leg. www.iwantwebpages.com

Adsense and SEO

Amongst all the tricks and secrets you may have heard from various gurus, one of the main areas for better traffic when optimizing your site for Adsense is a clear and well defined foundation of search engine optimization.
The trend at the moment is working with social networking and social bookmarking sites, putting backlinks upon them and getting traffic. The backlinks help bolster your page rank and increase the search engines sense of 'authority' your web pages have. It is this return visit the search engine crawlers make when following the links that are important.
If your web page isn't sensibly optimized for the keyword phrase, the backlink isn't going to be worth much. However if the crawler meets your web page with a sense of well organized quality, your website's backlink is worth considerably more.
Let's assume for one moment that you've put an 'anchor text' for "property in Kensington" upon one of your blogs on a social network. This blog's backlink points back to a page that has a page extension called "property in London" and both the meta tag title and headings tags refer to "apartments in London". Apart from a human visitor being confused, the search engine crawler can't find the words "property in Kensington" and therefore stops crawling and leaves your site. Google being the biggest search engine, may not even show that backlink because of irrelevance.
One backlink to a quality website has more value than 20 backlinks to a poorly optimized site. 18 months ago the story was different, webmasters were able to trick the search engines with a 1,000 backlinks obtained with various 'black hat' methods, and also get ranked higher than a quality site. Crazy growth in websites and backlinks throw up a question mark to the search engines, and more recently have been getting human visits from the search engines to determine what is going on.
If you build your Adsense website correctly from the outset, you will receive dividends in the long term.
Building your Adsense website is a long term strategy and creating a good SEO foundation is imperative. I hope that the one tip above has made you consider tweaking your website for better optimization.
Adsense can be a good money earner if you approach it right, as a business, and not as a temporary flirtation with online income. My own main tip is not to do too much too soon.

The starting point for any successful search engine optimisation campaign is to start right at the beginning. Use the search engines to firstly find your competitors, secondly to look at the keywords and search terms they are organically marketing, and finally to use this information to create a list of keywords and search terms which are appropriate to your business. The next stage of the Search engine optimisation process is to create a website category tree using your keyword list. Use the category tree to build the navigation of your website.

Finally the more pages you have the more opportunities you have to appear under more keywords and search terms. Keep adding new pages to your site, target the pages to new markets, and make every page unique. Don't duplicate content.
The next stage to maximising your site organic, search engine optimisation conversion will be to commence a link building campaign. This will need to be a combination of social media marketing, one way link building, article submission, directory submission and social media bookmarking.

Creating Web Buzz With SEO
Creating Web Buzz With SEO
Download Free Copy Of 14 Point Web Copy Analysis
We've all had the experience of looking for specific information on the Internet, typing what seems like a pretty clear phrase into the search bar, and getting a mix of useful and not-so-useful websites on the results page. Wading through irrelevant sites is annoying, especially when they seem so promising from the description. Generally, more useful sites are near the top of the list. So put the shoe on the other foot: do you want to be a source of irritation in your potential customer's search efforts, or the knight in shining armor at the top of the page? What you need, my friend, is a strong SEO campaign.
SEO is about making your site as "findable" as possible in the vast sea of websites on the World Wide Web, which means configuring them so search engines like Google, Yahoo, Alta Vista, Ask, Lycos and others can find your information easily and index it in their directories. Sites near the top of a search engine results page (SERP) are said to have high page rank, and they tend to be more relevant. Numerous studies - from eye-tracking to click-through rates - have shown that websites in the top few positions of SERP's get the greatest traffic. Those lower down the list get lonely, and many users don't even bother with page 2 or beyond.
Making a website search engine friendly requires a specialized and ever-changing set of expertise. A good SEO campaign takes a lot of attention, time and maintenance. Many businesses hire companies that specialize in SEO to design and monitor their campaigns, often with multi-year service plans. It's not a bad option for companies heavily invested in their websites. The key concept in web marketing is "target audience". An optimized site allows search engines to pair your site with web users who are looking for what you have to offer.
Search Engines work by deploying little bits of code or programs, called "robots" or "spiders", that "crawl" the Internet scanning and archiving information from as many websites as possible. Sometimes called "organic" SEO, the basic idea is to put various elements in place to allow Search Engines to find your information on their own.
One of the top SEO tactics is clear, well-written text. Search Engines exist to help users find relevant sites. Their first priority is to scan text. The more informative, organized and useful your content is, the more legitimate it will be to both users and Search Engines. You don't have to write a book, but you need enough content to get your message across and incorporate keywords, another important text-based SEO tactic. Keywords are short phrases that pinpoint what your site offers. Search engines use them to pair your site with the search terms people type into their browser. Keywords should appear at least once in the body of your web text.
Links are a crucial yet often abused SEO technique. Search engines view links to or from other websites, and to some extent between pages of the same site, as a "popularity vote". But a link to your Uncle Bob's fishing trip pictures will work against you unless the site you're optimizing has something to do with Uncle Bob, fishing, or the lake in question. Descriptive anchor text (the underscored or highlighted "hot" words you click on to get to a definition, article, or other website) is preferable to nonspecific phrases (like "click here") or long web addresses.
In short, links must be relevant. A link to your site is better than a link from your site, and the more popular or higher ranking the source of the link, the better. Link building is like any other relationship: it takes time and has its own etiquette. A good web design or SEO company should know how to make links work for, not against, your page rank.
Coding issues can also affect SEO. All websites should have a title, description, and a few keywords in the back-end coding. These are known as metatags. Search engines vary in how much they use metatags, but it's a good idea to have them in place.
Functionality (how well your website does what its supposed to) plays a significant role in SEO. As a rule of thumb, anything annoying to a user will also annoy the search engines. Large image files that take a long time to load, sites that don't work across multiple browsers, broken links, poorly formatted text, videos or audio files that don't work, websites that are not properly maintained or updated, and a host of other functionality issues can have a negative impact on page rank.
One of the most direct ways to get your site indexed is to submit it manually to the individual search engines. This is particularly useful for new, re-designed or updated sites. You can review the submission policies and other information available on the websites of the major search engines. They'll tell you what they consider good and bad form.
If SEO is important to you, and it should be, make sure your web designer understands how it works. Blogs, online publishing and pay-per-click campaigns can also be effective, provided you know what you're doing. Unfortunately, not all web designers do. Good SEO is the best way to ensure ROI, so make sure you ask the right questions when selecting a web designer.

Just Because You Don't Want To Hear It, Doesn't Mean It Isn't True
Just Because You Don't Want To Hear It, Doesn't Mean It Isn't True
Download Free Copy Of An Obvious Truth By Armand Morin
This article may not make me real popular with many site owners, but it is the honest truth.
So many people want top rankings but they aren't truly prepared to do what it takes to get those top rankings.
The truth is the foundation of your site is important to the success of your SEO campaign. Not all sites are built "SEO Friendly" and those errors need to be corrected or you are limiting your rankings potential.
I understand that it is no fun at all to have spent a lot of money or time on a site that looks great only to find out that the back-end is not search engine friendly at all.
Let me take a quick minute to explain what "search engine friendly" means: a site with clean code that does not block the spiders from crawling it, and does not consist of fundamental elements that the engines have a problem with.
Here are just a few of the common search engine friendly issues:
- CSS or java script on-page
- Site is built in frames
- URLs are dynamic with tons of parameters in the URL
- Site is built with session IDs
- Extraneous code which the engines have to crawl through before they get to your content
- Navigation the engines can't follow
- The site was built in a SiteBuilder that doesn't allow for proper code or optimization
So, as I said, it is difficult when you find out the site isn't designed to be SEO friendly and that it's going to take some work to fix things. However, just because you don't want to hear it doesn't mean it's not true. And the other truth is that if you are not willing to have the issues corrected, you are going to be limiting your own results in the engines.
Adding content and getting links is definitely a good idea but without a solid foundation you are going to limit the benefit of that work and hinder your rankings.
There are some things in life we can avoid, and there are other things that hurt us too much if we continue to avoid them. If you aren't sure if your site is search engine friendly, it's a good idea to find out quickly and address the problem. It isn't going to go away and it could actually get worse as the engines continue to tweak things and demand more from sites.

Improved Search Engine Ranking and How to get Listed on Google
Improved Search Engine Ranking and How to get Listed on Google
Download Free Copy Of Six Steps To Six Figures
If you want to get an improved search engine ranking, and learn how to get listed on Google the easy and quick way, think about SEO. Search engine optimization is how other web pages get listed, and if you can get your URL onto another web page that is itself listed, then you are highly likely to have that URL listed itself.
Of course, getting a quick fast-track listing is not the whole battle. It is only the first foray, and there is still a lot of work to be done, but at least just having a search engine spider visiting your website is a step in the right direction, and one that many websites wait weeks for. It is only through knowing how search engines work, and how they crawl other web pages, that can get you a quick listing.
The thing is, your page might be visited by a robot, but that does not guarantee a listing. To be listed a page has to have a degree of relevance to a specific search term, or keyword. Websites are not just listed in some mythical library index, but individual web pages can be for specific word combinations.
These words are known as keywords, and if a search engine user uses that specific form of words, then the search engine (let's say Google from now on for simplicity) will list each web page that contains these words in an order based upon Google's rating of the relevance of the content of that page to keyword.
There are many factors taken into account in calculating that relevance - over 100 in fact - though nobody but selected Google employees know exactly how many. It is known that the following are included:
Keyword usage: the way you use the keywords on your web page, and how often they appear. If they appear too frequently, your site will be downgraded for keyword abuse, or spamming, and if too infrequently, its relevance will be considered low.
Other vocabulary: the vocabulary on your page will be analyzed by Google's algorithm to determine how it relates to the keyword. The more relevance, then the more relevance the page will be considered to the search term used by the Google customer. Hence, the higher your listing.
Links: Google will calculate how many links are coming into the web page from other web pages, the relevance of these other web pages to the keyword, and also the PageRank of these linking pages. PageRank is a measure of the number of other web pages that link to the page in question.
On-Page Optimization: There are certain aspects of your page formatting that inform robots of the important text on your page. Such HTML tags as the Title tag, H1 Heading tags and other formatting such as bold, underlined and italicized text tell the spider what you consider to be the theme of your page.
These are only four aspects of over 100 that determine your search engine listing position, and nobody knows them all. It takes a combination of experience and analysis to understand as many as possible, and the more you are aware of, the more you can do to get listed on Google, and achieve an improved search engine ranking for your website.

"SEO On A Budget" Tips
"SEO On A Budget" Tips
Download Free Copy Of 14 Point Web Copy Analysis By Yanik Silver
I am often asked if small businesses have a chance at competing in the search engines and the answer is a resounding YES.
It is true small businesses face some challenges that large companies may not. Small businesses typically have smaller budgets, less staff and more pressure as they try to get as much done as they can with a small team. It is true that those things do present a challenge however they do not preclude you from getting top rankings. There is actually an upside here as well! Many people do not realize it, but these small businesses also have some advantages.
Small business usually have less red tape and are free to try different things out and see what really works for them. They can experiment.
They can usually get things done quicker - with decisions not getting hung up in a bureaucratic mess internally.
So many large companies have more money to spend but it doesn't get spent because they are so hung up on every detail and getting every little thing approved.
The truth is SEO doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg - there are ways you can get things done and get into the top of the engines without blowing your budget.
And the truth is any action is better than no action. So even if you can't afford the Cadillac version with every bell and whistle you can still get some things done and begin to better position your site.
Tips for getting top rankings on a budget...
1. Find a company that specializes in smaller businesses that will work with a budget of $300 - $500 per month.
2. Find a company that offers custom packages so you don't have to pay for things you don't need - get a custom package that meets your needs and maximizes your budget to get the best results that are most suited to you.
3. Learn to do some of it yourself - you could try Blogging, link building or article syndication yourself and save some money there.
4. Find a company that is reputable with proven results so your budget isn't wasted on a company that won't deliver.
5. Contact an SEO Firm sooner rather than later - especially if you are redesigning your site or making changes on your own. Some site owners dig themselves into a hole with sites that are not able to get indexed and ranked. The longer you sit in this hole, the more it may cost you to dig out.
6. If you really can't afford any professional services, buy a (reputable) book and some basic consultation or a site review to get you started and handle your SEO yourself. It may not be perfect but with the right guidance you can make some progress on your own. Please note that this option doesn't help if you are only fooling yourself - if you don't really have the time or knowledge to get in and work with code, then you won't get anything out of this option. Be honest with yourself when considering this option.
The most important thing you can do is take action and find out what you can afford and what you can do yourself. Don't assume that nothing can be done. You'll miss out on opportunities and rankings that could be yours.

Improve Search Engine Rankings Using Longtailed Keywords
Improve Search Engine Rankings Using Longtailed Keywords
Download Free Copy Of Killer Traffic Conversion Secrets
All newbies to internet marketing need to know how to improve search engine rankings. Anyone who knows anything about internet marketing will know about traffic. Traffic is the amount of visitors and visits a Web site receives. A homebased business simply doesn't survive without it. Whether you are using a landing page, sales letter page, web site, article or blog, you need to attract traffic.
The two main components you need are:
- Good content without verbiage or hype
- Good content with important keywords
Notice the emphasis on good content. That's really important and must not be neglected. However let's concentrate on keywords first.
A keyword is a word or phrase entered into a search engine in an effort to get the search engine to return matching and relevant results. Many web sites offer advertising based on keyword targeting so an advertisers banner will only show when a specific keyword(s) are entered.
So now you know that your keywords have to be high on the internet surfer's search list. However, you'll have huge competition for the popular ones so it is best to choose keywords that are moderately popular as apposed to highly popular.
Here's where we introduce, 'long tailed keywords'. For example, the phrase 'internet marketing' is used by 640,000 of your competitors with around 138,000 people searching for it every month. However with the term 'internet business opportunity' you only have 8,500 competitors with a monthly search by 15,000 people.
Get the picture? Use the less popular long tailed keywords. In the above example, you are 8 times more likely to be found using the moderately popular term.
And don't forget plurals. You may have noticed that earlier in this article I used the term 'improve search engine rankings' (plural). I could have used 'improve search engine ranking' (singular).
Both of these have a monthly search of around 8,000. Combined that's 16,000 searches. The competition for both terms combined is only 3,500.
Look for unusual spellings. For example, 'homebased business' has a monthly search of 10,000 while 'home based business' had 85,000 but with a competition count of 164,000.
You are better off employing several less popular keyword terms whose search numbers when combined are as high as one popular term. However, they will have far less competition. There are several programs on the internet that will help you find the best terms. Some free, some not. Google it - but not just now. I'm getting to a favourite subject of mine.
Untruths and half truths.
When you write articles and blogs, were you told about long tailed keywords? If not, then that's an untruth by omission.
And what about the tedium of all that writing? Were you told not to worry about it and just hire someone to do it for you? Or perhaps you were encouraged to get private label rights (PLR) to some pre-written scripts.
I think that purchasing work written especially for you is quite a good idea. However, the PLR work could be in the hands of a thousand or more people. My suggestion is to re-work any of this material whether personally written for you or otherwise. That way you'll always be providing original content.
I trust this has given you a better perspective on how to improve search engine rankings by using long tailed keywords. Do your research, be genuine and your online homebased business will eventually flourish.
To your success.

No matter how hard some people try to mystify SEO, it is not as complicated as many would lead you to believe. Despite all the techno jargon that many in the field will throw at you: SERPs, SEM, PageRank, Keyword Density, Vertical Search, Algorithms... SEO is really simple to do if you understand some basic concepts and follow some easy steps.
Search Engine Optimization is getting your content listed in all the top positions in Google, Yahoo and MSN for your targeted keywords. When someone does a keyword search in a search engine for your particular subject or niche - you want your site or content to be at the top of the list.
Here are 10 SEO tactics that have worked and are working for me at this moment in time.
1. Quality Content is and always will be your number one factor for getting high rankings and keeping them. You must understand search engines are simply businesses who supply a product like any other company. That product is information. They must offer quality results to anyone using their service to solve a problem, answer a question or to buy a product. The more relevant, the more targeted the search solution they return, the higher the overall quality of their product and the more popular their search engine will become. Providing quality content is vital for SEO success.
2. Keywords are your number one tools for achieving high rankings. You must understand keywords and how they work on the web. You must know how many searches are made each day for your chosen keywords. Sites like Wordtracker and Seobook will give you a rudimentary number of searches. Design your pages around your targeted keywords and don't forget to do some deep-linking to these pages on your site. Find and build backlinks to these interior keyword pages and not just to your home page or domain URL. Picking keywords with medium to low competition has worked out well for me. So too has using the more targeted and higher converting "long-tail" keywords been very beneficial for me.
3. Onpage Factors and site design will play a major role in the spidering and indexing of your site/content. Make sure all your pages are SEO friendly, made sure all your pages can be reached from your homepage and no pages should be no more than three levels away from it - keeping a sitemap listing all your major pages makes the search engines happy. Make sure you have all your meta tags such as title, description, keywords... are all optimized. (Title = around 65 characters, Description = around 160 characters) Remember, your title and description should not only be keyword targeted but these are the first contact/impression anyone will see of your site - make sure you use them to draw and entice interested visitors to your site and content. Also make sure your title and URL are keyword matched for maximum effect. Having your major keyword in your Domain Name also helps, using a pike to separate different elements of your title has helped my rankings, so too does having your keyword in the first and last 25 words on your pages.
4. Google will send you the most qualified traffic so concentrate the majority of your SEO efforts on Google. Don't ignore Yahoo! or MSN but Google is king of search so give it the respect it deserves. With its new browser, Google's influence will only grow stronger so you must optimize your pages for Google. Use Google's Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics to fine-tune your pages/content for Google. I also use Google Alerts to keep up on my niche keywords and for comment link-building on the newly created pages Google is indexing.
5. Link Building is still the most effective way to boost your search rankings. Make sure you get backlinks from relevant sites related to your niche market and make sure the 'anchor text' is related to your keywords but don't ignore the text and overall quality of the content linking to you. The anchor text is the underlined/clickable portion of a link. Don't forget linking is a two-way street, make sure you link out to high quality, high ranked relevant sites in your niche.
6. Article Marketing is a well established method of getting quality backlinks and it still works. Writing short 500 - 700 word informative helpful articles with your backlinks in the resource box is still very effective for getting targeted traffic and backlinks. Longer articles have also worked for me and I use an extensive network of distribution including SubmitYourArticle, Isnare, Thephantomwriters... plus other major online sites. Don't forget the whole element of blogging and RSS feeds in your article distribution. And always remember you're also using these articles to pre-sale your content or products. Don't forget to leverage sites like Squidoo, Hubpages... to increase your rankings and traffic.
7. Onsite Traffic Hubs have worked extremely well for me. These traffic hubs are whole sections of your site devoted to one sub-division of your major theme. For example, if you have a site on Gifts, then wedding gifts could be a separate section. This would be fully fleshed out with extensive pages covering everything dealing with wedding gifts - a self-contained keyword rich portion of your site on wedding gifts. Works similar as a sub-domain but I prefer using a directory to divide it up, such as yourdomain/wedding_gifts. (Most experts suggest always using a hyphen in your urls but underscores have worked fine for me.) Search engines love these keyword/content rich hubs but keep in mind you're creating content to first satisfy your visitors.
8. WordPress blog software is extremely effective for SEO purposes. WordPress software is easy to install on your site even if you have no experience with installing server-side scripts. Besides search engines love these highly SEO friendly blogs with their well structured content and keyword tagging. I have at least one of these on all my sites to draw in the search engines and get my content indexed and ranked. I also use Blogger (owned by Google), Bloglines and other free blogs to help distribute my content.
9. Social Bookmark/Media Sites are becoming very important on the web. These include a whole range of social sites like MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter... media news sites like Digg, SlashDot, Technorati... you must get your content into this whole mix if you want to take full SEO advantage of Web 2.0 sites. You should be joining these sites and using them. It's time consuming but it will keep you in the swing of things. One simple thing you must do is to put social bookmark buttons on all your pages so that your visitors can easily bookmark your content for you. You can use a WordPress plug-in or I like using a simple free site/service from Addthis.com which gives me a simple button to put on all my content.
10. Masterplan! Many webmasters and site owners forget to develop or have an overall masterplan/strategy when it comes to SEO. You must have an understanding of what SEO is and what it can do for you and your site. More importantly, you just don't want SEO - you want effective SEO. In order to achieve effective SEO you must have three things: Relevance, Authority and Conversions.
First, your content/site must be relevant to the topic or niche area you're pursuing - your content must fit in and be related to all the other sites in your niche. That's why closely themed sites do so well in the search engines, they give only relevant content to what's been searched for or discussed.
Second, your content/site must be perceived as an authority site on your subject or niche. Establish this authority position and the search engines will love you and your content. One way is to develop this authority, besides offering superior content, is to form links/partnerships with other perceived authority sites in your field. Always strive to make your site an authority site - tops in your niche - the one site everyone has to check before drawing or forming a conclusion.
Third, conversions should be your main goal of any SEO efforts because you want to convert your targeted traffic into site members, subscribers, buyers or just repeat visitors. If you're into online marketing, conversions will be the most important element of the whole SEO process because you want buyers, not just visitors coming to your site.
Most of all, you must convince yourself Search Engine Optimization is not difficult, nor is it the equivalent of the online bogeyman as many would like you to believe. Used effectively, SEO can give you the targeted traffic you're seeking, just follow some of the outlined steps/tactics listed above and you will have SEO working for you and your site in no time at all.

Using Internal Linking To Get Better Search Engine Exposure
Using Internal Linking To Get Better Search Engine Exposure
Get Free Copy of Derek Gehl's Six Steps You Need To Follow To Guarantee The Success Of Your Online Business! & Affiliate Marketer's Handbook
Anyone who runs a website should be aware of a few basic search engine linking tactics. Used properly you can interlink your website so that Google, Yahoo and the other major search engines will rate you higher in both page rank and search engine results for your keyword/key phrase niche terms. If you're unaware of what internal linking means, here's a basic overview.
Internal linking involves the links on your website that point to other pages on your website. Internal linking is very important because it allows the search engine spiders, those automated bots that scour the Internet looking for information, to find all of the pages on your website. In comparison, external linking are links that are on your website which link out to other websites, and there are specific tactics for those as well. In this article, however, we're going to cover a few simple tactics and strategies to get your internal linking up to speed.
When you're developing your website, you will tend to put a whole lot of pages of similar information tailored to a specific niche or subject that you want to convey to your visitors. You probably will have information, news, how-to articles, tips and sales pages, where informed visitors can buy your products or services. Your internal linking structure will not only benefit your visitors, but it will help you rank better with the search engines as well.
Having a good navigation system makes Google and Yahoo happy, and in turn, they will reward because you are doing things to improve the visitors' website experience. So, for example, if you have an internal linking structure that is seamless, intuitive and allows your visitors to quickly find what they're looking for, search engines will give you more page rank, index more of your web pages and and return higher search results for user queries.
Why? You have taken the time to help your website visitors have an excellent customer experience. As result, your tactics and strategies should be geared towards giving arriving visitors not only the information that they seek, but have it presented in a way that they will and search engine bots will love.
So how do you accomplish this? There are a few basic tactics, you can use that will increase your internal linking structure right off the bat.
Number 1 - use the rel="nofollow HTML tag for pages that you don't want to pass rank to Google. For example, let's say you had a three-page site. Now, we all know that most people have more than three pages for an entire website; however, this will make it easier to follow.
The first page is your home page which gets 100% of the search engine ranking and love. The second pages are an information or information/sales page, with the third is a checkout page. If you don't use the nofollow tag on one of the pages, both pages will be passed half of 50% each for the link from the home page. So, they'll each get 25% of the ranking and love passed through from the spiders. The search engine spiders will naturally give your home page the best page rank and index it first. Say, you want to link to the information/sales page and make sure that a lot of people find it, because the information page is what will sell your product or service. For ranking and indexing purposes, you consider the checkout page as useless, so you don't care if the search engines find it or not. In fact, you'd prefer it if they didn't index it all. What do you do?
When you link from your home page, you can do one of two things.
Link to the information page only from the home page. Link to both pages but use the no follow tag to the check out page. In that way, if someone arrives who is already sold on your product, they can go directly to your checkout page and buy the product. However, if it is an uninformed visitor, they can clickthrough to your information/sales page or they click on the indexed Google or Yahoo link that's been picked up by the spider
Two things happen with scenario #2. You give the customer/visitor the option. Because, the search engine is applying SEO love to one page and not two, the page rank passed will not be 25% and 25% for each page, but 0% for the check out page and 50% for the information page which needs it. You maintain the search engine indexing and page rank for those pages that are important. This is just one thing to consider when setting up your website.
This is just one thing that needs to be considered when setting up your website. Professional SEO firms use this algorithm in order to get specific pages on your website to rank hire and return results in the search engine results pages that are much higher than a other pages like your checkout pages which you don't care about.
Number 2 - Add extra links in your navigation area or footer area that link to important pages and main sections on your website. This extremely easy tactic is often overlooked by many websites, but it does return very good results for deep linking, and most SEO firms will review your footer links when they you on as a candidate in order to utilize that other form of deep linking. The reason for this is that so many people forget to do it, and many Web designers add really cool buttons, images and all kinds of funky image stuff that do nothing to increase your page rank or your results in a search engines. You should remember that search engines can't follow image links or links created in JavaScript. So, you want to add simple text links that the robots can follow the indexing your website more fully.
These are only two of the tactics that are covered when you hire a professional, savvy SEO firm to optimize your web layout and linking structure.

SEO Tips for Improving Your Google Rankings
SEO Tips for Improving Your Google Rankings
Download Free Copy Of XyberBlocks By Jeff Alderson & Rod Beckwith
Consider this: Your website hits from Google aren't as high as you'd want them to be and you realize that your site is placing as the 30th, 50th or 300th site. You then tell yourself that whatever ranking it is you've gotten for a functional keyword is still pretty useless.
That might not actually be the case since if you've already gotten yourself in Google's rankings through a keyword, you could still probably have hope. If your web site deals with that particular topic, you could then improve your rankings without having to spend anything. And how is this done exactly? First, you'll find about how highly you're ranked for that particular keyword.
Know About Your Keyword Placement in Google
With the Google Rankings site at www.googlerankings.com, you can learn where you are in the list. This can be quite a useful tool if you employ it properly. If you are placed in the first thousand, you could improve your ranking by orienting your page for much greater relevance.
Have Search Traffic Approximations
You should then know about the amount of visits you might get. With Digital Point, you can have a free program that allows you to estimate the number of visits each day that high rankings might then get. It's at www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion.
Have Keyword Optimization
The next step involves using the term you've picked and then having your page optimized with that term. With GoRank.com, you'll be able to check for continuous ratings on search engines. You also would get suggestions on what Yahoo or Google might want.
Figure out The Keyword Density Your Site Should Have
After knowing the number of visits you wish to get, you should then find out about how Google will rate your page and you do this by calculating the density of your keywords. This step is also available at GoRank.com with a program that figures out the density. Create your page knowing about these things and you're nearly finished with the work.
Submitting Your Site
Manual search engine submissions to get placed in directories aren't required anymore but it still would be an ideal thing to do because:
* Having links to the site would allow spiders to place your site in their index. * Inbound links are what search engines look for in rating your site.
These search engines would know about your site even without you doing any submissions. As long as there are links leading to your site, the search engines will find your site. But there are several good directories that you would want to submit to:
* The Open Directory at http://www.dmoz.org/ * Yahoo Directory at http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
The Popularity of the Link
The best tool for SEO is link popularity as majority of engines would not rank sites if that site does not have even a link or two leading to it. To have some other web site pointing to the site you own helps you achieve a better site ranking.

SEO Targeted Marketing Helps You Rank Higher And Sell Products
SEO Targeted Marketing Helps You Rank Higher And Sell Products
By Rex Stevenson
Download Free Copy Of XyberBlocks
Most people believe that SEO is only the use of certain words that are supposed to help you get a better ranking in the search engines. To a degree this is true, but lots of times we become so focused on those words and getting that high ranking that we lose the meaning of the content and we lose the interest of readers. The information we are trying to transmit is becoming unreadable and extremely boring.
How does SEO work? Well supposedly Google, Yahoo, and other search engines have tools which help them see how relevant your site is to a certain subject based on the number of times certain words are repeated within your content. So many decide to repeat or include the words for which they want their products to be found many times. The problem with this is that the content becomes unreadable, and the search engines are realizing this and changing it. Its no longer about using the right words a certain number of times, it's about getting relevant content to your product. Its about informing your readers about your product. Readers are actually interested in finding out more about your product.
The objective is to find the right kind of reader, the one that is interested in what you have to say and what your product is. This is called SEO targeted marketing. So you need to get relevant, interesting, and fresh information on your site. You want readers that are interested in your product and not in something that doesn't have to do with what you are selling because you won't be able to keep that type of reader.
So essentially, SEO target marketing "kills two birds with one stone". You give the reader the information he needs, and the search engines rank you for having relevant information to the keywords you are using.
The increase of traffic will be due to the relevance of the information of your site to your product, and thus this will produce more sales. SEO marketing deals with getting interested visitors to your site.
When people see that you have interesting information on your site, they are more likely to become buyers. The relevant traffic will make you and your readers both happy because they will actually get what they are looking for.
When you market online you always want to pay attention to SEO, but only SEO for the market you want and for the people that may be interested in your product.
Keeping the balance between SEO and good content is the key to your SEO endeavors and getting the right traffic to your site, traffic that is willing to buy your product or keep coming back for good information and eventually buy your product.

Smarter SEO; How to Own ANY Niche
Smarter SEO; How to Own ANY Niche
Get Free Copy of Derek Gehl's Six Steps You Need To Follow To Guarantee The Success Of Your Online Business! & Affiliate Marketer's Handbook
Just ten years ago if you wanted to profit in a niche market it was typically an expensive and risky undertaking. First you had to do the research to see if the industry was big enough to support you. Then you would setup a shop of some sort, whether it was a storefront, mall kiosk, or kitchen table run a mail order company and tons of little classified ads to bring in the business. It usually took at least six months to see if a profit was likely in your future and finding good suppliers for specialty items could be just as demanding as selling the stuff you managed to get hold of. Thanks to the Web, those days are long gone.
Today, with a little basic information and $50 you can have a nice niche thing going. Or with that same $50 and some hard won insider tips you can OWN any niche you want. That's what we'll focus on.
First things first, spend wisely. Setup a budget early on and find ways to stay within it. Use free tools whenever possible and when you do need to spend money on something, make sure it's a bargain.
Okay, now for the good stuff. Let's start with finding our keywords...
Part One: Finding Keywords
Finding Keywords 1: We can use a free tool to do this part. Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type in a common word or phrase that describes your niche (check the Use synonyms box to get the best variety of results.)
Finding Keywords 2: Now click on the "Approx Avg Search Volume" header to sort by the average monthly volume. You are going to take each of the search terms that look like good possible keywords and run a search on Google for them. But lets keep track. Take a sheet of paper (or Excel doc) and jot down the keyword, then the "Approx Avg Search Volume" and finally the number of pages returned on Google.
Finding Keywords 3: When you have that information for a good handful of keywords you want to come up with a success potential ratio for each. It's easy. Just divide the "Approx Avg Search Volume" by the number of pages on Google. This is your success potential ratio. The higher the number; the better.
Example A: Approx Avg Search Volume (6,500) / Matching Pages on Google (100,000) = .065 is your Success Potential Ratio
Example B: Approx Avg Search Volume (9,750) / Matching Pages on Google (233,000) = .042 is your Success Potential Ratio
Example B has a lot more searches performed but with even more competition than A. Long story short, this means the keyword from Example A is likely our best bet to target.
Part Two: Securing Domain Names
Securing Domain Names 1: Now go to your favorite domain registrar (like Godaddy.com Register.com or whatever) and run a domain registration availability search for the keyword phrase with the highest Success Potential Ratio.
Securing Domain Names 2: Use dashes! And don't feel like the splits need to be perfect. For example, if you have a possible domain that is three words long, first try it without any dashes. That will be gone, I can almost guarantee. Next try separating each word with a dash. Maybe it's taken, maybe not. If not, grab it! If it is taken, don't despair. Try just one dash between the first two words and let the second and third run together. If that version is taken, move the dash so it is between the second and third while the first and second run together. Chances are you will find one that works. Ad the best part is the search engines read it as the same keyword!
Securing Domain Names 2: Keep in mind, this domain and resulting Website is for SEO purposes NOT branding. Who cares how long it is or how many dashes it has? Certainly not you. The search engines will love it!
Securing Domain Names 3: A word of advice... Get your domain name as quickly as possible. The older it is, the better in Google's eyes. And they actually run date scans on domains using a Whois registry so they know the exact date and minute the domain was registered.
If you've never used one check out AllWhoIs.com or BetterWhoIs.com and enter any domain name. It tells you all kinds of stuff, including the owner, registrar, date or registration and even the owner's home phone address if that's what he or she used to register.
Securing Domain Names 4: As for the domain type, .com is best bet and .net and .org extensions also do well. I don't bother with the others and I really strive for .com whenever possible.
Part Three: Deciding on Website Type
Deciding on Website Type 1: Do you want a blog or a regular static site? For quickest results I recommend setting up a WordPress blog (free technology with thousands of free templates.) Google loves blogs because they are fresh, dynamic and already nearly perfectly optimized for their spidering bot.
Deciding on Website Type 2: If you do go with WordPress I also recommend installing the free WordPress plugin "All in One SEO Pack" by Michael Torbert. It's amazing and totally free. You can get it at http://semperfiwebdesign.com/category/portfolio/wordpress/wordpress-plugins/
Part Four: Finding Web Hosting
Finding Web Hosting 1: There are tens or thousands of companies you can go with or you can even just host your site at WordPress.com.
Finding Web Hosting 2: Personally I like to maintain full control of my site for future expansions and customizations. And I have so many niche blogs in service that saving even just a few bucks is a big deal. I use the starter blog package available at http://www.vortexhost.com/hosting/blog-hosting.php for $25 per year. It's also got push button WordPress installation, which is nice. So I'm up and running in about five minutes.
Finding Web Hosting 3: But again, there are literally tens of thousands of hosts to choose from. Shop around and stick with one you really like. It's much easier to track each of your niche blogs with a single host (control panels, stats, etc.)
Part Five: Optimizing Your Site
Optimizing Your Site 1: So far we've covered how to select the most profitable keywords, purchase unbeatable domain names, use the Website type most revered by Google for quickest results and how to get reliable inexpensive hosting with bonus features. And we have only spent about $35 ($10 for the domain and $25 for hosting.)
Optimizing Your Site 2: Now we move onto the actual optimization part. I will laundry list the things you need to keep in mind for a competitive edge and recommend a tool bargain if you decide you need one.
Use two of your most important keywords per page; the primary and a secondary.
Use your main and secondary keyword in the page or post title.
Try to make each page about 500 words in length or more, using at least five paragraphs.
Mention your main keyword about four time one the page as follows: Once at the beginning of the first sentence, once in the second paragraph, once in the third paragraph and once towards the end of the final paragraph.
Mention your secondary keyword about four time one the page as follows: Once toward the end of the first sentence, once in the third paragraph, once in the fourth paragraph and once towards the beginning of the final paragraph.
Add your keywords and META descriptions to the WordPress plugin "All in One SEO Pack" and let that do the heavy lifting for you.
Optimizing Your Site 3: If you have an SEO analyzer tool, use it. This is a tool that goes through you site just like Google will, and does the same to your top competitors that dominate your search engine of choice, then tells you EXACTLY what you need to do to steal their top positions.
Optimizing Your Site 4: If you don't have a tool like that but think it would help, you can download a free trial version of one of the better ones at http://www.iBusinessPR0M0TER.com. If you decide to buy it, you will have the same tool that makes eBay number one all over the world. And for about $250.
Well that's it. You can dominate any niche you want with little time, effort or expense. Why do I feel so confident about it? This is the exact process I have used to dominate over fifty niches from Bass fishing to coin collecting and, of course, search engine optimization.
Above all else enjoy the ride. Best of luck!

How to Get Your New Website Ranked in the Search Engines
How to Get Your New Website Ranked in the Search Engines
Download Free Copy Of 14 Point Web Copy Analysis By Yanik Silver
If you want search engine traffic to your website you must learn how to optimize it correctly. Most people do not understand this and never get all the fantastic free traffic that comes from the search engines. This article explains the basics of optimizing your website for the search engines.
Visitors find websites in several different ways. One of the most popular ways is to do a search for a keyword phrase.
Therefore for you to have a chance to get some of that traffic you need to show up in the results on a search engine for as many keywords as possible. You do that by optimizing your website pages for as many words as possible.
One mistake people make when optimizing their website for search engines is they do not target specific keywords. Not only that but they really never understand what keywords people are searching for to start with.
This is probably the single biggest mistake you can make. You should be developing a keyword list that is hundreds or thousands of words in length. Then you should be optimizing each page each around an individual word and only that word or phrase.
You can become an Internet spy and look at some of the pages of your competition. Most of the websites that rank high on the search engines have done an excellent job of targeting individual keyword phrases.
If you want to know what it's going to take for you to get on those pages look at your competition. You should not copy them specifically, but you can use them to give you exact examples of what search engines are looking for in terms of an optimized webpage.
You may not be able to beat your competitors on some of the more competitive phrases, but you will be able to quickly get on page for lesser searched on phrases if you optimize a webpage for those.
These are known as longtail keyword phrases and can bring you excellent targeted traffic, as you get on page 1 for as many different ones as possible.
Setting up a webpage for a targeted longtail keyword phrase is very easy to do. Here are the things each page should contain.
1. The title of the webpage should be your keyword phrase and included in the title tag.
2. You should include your keywords in the meta tags for the description and keywords as well. Meta tags are not as important for the majority of search engines these days, but it doesn't hurt to at least list the keyword phrase that you're targeting for that page.
3. As you develop your webpage you should include headline tags and your primary keywords should be in the first headline tag (H1 tag).
4. In the text of your page you may also want to bold, underline or italicized some of the keyword phrases in the first paragraph, and in the last paragraph.
5. To round the page out include your keyword phrase one or two more times, including at the bottom of the page.
6. If you are including any images on the page add your keywords to the alt attribute of one or two of the images.
7. Write your web pages for visitors rather than only considering the search engines. If you write unique high quality content you have a much better chance of getting traffic from the search engines.
In summary, the best way to go about optimizing your website for search engines and get as much free traffic as possible is to target specific keyword phrases and set up individual webpages around specific keywords.
This is not nearly as complicated as it sounds and can bring you a tremendous amount of traffic when done correctly.

Top 3 Google SEO Linking Strategies
Top 3 Google SEO Linking Strategies
Download Free Copy Of 14 Point Web Copy Analysis By Yanik Silver
Times have changed. Just a couple short years ago, about 60% to 70% of your website ranking success depended on links. Now up to 85% of your page's search engine rank on Google relates to how it is linked. More specifically, the quality and number of inbound links.
Google looks at everything from the "authority level" of the linked sites to their "PageRank" and even the IP class they use (Internet Protocol designation.) While we don't have hours to get into every little detail, I have provided three simple surefire ways to get hundreds of top rate inbound links to any page or your site you wish. And this is the absolute fastest way to get on top of Google and stay there for the long haul. So, here we go...
Google SEO Linking Strategy One: Hire a blog reviewer.
Hiring a professional blogger can be a quick way to getting the links you want. Here's how it works... You are basically hiring a blog reviewer to chat up your Website. You set the tone of what is said and even give them acceptable working parameters to meet, such as the blog's traffic rating, type of blog and overall popularity.
You can hire independent people from services like eLance.com, Guru.com or RentaCoder.com or you can use a service that specializes in blog reviewers for hire, like http://www.PayPerPost.com. Personally, I like PayPerPost because it's their specialty and this is their "posties" livlihood, so they tend to do a great job. It's extremely reliable and great for social networking but considerably slower and ultimately more expensive than the following methods if your goal is simply link building.
Google SEO Linking Strategy Two: Write articles on your Website's topic.
Providing useful article content to readers of newsletters and article directories is one of the fastest and most reliable ways to get high quality inbound links. But even more important to some is that if you share your expertise the right way, you will likely become a recognized expert in your field in no time.
People have filled entire books on the subject of article marketing so let me just hit the highlights here. This will be enough to get you started and help your name become trusted by both publishers and readers alike. Just remember these six simple guidelines...
1.) The article has to accomplish two things. First, it has to be 100% legitimate and not contain any inflated facts or sales pitches. And second it absolutely must present real value to the reader and the publisher. Don't ever write an article just for your own sake. A solely self serving article will be immediately transparent to the publisher and to most readers. Most people understand you want something in return for sharing your knowledge and are very happy to oblige a mutually beneficial arrangement, such as a great article for a link back in your bio.
2.) Obey the rules of where you are submitting your work. This is extremely important! Don't waste an editor or publisher's time. Be sure to select the best, and most descriptive category possible for your submission.
3.) You can (and in my opinion, should) write in a casual, conversational style but be careful to spell check the article and review it for clarity before submitting it. Once you have written something, especially something with your name attached to it, it will be a representation of you.
4.) Make the article the appropriate length for what you have to say. Don't drone on or cut it too short. Most article directories have guidelines about how long they like to see submissions. The same goes for newsletters. If you can't find this info for the directory you like, sticking between 500 and 1,000 words is usually a safe bet and usually up to 1,250 is OK. If you have more to say, consider splitting it into multiple articles that deal with one specific topic each.
5.) Be brief in your bio section. If your article is well written and contains similar words to the keywords you want to be found for, 350 characters (or about 40 words) should be more than enough to tell a little about yourself, your services with one or two relevant keywords properly placed. Just be sure to use those keywords as anchor text when linking to the page that covers that keyword's topic on your site. Many directories will let you have two links in the bio section and all allow at least one.
6.) And I saved the big one for last. Provide unique content to each article directory. Nobody wants to post duplicate content so carefully reword at least one third of the article so it is unique. This will help both the publisher and the quality of your resulting inbound your links.
Big Tip: Writing dozens or even hundreds of article variations to eliminate duplicate content can take a great deal of time. Then manually submitting them to hundreds of directories takes even longer. A nice solution is using an article distribution service that allows you to enter slight variations to specific sections of your article and then combines them in unique ways to provide unique content for the search engines and readers. I am NOT talking about a system that creates robotic substitutions based on replacing similar words from a thesaurus. That produces junk. I'm talking about a system that allows you to submit your own text with alternate sentences or even whole paragraphs. This works amazingly well and can easily create over one thousand article variations based on about twenty extra minutes of your time when you submit your article. And of course, write as many variations of your bio as you can too.
One system that does a great job is available at http://www.SubmitYourArticle.us. They even review the article to ensure it is a good candidate for publication, which gives you advice from a professional editor for free. They do it to help protect their own reputation as well but the benefits to you are immeasurable.
Google SEO Linking Strategy Three: Use a three way linking system.
Google has discounted the use of straight reciprocal links to the point that many people feel they are not worth the time and effort to obtain. I still use them sparingly but I avoid reciprocal linking systems like the plague. Google hates them and they are so easy to detect that you might as well put a banner on your site saying "Hey Google, I use a link farm!"
Three way linking, however, is another story. Reciprocal linking is very easy to detect but 3 way links are altogether different. It works like this... Site 1 links to Site 2 and then Site 2 links to Site 3. And finally Site 3 links to Site 1, or even to another site in the chain. In short; every link is a true and verifiable one way inbound link.
If you are part of a group of similar sites, this is well worth doing. But if you need to build links quickly or don't have the time to set this up yourself, you can use a service like 3 Way Linker (http://www.3WayLinker.com). It's the ideal "set it and forget it" option and gives you full control over important aspects of linking.

Do you know what SEO is? You have surely heard it many times and you probably know that SEO is short for search engine optimization. However, do you really know what it is and how it can help your internet business? What it really means can be broken down into two different issues. You will have two different ways that you can use this to get traffic to your site from natural search engine rankings.
SEO is when you optimize your website using keywords that the search engines will pick up on. The keywords are what tell the search engine what the webpage is about. You also need to do search engine optimization by doing some optimizing off your website. In other words, you need to start building links back to your site that will help you get your site natural search engine rankings.
So, how can you use SEO two different ways to get natural search engine rankings? Here is what you need to know about search engine optimization that will help you get traffic from search engines that you don't have to pay for.
One: On page search engine optimization - This is where you use keywords in your website content that the search engines will pick up on. It will take time for you to get listed in the natural results but just keep putting fresh content on your site using your chosen keywords.
The more unique and fresh your content is, the faster your website will be listed. However, you don't want to overdo it. Put new content on your website once or twice a week or even once every two weeks. You don't want to try and rush SEO because if you do then you will quickly find that you can't. So, take your time and make sure that you do as much search engine optimization on your website as you can.
Two: The second way that you can use SEO for your business online is to get inbound links from other websites. Search engines think of a site as being important when it has a lot of links pointing back to it from other people's websites. So, you want to make sure that you get as many links pointing back to your site as you can. In this way you can get the most from this search engine optimization method.
One thing that you want to be aware of is that you don't want to try and build the too links fast. Too many people will get a lot of links pointing back to their website in one day or one week and this can get you blacklisted with the search engines. Instead, you want to get just a few backlinks to your site every day. Slowly build up the links pointing to your site and this method of SEO will become very effective at getting traffic to your website.
By doing these things you can easily use SEO effectively to build your business. Just remember that you can't rush search engine optimization.

Search Engine Marketing Revealed

Search marketing or search engine marketing (SEM) is all about harnessing the search engines for marketing purposes. For some, it's an obvious decision whether or not to use search marketing. Others need a little more convincing. But first, let's understand how it works...
When someone users a search engine (SE) to look for information or something to buy, they type in words into the search form and up comes a list of sites and descriptions. There may one, two or literally hundreds of pages of these listings, known as search engine ranking pages (SERPs). There are paid results and free results.
Is the very first position on the SERPs the best position to have? Well, opinions vary. Many search engine marketers believe that the top spot on the free listings is the best... but not necessarily believe that the top spot on the paid listings is as profitable as, say, a couple of spots down. Ideally, in as far as the paid listings go, this is something you should test.
SEM involves two distinct fields:
1. Search engine optimization (SEO); and
2. Paid advertising
SEO essentially involves trying to achieve a high "authority" status for your website, for the keywords or phrases your targeting. This, in turn, translates into a higher rank in the SERPs. The search engines' each use complex formulas to calculate the relative authority of different websites and webpages, and rank them accordingly. Such formulas are not publicly known, so search engine optimizers or "SEOs" use various tactics that they think will lead to a high position in the SERPs. Additionally, since the search engines sometimes change these formulas, SEOs have their work cut out for them. Because of the rather peculiar nature of SEO, it appeals to a certain breed of person - often someone who likes solving enormous puzzles!
Pay-per-click advertising is a matter of bidding for certain keywords or keyphrases in order to achieve a higher listing. However, depending on the search engine in question, it's not quite so simple as the higher the bid, the higher your listing. Google, for example, also bases the paid rankings on the click through rate achieved by a given pay-per-click ad. This rate is the percentage of clicks on your ad divided by all ad views (based on how many instances of the ad are viewed). In simple terms, the higher your bid price AND the higher your click through rate, the higher your paid listing. So... it's possible to bid less than someone else and still have your ad appear higher, just because you get more people clicking on your ad. In the case of pay-per-impression advertising, you are paying for each impression or view of your ad.
Buying paid listings is a great way to test product and service offers. That's why many people advocate that you master PPC before concentrating on optimizing your organic listings. However, there is also an art and science to running an effective pay-per-click campaign. Choosing the right keywords, writing effective ad copy, and having an effective bidding strategy are all essential to pay-per-click success. And don't forget, just like any form of advertising, you want to make sure that you end up with a positive return on your investment. It's one thing to get a lot of clicks... it's another thing to get clicks that convert into sales.
Search marketing is well worth pursuing if you're serious about building a web-based business. But given the work involved, that does NOT mean that YOU need to manage all your search marketing efforts. You can always hire individuals or companies to optimize your webpages for SEO purposes, or to run your PPC campaigns.
